Autumn is undeniably the best season. Cold and rainy weather is somehow comforting to me.
Seeing that collapsed house made me happy to remember that nature will always win in the end.

Glad you enjoyed my neck of the woods, NJ! I live in a log home approx. 30 minutes from the High Point, it is so beautiful up here. Lots of lakes, mountains and wildlife.

Quick tip on photographing deer.
If they start to bolt and you let out a loud, short whistle (like whistling for your dog), 90% of the time the deer will stop for just a second and look right at you.

Ally, you can make grape juice with those grapes by using the hot pack canning method. Many moons ago when I was much younger & lived off grid for a decade myself & an ex made the grape juice by boiling hot water with our own maple syrup to taste and pouring it over a couple of inches of washed grapes in a 1 qt canning jars that had been heated by placing them in a canning rack in a large canning pan. Hot jars are important so the jars don't crack. Add the water & quickly put the lids on and let the jars cool off. You'll know when the jars have sealed one by one when you hear the lids "pop". You can remove the rings from the jars after they seal to reuse. It was delicious! Good luck on your journey young people! Nothing like a nice down home girl... 🙏🏻

I’m almost positive my girlfriend and I actually camped that same spot you guys camped at your first night! We went in July. If it was the same area, and if you’re ever back over there, check out Arrowood Farms.
Also, if you’re ever back in Pa, try to hit the Colton Point State Park area. (Known as the Grand Canyon of Pa). Probably the most beautiful part of the state.
