On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

That was great. A very intense situation. I think close to reality too. The SAM systems on both sides have nearly neutralized any claims of air superiority.
S400 pretty much wins here, ukes s300 can't even launch at all the targets if they come within range due to the need to launch on cruise missiles.
Kinda, Russian MiG-31s and Su-27s/30s/35s with modern BVR missiles have effectively destroyed Ukrainian air assets, but Russia can't mount much of a ground strike force because of SHORAD/SAMs either.

@@Max_Da_G And yet, with that strategy, there will nothing left for which they started the conflict in the first place. The people who would have sown the grain and harvested it will be gone. Either dead, unwilling or in some other country. Where the Russians could have had a tremendously valuable ally, (pre-Crimea), they will end up with an empty landscape of ruined potential. A victory that it will take a century to recover from.
That was some Hollywood type missile dodging right there. Reminds me of Stealth and Behind Enemy Lines.

My concern with the real life scenario is the level of experience the Ukrainian pilots will have with the F-16. GS knows tricks upon tricks when it comes to the plane and used them all to stay alive for as long as he did. For Ukrainian pilots, the F-16 is a completely different plane philosophically compared to the Soviet and Russian planes their used to flying.
su57 is virtually non-existent no worries
If NATO decides to cross the rubicon and supply non-Soviet aircraft, don't bet against them also engineering a supply of "contractors" to fly them for that very reason.

As Goose would say, “You did some of that pilot shi” dodging that missile over that ridgeline.
This was awesome drama! I was thinking it would be hard for you to outrun those Felons. The Su-57, as modelled in DCS, is a kinetic beast. I don't think anything else has quite the same thrust. I remember in one of your videos it was adversary, I think you were in an F-18, and it went vertical at the merge, accelerated through supersonic going straight up, then flipped over and used the vertical separation to position itself for a shot at a nearly-stalled out Hornet who just couldn't follow. Ah yes, the Su-57, all seven (7) production models delivered so far
what if there's a defect, how to do revisions if they hastily mass produce them?
10 akshually
@@sety5591 That was one of the causes of delays for the F-35 program, since many early production models were made before the design was mature, and the need to modify the production line and already-made airframes led to significant delays and cost overruns. However, now that the design is basically mature, the F-35 is being produced and delivered at a rate of more than a dozen every month, literally more than the annual Su-57 production rate every single week.
If Sukhoi were capable of delivering more airframes after so many years and billions of roubles in development costs they would be without question. There's no explanation for the situation as it is but corruption, or incapability, or more likely both.
10-11 actually, according to Sukhoi/UAC the last 3 were delivered in December. Not that it makes any difference though.
The ultimate goal for the Russians is to have sixty-seven.
That one hitting the ridge... I'd be shat up to my epaulettes. And the other dogde was just perfect
Apparently, the Russians just sit on their side of the border slinging R37s across the border from long range. Given Ukraine's terrain, I'm really not sure giving them jets is going to do much. You'd have to give them the capability to enter Russian air space which I don't see happening.

I am thinking that the Russians would more likely try to catch them with just MIG-31s from long range, possibly from inside Russian proper or Donbas claimed, never even engaging their operational Felons. And, with a much flatter terrain than the one of this DCS scenario video, it would work better for them.
Imagine a fight like this but without mountains... Sad prospective. I believe our pilots will be tought well enough to avoid such situations and, moreover, absolutely obliterate these pigs. But we need to get these babies first 😁
