IS-4 has amazing armor, especially while sidescraping, on the other hand it is not the fastest, but still not slowest, overall it is great tank for people who like good armored heavy tanks
They should make the armor profile as in Wot B
Where it has 160 mm of frontal armor and 140 mm sides
@@LordOfChaos.x IS-4 in WoTB also has 160mm, but only the Lower side whwre the tracks are but theres a catch on it where it has a strip of 50mm bit angled armor so do be careful with it. As for what you said having 140mm, that one is the upper side.

Its around 280-290 mm in wot B where its 250-260 in wot PC
Also u get equip the 4% more armor module and make it impenetrable for standard shells that are not TD shells

I have always loved it. Even before it got buffed.
As a lover of side scrapping, I imagine that I would love the IS-4
the side armor is nice but its front mounted turret wont make it as efficient as middle or rear mounted turret side scrapers
I blocked 14k damage in mine once while side scraping, it got buffed on wot console recently. Took them forever to give us the PC buffs but they gave it an extra 10mm on the upper plate.
QB ignoring the fact that south spawn mines has the disadvantage for getting hill. Anyone who plays comp or plays at a certain level knows south loses hill.
South sucks altogether on Mines; I try to storm island, putting pressure on Red rear - even better if they ignore and can take hill from behind.
My favorite part of the IS-4 is when Mrs. Quicky puts the stock gun and full HE on it for you, QB... Happy Wife, Happy Life! (Still one of the best twitch clips ever!)

I've played wot for a solid 7 or 8 years now I've watched quacky since he was basically playing in a library also nostalgia of the comet intro (8 years I think) and I still love him and his vids the same

I think you had a bit of a tunnel vision in the first game, you could have taken out the arty when you first spotted him and could have gained more control on that flank which would have allowed you to play more defensively and also help maus because he had so many hitpoints.

is4 is my most played heavy, i really can play it well, it has one specific angle where its not pennable with AP and standard apcr and i can almost everytime manage to angle it like that in fights
A slightly hill where u can hide your lower plate
Angle your tank and use the gun depression and nobody pens u even with gold
Is-4 is best in city maps where it can sidescrape, hiding frontal plate
The turret is just a bonus cause it doesn't have gun depression

This was actually my first Tier 10, and I absolutely love it, no matter how mediocre it may be, even with the recent buffs
I love my IS4. Strong gun and armor, decent speed. Always had very good games with it. My first T10 I believe. After the buff even better. I always have good games in it and bounce a lot of shots. It's like the perfect average tank.

hi QB still very new to wot been playing it for about 10 months and a week ago I got my first tier 10 tank the IS 7. I would really appreciate if maybe you could do a video on it because it would be nice to see a very good player use it and maybe I can get some tips.
No, I am not going to contest the hill on mines with my Rhm Pzw against the enemy CS-63 and TVP. I rather have a good game and lose than die instantly and lose.

I really enjoyed the grind through the IS-3, and the T-10 (imo) is the best t9 Russian heavy.
I wish you could make more updated guide videos about the older tech tree 7- 10 tier tanks , since many customizable features have been added .

I hate mines because everytime if i get the best side to the hill the northern spawn. 90% of the time my team members in their mediums or lights completely ignores the hill and throw away the gamw within 5 minutes.

I enjoy watching other people playing this game much more than actually playing it myself. I like Tanks, and heavy machinery in general. Thanks to my dad, he served in the army and I visited him in his barracks rather often, I coud inspect Tanks rather close, but o' boi, I suck at this game.

Cmon quicky, you cant complain about having to dip into your premium rounds when you carry that many.
There should be a maximum allowable number of gold rounds as a percentage of total carrying capacity.

Ohhh, the days before physiks, i remember... when the Maus was an actual tank and one of the (a bit out of the box strategies) to deal with it was to lock it in place with 4 throwaway light tanks (even tier1 worked) and the bombard it with arty... those where... well, not *the* day, but certaily days^^
The Problem I have with the IS-4 is it has too little DPM. I'd like to see it have 200-300dpm more, equal to the OBJ. 277 or WZ-111 5A, I think it could become the Starter Heavy Line. It's the Jack of all Trades of the Heavys, but that also means it's Master of None. Sad to see but thats how it is.

Super heavy spall liner + vertical stabs + gun rammer = no crew members die, ignore arty, and can use premium consumables instead of med kit

Very nice tank skin. I hope that Wargaming can fully transition from pay-to-win and excessive grind to selling cosmetics. It works for League of Legends and DOTA2, and I think the model is adequate for World of Tanks as well. Pimped-up visual on your player stats page, custom garage that people can visit, an expansion of dog tags idea with 3d animations.. there are a lot of ideas to explore or import from other games that do well with cosmetics.

Did they buff the armor after the revamp substantially? I still remember its humongous paper driver's hatch in the front, one of the main reasons why it sucks as a tier10 HT.
And LOL at that 277, using the hidden ruski skill, Last Stand.
They changed half of the turret's autopen 30mm armor to 52mm and the driver's hatch is 240mm. But I don't think that has been a weakspot in years.

I absolutely enjoy the armor pn IS-4, the only thing i wish it had more of, is the gun depression. Going from a wonderful ST-I to IS-4 really makes me miss that gun depression. Oh and accuracy, well, ST-I is worse, and a bunch of my fully aimed shots still miss lol
I have just acquired this tank, so it was good to see this video and look forward to playing it albeit with an unskilled crew.

When my Is4 was a tier 9 I would drive it into combat backwards and WIN.
That's how I am with the t-34 Chinese tank destroyer. It'll be accurate one day then have days when shots go places you'll wonder how thats possible

Yeah, with how much I bully Mauses in my T-100 light tank I didn't have much faith in that Maus.
90 percent of the time in T34 at tier9 if Is-4 face hugged me,I would put shots through his top of the turret T34 is taller than IS4 so had zero problems doing that and if I saw T34 hulldown long distance I just F'ed off, close range shot his roof of the turret it was 50/50 pen due IS 4 bad accuracy and IS4 had 130mm so no trouble over matching the roof.
Is4 should have a bit more penetration on AP. Is super heavy tank so why not? The ammo is kinda low too

QB talking about how IS4 is good in brawling ignoring fact that he is spamming gold at e5 while receaving AP shots. One gold shell in upper plate from e5 and the brawl would end, but luckily WG decided to give super grind boost with schemes , personal reserves etc. to red players so they can have X tier too. I think they even don't know what to do with that X tier in battle, but as far as they are in enemy team its good.

I have always said this, it really doesn't matter what armour you have as the majority of players use only Premium rounds now. WG possibly need to make them limited, by this maybe max of 5 allowed in tank. Or maybe 10.

IS-4 is till my favorite t10 tank. Also that 1st game was a real lucky ace didnt expect that. But the 2nd game was a nice average game where you can used all its strengths. Gg wp ty for the content QB

I had absymal games today. No matter how well I played, 27% WR. steamrolled by the MM. I had to stop playing after 11 games because the gameplay experience was so bad. I was playing well...but my teams were so bad and imbalanced it was unplayable. This isn't the only day games have been this way and its really dismaying.
Is the IS-4 the only high tier tank with thicker side armour than frontal armour?

Every time I think about giving WoT another go I watch a video and the amount of Gold fired and remember how much that triggered me and I decide to get my WoT fix by watching QB and Jingles (when he does one)!

problem i had with my IS-4 is that the ST-1 before it was nerfed was just better in every way ( and yes the remodel was a total nerf )
I love is4. It is first tank that actually feels like heavily armored for me. It bounce over 5800dmg yesterday. Hull is Kinda easy target to Hi pen guns but i don't hate this tank for that. Yeah sometimes is4 just Artied, wolf packed and die. But still....
The is4 is the only tank in the game that I carry a full gold Loadout on only having 30 rounds limits you so much you cannot afford to carry any high explosive any standard because of rng. I have ran out of rounds so many times in this tank
That Maus represents majority of my gameplay where idiots do not know how to move their tank , with arty nerfs i bet majority of these scumbags are arty mains who really dont like to use the keyboard.
I got called an aimbot after learning from these videos what a little blind firing can do for you. Dude shot me like 15 times from the same spot then got mad I was shooting him while he wasn’t spotted lol.
Bloody is4's hit my tanks almost 500+ dmg all times last two weeks. Dont blame the Maus driver, nothing she/he can do against slick profile fake light tank.
I feel the IS-4 gun outperforms its accuracy numbers. The armor is great and the HEAT pen is great. Good tank.

IS-4 definitely not a close quarter “ambush” tank…its all about how you make use of its armour profile..Angle it properly..it can absorb anything

The biggest problem I have with the IS4 is a lot of times I can't get to tank perform stop playing for little while late being a tune when I play it something to watch my back I went to smaller tanks later tanks and you know I'm getting me your pins you know states like the t-57 and a lot better than the IS4 which my viewing range and the t-57 is 945 range
You can see the IS 7 doesn't really enjoy this. I bet they didn't.
