Once the T29 gets nerfed the IS will be the ultimate T7 tech tree pubstomper HT as well. Well for good players who know how to handle the gun and mediocre armor.
A likely reason for the lower winrate on IS could be due to removing KV-85 and the upgraded 85mm that came with it, now you get a stock T7 HT with a tier 5 gun...
@@finn1647 For a purely 1v1 comparison, I do agree. T29's better at hull-down situations or even close quarters bear-hugging. At long range, its gun is also better with higher pen and decent enough accuracy. For fights along corners though, IS is likely to win with its high alpha dmg.

6:13 Nah, teammates not using the intel given to them, not reacting appropriately with the situation and not heeding calls resulted in that catastrophe... Don't sweat it my bru.
Man, those "heavy" shells dropping to the bottom of the aim circle. The most frustrating thing. Genuinely surprised the IS is the worst heavy winrate wise. I found the Black Prince to be an absolute slog by comparison. Felt like it has worse armour, the gun hitting for so little felt like you couldn't pressure people or scare them. and it's a massive box.
Note that there's 6 copies of the IS at that tier (IS, KV-122, IS-2M, IS-2 Shielded, IS-2, and Chinese IS-2) but only the IS has the bad winrate. The only reason I see for that is how many new players play it on their way to the IS-7 as that's historically the first branch new players are told to go down.
I actually understand it. First, the IS is in maybe THE number one new player line towards the IS-7, so many people naturally really suck when first playing it. Secondly - it requires a major adjustment in playstyle from the previous tanks. When I first played the IS, I actually hated it because it felt like the armor was nonexistent compared to the KV's. Third - its top gun works very, very poorly when coupled with low level crews because the base accuracy is so horrible. Put all of those things together and you get a low winrate tank. With the Black Prince I feel that since all the previous tanks suffer from the same issues people aren't that surprised when they find it lacking. Plus - the BP is in a line that is not all that popular with really new players, so naturally it doesn't get the same kind of winrate penalty. Also I feel like being really slow is somewhat of a positive for new players, because it robs them of the option to blindly suicide (at least most of the time).
@@lebastion7812 it depends on the situation. Most heavies are brawling with hard cover, so the slower firing higher alpha IS gun is better because you only expose yourself to fire, and thus are at less risk of taking shots than you are in something like the BP. The BP's gun suits using camo and distance, and positioning, to outplay opponents, and the tank is too slow to make good use of it. Its why the Comet is a great tank in comparison.
The only reason why IS has a low winrate is because all 50wn8 newbies grind the IS7 first. Personally I played the IS with the 100mm gun, it is amazing. Better dpm, gun handling, prem pen and perma tracking becomes available.
i would say that 122mm was better like few years back. problem with 122mm is that when you are fighting alone then your life will be very short. 100mm can fight for itself. and in todays melting teams you need to be the one carrying the game 75% of the time due to incompetent players in your team who just rush into enemy guns
2 years im reply this yes, IS sucks but the gun damage with a good game is worth it and you will not able to earn credits using the IS as i played this tank before
I also think the IS has a bad win ratio due to people using the 122mm so often; the 100 mm is so underrated, that accuracy, aim time, it is so much more flexible than the 122 mm
I personally think that if T-43 canon have some penetration buff (standard ammo) it could be much more better tank. His mobility and turret travel speed is good too. I like it but that penetration is horrible...
5:45 classic QB play. He shoots the hellcat, he gets immediately spotted and starts driving forward saying "hopefully they won't spot me" just to get shot to death seconds later. Instead of going back or into the dip to have a high chance of winning the game out. Skill issue I guess
Skill issue yea : Meanwhile his top tier heavies casually giving their side and pushing on the worst place in prokhorovka for them.... And guees what happened?
I remember the Ikv90 stock and it was rough but the lil guy really grew on me over time, ended up really enjoying it by the time I upgraded to the next tank
@@apache64delta T29 with the guns you get on the E2 and E8, Brit heavies, the T8 or T9 med that goes to the K-91 are terrible stock too. also forgot one thank that was so horrible the memories are blocked.

The thing about the IS is that you don't have access to the big gun when you first buy it, and most of us don't have 150k free experience. I get frustrated that wargaming keep putting absolute 💩 guns on tier 7 tanks to start with when they know damn good and well that t7 tanks go up against t9 a lot. and it's kinda hard to grind that first 20-40k xp with a tier 6 gun. Sorry but that's the truth and we all know it.
The Achilles actually has the same 17 pdr as the Sherman Firefly, the other Tier 6 British medium aside from the Cromwell. Hence it's damage roll is really low.
When starting a KV-1 was scary for a T3 tank. Then when I got a KV-1, I faced an IS. Same thing. Now IS mostly meets 8's and 9's and it's like a big medium, without enough mobility. Or armor.
Regarding the T-43, I think the issue is that it's just basically the T-43-85 with some more armor and health. You have the same top gun, which ain't bad at tier 6, but at tier 7 it feels like you're shooting nerf darts against tier 8's and god help you if you're going against tier 9s. Plus, in order to get the top gun on the T-43, you have to get both the tracks and the turret. If you have a lot of free xp it's not bad, but if you're newer and don't have the free xp, you have to play a weaker tank at a higher tier. I'm still pretty new to WOT and I finished up the T-43 and T-43-85 a couple weeks ago and it was a surprise shift for me in terms of play style. I had to play the T-43 much more passively, even after it was fully upgraded, because the gun, health, and armor just didn't feel competitive at the tier. So tldr, I think the issue with the T-43 are: even when fully upgraded you're still pretty much playing a T-43-85 but at a higher tier, facing higher opponents; Before it's fully upgraded, you're playing an arguably worse version of the T-43-85; and, with how under powered the T-43 is initially, it forces you to play differently than you did in the T-43-85, which may take longer for some players to realize based on their skill levels.
A suggestion for future videos, why not do your most favourite / least favourite Tier 4-10 tanks and explain why they are your favourites or how you deal with your least favourites to make them bearable.
I like the Prokhorovka map but it's really back when the team goes into the top left corner or bottom left corner camping. Teams really should be spreading out and pushing forward.
I actually enjoyed my time with the T71 CMCD, I feel like it's a better tank tier-for-tier than the M41 Bulldog at tier 8 because the M41 is just a bigger/fatter version of the CMCD.
The bulldog is just sad nowadays, has been since WG removed the autoloader. Silly thing is, they left the T71 DA with an almost as good autoloader at T7.
i LOVE that bush line from the t71 with my elc. its always fun there, and interesting if you have opponent lihgts aswell. Always provides some action on that map, love it^^
14:37 its because that Achilles is using the "stock" 17 pounder, the SH SH version, that thing have the premium AP that is essentially the standard round of the "top" 17 pounder.
It still has 150 alpha dmg and, maybe it could roll for 110, but I think he's using the completely stock gun- the American 3-inch M7, which in the variant on the Achilles also has premium AP that only increases the pen from like 102 to 117 if I remember correctly
I assume the german heavy line leading to the FAMOUS Tiger 1 is kinda the same, all the new « not good yet » players wanting the tank. That would explain the vk’s camping at the back of the map with the TD’s in pretty much all my tier 6 and below games…
There’s usually one on each time. Technically QB is one but doesn’t always play like it at the end of games… which is usually where unicums do the most work
Great Video QB. As from the first day I have the IS I'm lowtier. Mostly -2. Best moment: I'm surrounded by 3 Even90 (platoon) after 3min or so. So QB had a extremly lucky MM with the IS in my opinion. But I will try the 122mm next time.
Regarding the T71 and scouting the one line on Prok. I play lights every day. I stopped scouting the 1 line because its a death trap. You've got a bunch of camping TD's, Meds, and even Heavies behind you screaming for you to move up and spot carelessly in chat. Screw that. I spot the mid. From mid I can still spot guys on the 1 line, and all the way to the 0 line. Also I get tons of spots on the heavies that play mid, and arty eats them alive. I also struggled with T71. But have 2500+ WN8 in the T71DA and other T7 lights like Type 62, Amx 1375.
T71 CMCD is such an underrated light. Not only has it one of the highest tier 7 DPMs. But put grousers and a turbo on it and slap on smooth ride on your driver with a combat course directive, and it will outmaneuver just about anything with 86.60 degrees per second traverse speed.
@@Balc0ra Gotcha, with my 100% meme build you have to sacrefice pretty much every other aspetcs of the tank so its actually not even worth it, but damn fun
I think the reason the IS does so poorly is because a lot of new players play it without a good crew, i love the IS its one of my favorite tanks because its so reliable and it can even trade with higher tier heavies which is what makes it so comfortable to play for me at least
Awesome video QB! Very entertaining and Informative always enjoy watching your knowledge and skills at work live on YT since i don't have/use twitch love videos like these keep up the epicness!
The IS tanks are my favorite tier 7 heavies in NA (Tech Tree & Premium Variants). Great for completing marathons and general grinds. Just use the 122mm in the tech tree tank and blow 💩 up! 👍
Something really odd I noticed about the first 2 games: both teams lemming trained the side you went to. Do you not use the anonymizer when you play on RUclips?
I was able to 3 mark the T71 cmcd on console, I loved it because of how agile it was, I could compare it to a wheel tank, almost on the dot turning so it made getting hit a lot harder, and yea the gun is a little underperforming but if you play like a real scout and start a clean up crew towards the end game I don’t doubt you’ll get great games and results with it
I last played back in 2017, then a few games here and there from 2020-now. When I first unlocked the T-43 I grinded it to fully upgrade it. I loved playing the T-43, It is the first tank I got my 1st and 2nd Marks of Excellence on. I dunno how good it is now as I rarely play but back then I loved it!
don't know if it's still true, but the IKV is meant to stay behind hills, what with the gun way up on the top, but the autolock spot for your opponents is dead center of the top superstructure :/. It means anyone can autolock you and no matter how carefully you use cover, they can hit you. I had fun with it and liked it other than those snapshots at long distance that lasered me just peeking over the ridgeline.
It has been ages since I touched the T-34-85 (!M), and it struggles with aiming, if memory serves me correctly. That the T-43 doesnt have increased pen and its one tier higher, I wouldnt want to play T7.
That first game seems to be a good synopsis of how my entire night went last night. Still better than I used to play, but there's a ton of room for improvement.
stuck in t43 for like 4 months, since I'm playing only couple hours a week, when watching the video I practically guessed it at the beginning of the video
First game you should have seen that at most they had 3 tanks over there while you had about 10 the enemies team was completely spotted besides 2 tanks I think
I really think the IS is doing badly because people get themselves killed easily. It's really easy to run it into danger and it can't fight itself out. I always did well in it.
the feeling when the udes 03 is the only swedish TD i cant get too work, i love all the strv's (103-B,103-O,S1) and the ikv is one of the 4 tanks i have ace on XD
udes 03 is my best defensive clutch tank like i swear if their team lost their light tank then theres not fucking way they can out spot you in a bush even when you fired so you can shoot them for 400 damage and scare the shit out of them because you are unspotted but they are, you can reload and have another punch ready. The best map for me when playing that thank is Studzianki on the hill side
IS is all about the gun and the agility, the armor overall is quite poor for a heavy, both turret and hull, so it can't be played like a tanking heavy, which is probably why the WR is poor on it. And the fact that the IS-7 line is by far the most popular tank line to play first when new players start.
The IS is my most played tank and not because I like it, but because it's my most grindiest tank I ever had. The win rate of that thing is appalling and I have to grind for a tiny amount of xp just to move up to the next tier. I did learn how to use its advantage and when it shows, you're golden. The thing I hate the most is the reload time of the 122mm. The 100 is just perfect for it.
The most “grindy” tank you’ve ever had? Isn’t the point of the game to grind in every tank? The win rate is appalling? That means nothing, there’s lots of good tanks with shit win rates
The problem with T-43 is that it is basically just a marginal improvement over T-34-85 and in aspects that do not matter. You get better hull and side and armour, but they are still worthless against you opposition at higher tier. You get better DPM, but only by about 200. You get better gun handling on the move and traverse, but it is inconsequential, considering mediocre mobility. On top of that - T-43 is extremely crammed inside, and eats critical damage like candy. Case and point - a premium T-34-85M is a better tank in all aspects that matter, and on lower tier - it gets even better DPM, still comparable mobility, more ammor, better aim time, same frontal armour thickness but better angle. T-43 would not even be spectacular on Tier 6, let alone Tier 7.
I actually love the T-43, and here's why. I was going up the Soviet medium line around the same time the T-34-85M was introduced. Even after I got through the T-34-85's awful stock grind, the fully-upgraded tank (minus fancy equipment and a well-trained crew, because I'm mostly free to play) was still really frustrating to play. It had a poor gun handling and a reload time on the long side for a tier 6 medium; it was just completely outclassed by all the T-34-85Ms that had just been injected into the matchmaker. So when I unlocked the T-43, I was pleasantly surprised; it used the same top gun from the 34-85 but with a much better stats. Compared to its predecessor, the T-43 was a very straightforward grind and overall such a breath of fresh air; not an outstanding tank by any means, but perfectly competent in the support role. I'm disappointed so few people play it, but I guess that means more for me!
Bruh. The T-34-85 is my all time favourite tank, and also my most played one. The T-43 was not bad at all imo, but I would agree it would be better if it had a better gun, like that long 85mm gun the LTTB has
The IS, which in real life is an IS-122 or IS-2 model 1943 with the 122mm D-25T cannon, is my favorite tank at level 7...I played it both with the 100mm cannon and with the 122 Balalaika cannon I think the 122mm cannon is better, especially for trading, and I also like the high alpha damage! The armor is relatively trolley and is very forgiving of mistakes. What the tank can do very well is reverse sidescraping, which works very well, even against higher MM levels. The 122mm cannon is more accurate than you might think, pixel shots are fine with it. The mobility is really not bad with a turbo....successfully traded a few months ago and a stable 55% win rate! A very underrated tank that can also perform well in low tier matches. I've already taken one or two BZ-176s apart with the IS, and I've also done that with the KV-2 (r)...just through the turret roof xexe )) Great Tank, i love it❤ I play the IS with Experimental tubo, bond gun rammer and target guidance and I had very positive experiences! 👍🏼
Weirdly enough i actually really enjoyed the below average t71 Cmcd on my grind for the t49. I played it mostly as a support light and scouted whenever possible. Managed to get top 5 ranked in dpg and wr and 2 marks in just about 40 games xD.
The IKV90B is actually good though. You just can't carry with it at all. Well, you can't really carry with that whole line at all, which is why the whole line has a low WR. It has really good camo, so you have to rely on that. It's way better than the tier 6 is.
18:00 A LOT OF PEOPLE will want to have enough free xp to skip this trash, because let's be honest here, that 85mm gun works very well when playing t-34-85, but not so much on t-43, considering you're more often to see t9 tanks and that 144mm of pen won't do much. I don't really get it, why wg just not increase pen on this thing like they did it for kv1s. I personally never played t-43, because the problem with this tech tree line is that there are 3 tanks that you are forced to play BEFORE unlocking a decent 100mm on t-44. All 3 tanks (t34-85, t-43 and t-44 have 85mm as stock). Just...no way I wanted to play with the same gun 3 times in a row. Pathetic...
Tier 7 tech tree IS has low win rate because when you just unlocked IS and you buy it, it has only one gun open, the 85mm gun with 120mm of penetration, while the chinese tier 7 tech tree IS-2, starts with the 100m gun that has 175mm of penetration Wargaming needs to adjust the stock IS a bit, to start with the 85mm gun that has 144mm+ pen, but i guess is not a priority atm
Hey QB, i just started playing world of tanks PC after 8 years of World of tanks blitz and I find adjusting to the new crew mechanics difficult. @@mantazaszaidzia4076 How to level crew skills effectively? i personally like to use the 100mm gun on the IS, specially when facing higher tier tanks... but as QB said, it needs a lot of gold rounds... the rest of the tanks, i prefer to skip them all...
Im only a few days off from being able to play this tank ( omw to the Obj 705 A ) and i think it is not bad, and ppl just play it like a traditional heavy tank ( ex. T29 ) and it is supposed to be a SUPPORT tank which has a good gun, and not the greatest armor, so you peek when the enemies are looking at another tank. Looks like a great gun, and better mobility than the KV 3
The IS is still amazing IMO. although the T29 is great, it’s a little too great and doesn’t feel like a challenge to play, and with the nerfs coming it just seems a little clunky and dull. Plus - the BP is in a line that is not all that popular with really new players, so naturally it doesn't get the same kind of winrate penalty. Also I feel like being really slow is somewhat of a positive for new players, because it robs them of the option to blindly suicide (at least most of the time).
The black prince is a side scraping legend
Heavy disagree with Armour and as for pressure I think the fast and accurate gun is good enough for that
@@lebastion7812 it depends on the situation.
The IS also has more gun depression with the 100mm. It's why I used it.
It’s a shame the T-43 doesn’t have a better gun imo.
Even just the D10-T 100mm gun would definitely add some flavour to what could be a very fun tank
I stoped at T-43 bcuz of the bad gun.
funny thing is that the T-43 had the 100mm gun back in the days but they removed it from the tank
@@some_eevee And that's where the problem started, clearly
T43 is not fun that's for sure
I found I could stay alive longer with the plentiful HP’s of the T43. Yes it’s gun was disappointing.
I'm guessing that Tiger had HE loaded because he expected to shoot a light tank in that bush and instead you were there in your medium tank.
The only reason why IS has a low winrate is because all 50wn8 newbies grind the IS7 first.
Personally I played the IS with the 100mm gun, it is amazing. Better dpm, gun handling, prem pen and perma tracking becomes available.
100 mm is underrated.
Oh and don't forget the 1 extra gun depression, it has 7 with the 100mm
i would say that 122mm was better like few years back. problem with 122mm is that when you are fighting alone then your life will be very short.
Yeah more competetitive with 100mm but more fun with 122 and when u equipped with right stuf ı think 122 is really okay too
@@yetkinyesil9064 competetitve lmao
I personally think that if T-43 canon have some penetration buff (standard ammo) it could be much more better tank. His mobility and turret travel speed is good too. I like it but that penetration is horrible...
Yeah, it really shouldn't have the same gun as the tier 6. Really holds the tank back when it faces tier 8 and 9
5:45 classic QB play. He shoots the hellcat, he gets immediately spotted and starts driving forward saying "hopefully they won't spot me" just to get shot to death seconds later. Instead of going back or into the dip to have a high chance of winning the game out. Skill issue I guess
Skill issue yea :
Meanwhile his top tier heavies casually giving their side and pushing on the worst place in prokhorovka for them....
And guees what happened?
I was like WTF is he doing. I think he gets bored and yolos senselessly...
Yes that play was afwul. It is crazy to think a player with that much experience.. proceeds to shoot at that moment

Lol same I like the 90 ….. way better then the tier 6

@@tuxedoederminenaswall3751 I'VE FOUND ANOTHER AFTER ALL THIS TIME
The thing about the IS is that you don't have access to the big gun when you first buy it, and most of us don't have 150k free experience.
The CMDC ? That surprised me, that is a descend light tank, the biggest drawback is the cupola which always sticks out
Descend?
I was so sure that the tank in the thumbnail was the kv-122, the only reason I can see for the IS doing worse is people playing it stock
The KV-122 has the Hull of the KV-1S
When starting a KV-1 was scary for a T3 tank. Then when I got a KV-1, I faced an IS. Same thing. Now IS mostly meets 8's and 9's and it's like a big medium, without enough mobility. Or armor.
I completely agree with the IS, my dad use to tell me i was bad at the game, but its just such a poorly armoured tank
So tldr, I think the issue with the T-43 are:
even when fully upgraded you're still pretty much playing a T-43-85 but at a higher tier, facing higher opponents;
Before it's fully upgraded, you're playing an arguably worse version of the T-43-85;
and, with how under powered the T-43 is initially, it forces you to play differently than you did in the T-43-85, which may take longer for some players to realize based on their skill levels.
A suggestion for future videos, why not do your most favourite / least favourite Tier 4-10 tanks and explain why they are your favourites or how you deal with your least favourites to make them bearable.
In the first game I was amazed at what the artillery was doing. Charging the enemy alone?
I like the Prokhorovka map but it's really back when the team goes into the top left corner or bottom left corner camping. Teams really should be spreading out and pushing forward.
Here's a challenge: play 5 tier 10 games and make a profit. I can make more credits playing tier 5 than tier 10. WTH WG
You should have played the bulldog when it had the autoloader.
I sold it when it got neutered by WG. Fock them.
i LOVE that bush line from the t71 with my elc. its always fun there, and interesting if you have opponent lihgts aswell. Always provides some action on that map, love it^^
You are telling me Is is bad
14:37 its because that Achilles is using the "stock" 17 pounder, the SH SH version, that thing have the premium AP that is essentially the standard round of the "top" 17 pounder.
It still has 150 alpha dmg and, maybe it could roll for 110, but I think he's using the completely stock gun- the American 3-inch M7, which in the variant on the Achilles also has premium AP that only increases the pen from like 102 to 117 if I remember correctly
@@afanofblacksabbath269 oh, i forgot that short c*** gun, that gun is the shittiest gun in tier 6, thanks for reminding me of that nightmare.
I assume the german heavy line leading to the FAMOUS Tiger 1 is kinda the same, all the new « not good yet » players wanting the tank. That would explain the vk’s camping at the back of the map with the TD’s in pretty much all my tier 6 and below games…
Those new player never knew how "IS" with 122mm is, its a great tank wayback at 2013 XD
That EBR Hotchkiss proves that 1 single unicum on a team can tip the balance… Hard to digest.
Ensk. Tiger ammo tactic: Load HE at start of game to destroy rushing lights. 2nd round standard AP.
I remember way back in 2012 with my IS in top tier match against tier V's. It's fun watching those tier V td's getting 1 shot.
T71 CMCD is such an underrated light. Not only has it one of the highest tier 7 DPMs. But put grousers and a turbo on it and slap on smooth ride on your driver with a combat course directive, and it will outmaneuver just about anything with 86.60 degrees per second traverse speed.
If you build like I have you get like 140 degrees/ sec
@@emilbroman oh I know it can go higher. But my example was more of a reachable number for most if you will.... And still damn high.
@@Balc0ra Gotcha, with my 100% meme build you have to sacrefice pretty much every other aspetcs of the tank so its actually not even worth it, but damn fun
The IS and the KV-3 are both good tanks that get dragged down by bad players.
I think the reason the IS does so poorly is because a lot of new players play it without a good crew, i love the IS its one of my favorite tanks because its so reliable and it can even trade with higher tier heavies which is what makes it so comfortable to play for me at least
Hi QB, you should play those "worst tanks" stock, with a 50% crew and no field mod, that would be interesting (well maybe not fun for you...)
Reason the IS also performs poorly is because its pretty bad when stock. I remember the grind felt like forever to fully upgrade it.
Awesome video QB! Very entertaining and Informative always enjoy watching your knowledge and skills at work live on YT since i don't have/use twitch love videos like these keep up the epicness!
Entire damn team in the west and they can't manage to kill one Hellcat spotted three times. Man, sometimes world just want you to lose :P
Thank you so much Quicky Baby, i complete forget the cruise control key: R and F
The old t71 looks so much better compared to when they split the chassis from the turret
The IS tanks are my favorite tier 7 heavies in NA (Tech Tree & Premium Variants). Great for completing marathons and general grinds. Just use the 122mm in the tech tree tank and blow 💩 up! 👍
That su-130 jump scare was pretty good ngl
Something really odd I noticed about the first 2 games: both teams lemming trained the side you went to. Do you not use the anonymizer when you play on RUclips?
The IS was one of my favorite tanks to grind I loved the 390 alpha at tier 7
But aside from the alpha damage, the gun is awful.
@@NelsonPimenta93 if you get up close and personal its not bad, if you know how to trade it can be deadly
@@unhappymeerkat3303 True. Along corners and edges, IS trades fairly well due to higher alpha.
I was able to 3 mark the T71 cmcd on console, I loved it because of how agile it was, I could compare it to a wheel tank, almost on the dot turning so it made getting hit a lot harder, and yea the gun is a little underperforming but if you play like a real scout and start a clean up crew towards the end game I don’t doubt you’ll get great games and results with it
I usually played Ikv 90 as a surprise scout with binocs and camo net, only using the gun when an opportunity presented itself.
IKEA 65 can do that and actually do it pretty good, but the 90? No.
The fact that that first team won just shows how bad the teams are lately.
The irony of this to me is that yesterday I had a MONSTER of a game in the T-71 CMCD and I am a TERRIBLE Light Tank driver.
Been a while since I played. How is the Tiger P now worse then the base Tiger? Used to be a quicker more heavily armored version pretty much.
don't know if it's still true, but the IKV is meant to stay behind hills, what with the gun way up on the top, but the autolock spot for your opponents is dead center of the top superstructure :/.
Ikv shell velocity is a nice thing to reconsider its performance
I really think the IS is doing badly because people get themselves killed easily. It's really easy to run it into danger and it can't fight itself out. I always did well in it.
Hey, QB! My service record is 47.6%, but I have a 52.33% win rate with my T-43. That's on the NA server.
The one who sat behind you was probably Jingles ... I can hear him chorteling now 'hello Quicky Baby ... I'm baaaack'.
the feeling when the udes 03 is the only swedish TD i cant get too work, i love all the strv's (103-B,103-O,S1) and the ikv is one of the 4 tanks i have ace on XD
udes 03 is my best defensive clutch tank like i swear if their team lost their light tank then theres not fucking way they can out spot you in a bush even when you fired so you can shoot them for 400 damage and scare the shit out of them because you are unspotted but they are, you can reload and have another punch ready. The best map for me when playing that thank is Studzianki on the hill side
CMCD was a fun tank but eventually I decided to sell it due to lack of camo rating, which really sucks bad for a light tank.
IS is all about the gun and the agility, the armor overall is quite poor for a heavy, both turret and hull, so it can't be played like a tanking heavy, which is probably why the WR is poor on it.
And the fact that the IS-7 line is by far the most popular tank line to play first when new players start.
Is 'the less played tier per tier' an idea?
The IS is my most played tank and not because I like it, but because it's my most grindiest tank I ever had. The win rate of that thing is appalling and I have to grind for a tiny amount of xp just to move up to the next tier.
I did learn how to use its advantage and when it shows, you're golden. The thing I hate the most is the reload time of the 122mm. The 100 is just perfect for it.
The most “grindy” tank you’ve ever had? Isn’t the point of the game to grind in every tank?
The win rate is appalling? That means nothing, there’s lots of good tanks with shit win rates
Quickybaby have you ever tried marking what tanks you play in the scrubbing bar??
wait....where are the arties? ;o/
Thanks QB. Any idea when those Italian TD's are coming out? May want to come back to play those.
I've already taken one or two BZ-176s apart with the IS, and I've also done that with the KV-2 (r)...just through the turret roof xexe )) Great Tank, i love it❤
I play the IS with Experimental tubo, bond gun rammer and target guidance and I had very positive experiences! 👍🏼
Weirdly enough i actually really enjoyed the below average t71 Cmcd on my grind for the t49. I played it mostly as a support light and scouted whenever possible. Managed to get top 5 ranked in dpg and wr and 2 marks in just about 40 games xD.
Even new players think of an IKV 90B as a XP pinata, that just how bad it is when players who dont use bush mechanic drive that vehicle.
Pathetic...
Tier 7 tech tree IS has low win rate because when you just unlocked IS and you buy it, it has only one gun open, the 85mm gun with 120mm of penetration, while the chinese tier 7 tech tree IS-2, starts with the 100m gun that has 175mm of penetration
Wargaming needs to adjust the stock IS a bit, to start with the 85mm gun that has 144mm+ pen, but i guess is not a priority atm
Thnx, gives me an idea what tank to use in tier 7. I am currently using tier 4 tanks grinding my way up.
Hey! In the 2nd battle, the two skoda t 27s killed each other!
T-43 was already a hard tank to be played back when it had 100mm gun. It was just a t-34-85 + hp... but now seeing tier 9s

When i started with the IS i hated it, the first gun is trash, the armor is meeh, but as soon you got the 100mm or the 122mm, it makes a lot of fun, when you can master this tank, its a beast. Just got my first M.O.E with it as well.
I think I have a 67% win rate in the IS. It was the second heavy line I grinder after the traditional German Tiger I line.
I don't know why I had good stats in it, I'm not the best player but we just gelled.
Played the IS to get through te tech tree and got a ace tanker in my 5th game playing it. Did 3,5k dmg and almost 1k spotting. Was very suprised to see this tank in this video
I love the IS2. Loads of fun in it. I prefer the 100mm though. Vents, rammer and spall liner.
Kill T7 Regular Heavy tanks with T5~7 Regular Tanks
T29 : If it's at hill, give up and die
Tiger 1 : shoot hull with Gold Ammo
Tiger P : shoot commander Hatch and hull shoulder(80mm)
French heavy : hit everywhere you can
Black Prince : Hit lower hull, If you are having over 160pen and BP is not angled, just Autoaim.
love when u play tier 7. Very entertaining.
i personally like to use the 100mm gun on the IS, specially when facing higher tier tanks... but as QB said, it needs a lot of gold rounds... the rest of the tanks, i prefer to skip them all...
The IS has always been incredible and so much fun: decent, trolly but not invincible armour, hard hitting but unruly gun, decent mobility.
Ikv has a poor gun. Accurate but bad standard pen and weak damage also it has no armor. Shoot full gold and hope prokurovka games.
