Something I'm noticing is that in these sims you still seem to be using older version of the AMRAAM missile based on the ranges you talk about. Current AIM-120D models are believed to have a range of nearly 100 miles; hypothetically you should me smacking these aircraft before they have any chance of seeing you (even visually).
HATE IT when that happens!! Heard that the missile that blew was a Fartcher, not Archer (Sukhoi wasn't watching and ordered Fartchers off Ebay... you know, like Doracell or Ponasonic).
So it seems like the archer has an issue with collision mapping in this version that causes them to detonate on the rail if fired during certain maneuvers. Likely it’s switching modes early, on ignition instead of after launch, so it treats the rail it’s launched off of as if it has fired then hit it.

I like the trasition from the BVR fight to the Dogfight.
Why did the Archer explode anyways? 🤔 Because of overG or what?
10:08 that's one of the best (or luckiest) missile defense maneuvers I've ever seen! 😮
Think that should count as a draw.
So it seems like the archer has an issue with collision mapping in this version that causes them to detonate on the rail if fired during certain maneuvers. Likely it’s switching modes early, on ignition instead of after launch, so it treats the rail it’s launched off of as if it has fired then hit it.
