This man has helped me learn to produce my own chemicals (hormones, drugs) by controlling my thoughts. That then has changed my emotional states. I no longer have a constant sadness underlying all of life and when I do, I know what to do with it. I'll probably never afford your supplements but that's OK. You've given me all the tools I need to become my true self for free! I'm forever grateful to you and the parents that raised you ❤️
I think timestamps are the most underrated feature on youtube. Thank you so much H. Lab editor(s) for using them! It saves us so much time to get out ice baths in :)
Dear Dr. Huberman, It resonated (beyond reproach) as you described the ‘inner turmoil’ one goes through in utter silence during certain ‘Social/Work Interactions’…..My father was a violent man & if we cried or made a noise (In any situation) there would be hell to pay….I realized Today? Even in my 50’s? I am still that way….Your words rang so true….You are both a ‘Scientist’ as well as a ‘Observer Of The Soul’…..
Easily one of the best stand-ups of our generation. This guy takes observational humor to the next level. Not many comics use can human biology and neurology as material and still work a crowd.
Yes, doc hub makes complex science/health education so palatable ❤ and his humility, his sense of irony, and his level of candor and honesty is profoundly engaging ✔️ he’s uniquely inspirational and has been amazing us/me every single week since he began offering these highly educational episodes - when we were all dealing with the early days of the pandemic! 👏👏👏 I love the idea of implementing a random - intermittent reward system 💪 and it’s really powerful that you continue to reinforce the positive impact of morning ( +viewing low solar angle at dusk ) sunlight exposure- and the impact of combining sunlight exposure with forward movement, exercise, and. body temps are game changers! 😊thank you so much 👏👆👆📚
Was just thinking that while watching. He's got such a refined sophisticated sense of humor, and in service of science, he has turned relaying knowledge into a wonderful performance.
One of our finest stand-up talents. You really care about work and others, and that's motivating and inspirational. Know that you're helping others. This made my day, thank you! ✨ Xo Heather Thrills
I love hearing about Dr. Huberman's dangerous adventures in the field. The climbing with Wim, cold water swims, and his shark cage diving experience shared with Tim Ferriss. He's definitely humble but I'm happy these experiences come out sometimes.
Besides the content of your lectures and podcasts, you really put me in a good mood. The way you interact, talk, smile and the whole thing. It's clear that you care about what you do and about people. That is truly inspiring and energising...you're putting a lot of good out there in the world, know that!
Oh my god, your words about grief being space and time completely resonate with me. I've always been interested in the fact that people who have died in my life create a sort of confusion in my mind. I felt that they were not here and physcially they are still alive somewhere else. And everytime, I've had a dream (within sleep) and come to terms with it in a new fashion. A friend who passed, I felt he was physically alive somewhere else. Then a few years later, I suddenly had a dream in which I walked into a room. I touched his body and it was completely cold. When I woke up, I had understood that he was not physically here anymore. My brain had finally come to terms with it. This has happened in other instances as well (all within a sleep dream). I never had a way of describing it until I heard this. I really, really look forward to the upcoming episode. Thanks for all you do
i’m sorry for your loss. and yes, i thought that was a beautiful description. when my cat died i kept thinking i heard her coming down the stairs, or i would reach out to touch her and realize she wasn’t there. the description of grief meaning love really resonated with me.
What an extraordinary human being you are! Thank you for finding a way to mentor so many of us online, sharing knowledge in such an interesting and humble way ❤️
Nailed GRIEF!!!!!! MANY BULLIES ..I LOVED BRED...A BEAUTIFUL SON ELIJAH ...10 YEARS IN HEAVEN ..GRIEF DEFINITELY IS LOVE ABSOLUTELY TRUE...THE DEEPER THE ❤LOVE❤THE DEEPER THE GRIEF....FIRST PERSON TO NAIL GRIEF IN MY 20 YEAR JOURNEY ..❤LOVE THE LAB OF DR HUBERMAN ❤THANK YOU❤
Thank you Andrew, love you podcasts but these Q&As are gold. Feels more like having a coffee with a friend and great unexpected stuff comes up, just to reveal you are an awesome person all-round with a smart sense of humor. Thanks for sharing nd making lives better!
People like mr.huberman have no clue how much they help people. I practice many things he preaches and I am very thankful for people like this that look for nothing in return!
These Q&A’s from your LIVE events in both Seattle, and in Portland too. ❤ bravo to you and the growth of your dedication to this illuminating podcast 👏👏👏 thank you for sharing so much education and also so much of yourself to this incredible contribution that you’ve made totally free and accessible to all at zero cost 💪❤️🙏👏 your dedication and brilliance shines like refreshing sunshine here - 😎
I haven't started watching, 6 minutes late, but I know Andrew will give yet another interesting, informative, world class q&a. Thank you so much Dr Andrew Huberman.
I refer to Andrew Huberman as my ‘boyfriend’ to my husband because I spend so much time listening to his podcasts! I am a therapist and refer my clients to his podcasts! He knows his stuff and he is very relatable! A true Star!
Love your podcast since day 1. One of the best, if not the best, science communicator in the human sciences field. I really liked this format. I thought you guided the dialogue nicely, tying back-in to the podcast and former guests. Masterful delivery. And then your personal story skateboarding and dealing with the loss of your beloved Costello. Having had the pleasure of connecting with your podcast, it was a nice touch of human element. We appreciate you.
You have not only helped me get my health on track, but i am motivated to further my education🙏. I hope to someday have a professor that gets me as exited as Andrew
Thank you, Dr. Huberman, you have restored my faith in the positive power of the podcast format. I appreciate your focus on the importance of scientific research and the equal importance of each of us developing our own understanding of our individual biological/psychological systems. You have introduced me to effective stress and trauma processing tools that have allowed me to move forward through some painful past experiences. And, as a 40+ year old skateboarder, your advice on physical performance and recovery has helped keep me on the board. I'm bummed that I missed this talk in Portland, so thanks for posting this video. The next time you're in town, bring your skateboard and I'll meet you down at Burnside for a session.😁🤙
the amount of love i have for you Dr. Huberman is unparalleled. somehow you’ve educated me, inspired me and made me laugh all in one go. thank you for your service.
TOPIC SUGGESTION: Personality is a concept that is widely used in everyday life, but its biological origins are not so publicized to the general public. An episode on the subject would be very interesting, covering the biological bases, personality disorders, tools and behaviors for personality improvement considering the dimensions of the Big Five. Thanks.
I love listening to a podcast I can trust with easy tools and life style changes to improve my life. Everything is super easy to understand at any education level. I would love to request the subject of dissociative identity disorder although it may be a controversial subject it is one that I am very interested in. Thank you for all the work that you and your team do!
Great episode as always. Would love to hear more Q&A episodes in the future. I also wanted to suggest a future episode topic. Would love to hear one regarding irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) hopefully with an interview with any of the experts in the field.
Grateful, Andrew, for your podcasts. I am learning a lot. I wonder if you could do a podcast on tinnitus. I have been suffering from this condition most of my life and now with the menopause is even worse (I think). So any tips/tools you may be able to share would be greatly appreciated. Muchas gracias! And I wish to add that I love your voice. It is clear even in the midst of London's traffic, which makes walking listening one of your podcast an enjoyable experience.
17:10 Writing and circling "I am so happy right now." is something I've noticed helps you realize how you feel to the maximum extent. It's almost as if we're speaking to our subconscious and saying "Hey, this is how I feel right now." Very interesting to hear that.
Mr Hubberman. I would like to ask you If you could ever consider do a hair loss related podcast. Its something that a lot of people, mostly man are interested and theres a lot of bs outthere. And its interesting not only in phisiological level but also in the neurocience that comes with it and also with treatments like finasteride that can have this depresión side effects. Thank you for your material
I have only subscribed to two channels on RUclips and Dr. Huberman, your podcast is one of them. I love your command on the subject and your work to translate to practical information that helps live a better life. As an engineer, I love the details you provide of the mechanics of the chemicals that works our body, decision making, and moods. I would love if you could help understand how some men are so mesaginistic, bias, and gaslight women all the time, and while feeling that's their right. It's there any hope that with help of science that can be changed, or is it hard wired for life?
Just last night, I was discussing with a friend how Dr. Huberman should talk about Wim Hof. Viola! He uploads a video today where he talks about the superhuman. The other questions on dopamine and social media and fear were awesome too.
Is there literature to support muscle preservation by beginning long distance runs with a few sprints? I enjoy hours of LISS cardio but worry about how elevated levels of cortisol can cause muscle loss and arterial calcification so I'm experimenting on myself by sprinting before my runs. Both to increase my baseline jogging speed and also to get that HGH spike to hopefully prevent muscle loss or interference effect. Is there any data to support this or am I still going to experience some muscle loss or even greater loss since I still go on to an hour + of jogging afterwards.
My understanding is that cortisol doesn't cause muscle loss, rather it induces muscle fiber remodeling from fast-twitch to slow-twitch. Slow-twitch are needed for endurance. I am also interested in your question. I only started running two years ago. I borrowed my endurance from years of long-distance cycling, and love running long-distances, but unlike you I can't yet sprint in the same way I do in cycling. So in the meantime I just run slow, and do my HIIT sessions on the bike another day.
I so absolutely adore you Dr Huberman, in a good sense, you could be my son. We think so similarly. 😊 from the love you have for your dog Costello ( I have my dog whom I love so much) to your like of butter and so many other things, hahahaha I am glad I can relate to a person so brilliant and special. Thanks for all your lessons. If you have a trip plan to Chicago I will be first in line.
Dr would you ever do a subscriber Q&A? I currently live in a place with no sunrises at all. It sounds crazy but it’s true. We are located in a valley that gets thick fog from 0700-1000, and I have yet to see the sun actually rise in the months we’ve lived here. How would you address this?
Request: Dr. Huberman, would you please do a talk dedicated to technology addiction: smart phone use, video gaming... addiction, obsession, dependency. How to help someone you close to you?
These Q&A are phenomenal! Question, what are the consequences of teaching someone to use right hand, if they are born left handed? Like teaching the baby, who shows left handed signs, to use the right hand.
Dr. Huberman, I know you're Jewish, so have you ever done any research on how the teachings of Orthodox Judaism affect these systems? Particularly, something that came to mind was when you got around the 46:00 mark, you talked about doing hard things out of love, the grief process, etc. I'm converting to Orthodox Judaism, and as I study it, I find it pairs very well with what I've been learning from you in other episodes, my economics background, psychology.
Andrew, I BEG YOU to make an episode on ASTHMA / Allergy-related Asthma. A study reveals that Asthma is as heavy on the immune system as Diabetes. I struggle with catching a flu many many times a year and can't ever get back in athletic performance due to too much time off from working out. Many people are struggling with this and it's only getting worse as the air is more and more polluted and contaminated etc.
Easily the best human science 'podcaster' by a mile. I was watching the fear and trauma video and this popped up. Great.
Thank you for your comment, I will be looking into the fear and trauma podcast for sure
Best 'AI' science podcaster is Lex Friedman
Agreed 💯
Agreed
Props to my internet dad on this podcasts👍
Every time Andrew Huberman says, "Thank you for your interest in science," during one of these live sessions, my eyes tear up. This man is so vital.
I'm forever grateful to you and the parents that raised you ❤️
What a top tier man. Go easy on yourself Andrew, you're worth a lot to humanity 😀👍
Well said

Love these Q&A Video's! Thank you for sharing Sir.
Awesome. Thank you! 75yrs old Veteran with memory problems.
Dear Dr. Huberman,
It resonated (beyond reproach) as you described the ‘inner turmoil’ one goes through in utter silence during certain ‘Social/Work Interactions’…..My father was a violent man & if we cried or made a noise (In any situation) there would be hell to pay….I realized Today? Even in my 50’s? I am still that way….Your words rang so true….You are both a ‘Scientist’ as well as a ‘Observer Of The Soul’…..
I Love All of your Podcasts ‘Dr. Huberman’ however? These ‘Q & A’s are INCREDIBLE🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Again, thank you for this offering. I love "lectures". But these are also very educational. I love this format.
I’m a big fan of you Sir Huberman. Lots of love from Australia.
I wish there where more human beings like you, Andrew. What a great contribution to society you are. Blessings always 🕊

You definitely motivated me to stop lying to my housemates
I'm slowly becoming a man of character, living in honesty.
Would love to see a podcast on cannabis similar to the excellent recent one on alcohol.
Awesome to see you in Oregon
I personally benefited a lot from your podcasts, very informative and structured. Thank you!

This podcast is a gift to humanity. Thank you, Sir!
I follow this professor because he's not an arrogant ass!

Man I recently moved to Portland about two months and didn’t know he was here. I hope he comes back soon
I just wanna know where he buys that black shirt…. It’s so hard to find a decent black shirt. Dammit
Thank you
Huberman continuely renders me speech less
Both Michael Pollan and James Nestor have written that hyperventilation is quite dangerous and bad for the heart?
Dr would you ever do a subscriber Q&A?

Why are adrenaline spikes healthy only if self-induced? Many traditions induce involuntary "shocks" through shouting or hitting with a stick.
Come and visit us in Melbourne, Australia.
