@@mejdzrenterprises I do mean by win rate. He would have to obviously exclude tanks with less than 10 or 20 battles. I'm sure there are some tanks in his garage that he's played more than a couple times that don't have great win rates. That would be something interesting for him to go through and explain why his win rate is low for that particular tank. Just something I thought of when he had his garage open and I saw some tanks with lower than his average win rates.
10 years ago the game did not suck. Up until (not including) ver 1.0, the game made sense. It doesn't make sense anymore after ver 1.0 was released. It's terrible.
the easy8 took a turn for the worse when the japanese heavies were introduced. until then you could make the pen work, but against the o-i it's pointless. the t-34-85m also completely outclasses the e8.
I haven't played in 4 or 5 years and went back into it recently for the "account time" rewards drop this year.... yeah the game has definitely got worse. I play World of Warships and both games have gone super far into the fantasy that they may as well not even bother with "historical" vehicles at all.
The Problem with the E8 is, that it's virtually useless in Tier 8 matches and you get Tier 8 often, very often, within it's tier its a very decend tank
E8 is actually quite good when up tiered. It has decent pen with gold rounds and it has massive DPM. It has decent mobility and most importantly, a lot of gun depression with strong view range. It allows this tank to be flexible and to handle ridge lines well. E8 can peek and DPM down other vehicles little by little. Its vert stabs also allows it to peek and take a shot without much aiming. It makes a really strong and evasive tank. I did not felt as useless as I feel when up tiered with other tanks.
your dpm is insane, u can farm a lot of damage, has a nice moility and quite good at aiming. I remember my first M class with this baby in a tier 8 matchmaking with 3k damage. this tank shouldn't be in this video. I lost my respect for quickybaby
Would be interesting to see you play stock tanks, as when grinding as a new player some of these stock tanks are terrible to play and are probably the cause of the low win rates.
Definitely. He played the "worst tier 6 tanks," but using equipment and having crews with BiA and intuition isn't really the authentic "worst tank" experience.
I've said it before, the big problem with the HE rework, other than zero damage hits, is the fact that they never improved the accuracy or buffed the alternative gun choices. (Example : E2 Sherman 76mm gets 177mm of penetration with gold rounds, but the HVAP M93 should get 239mm... Like the Firefly, Achilles, etc. 177mm is roughly what the pen should be at 1000 meters. Other tanks at the same tier or even lower get accurate, or better than real penetration Meanwhile, the Shermans get arbitrarily balanced penetration, making the alternate guns lackluster at best.) As for accuracy, "Now you have to aim" is a hip statement among certain segments of the player base, but with an aim circle that covers half of the bloody map... Well, it's a crap shoot if you will snipe a cupola, or see your shell whizz off the map and land in War Thunder...
To be fair, almost none of the T5-6 tanks get accurate pen. PzIV's had 140mm starting from the F2 (so the H should have it), the L/70 on the Panther had 198mm pen, not this weird L/100 that's exclusive to WoT, which applies to the VK 30.01H, 30.02D and 30.02M too; the 85mm on the T-34-85 had 148mm pen, Tiger's 88 had 165, so neither the T6 Tigers nor the T7 Tiger are accurate... etc etc Not to mention most guns on the tanks that actually existed aren't even accurate. Tiger 2 was never build with a 10.5, M6 never had a 90mm, IS-3 had the same gun as the IS-2, IS-1 never got the 122mm, only the Super Hellcat had a 90mm, not the "normal" one, Su-100 didn't have a 122mm (why would they even call it the Su-100 and not the Su-122 P that actually had it?), etc etc Long story short, this game isn't accurate anywhere, it doesn't even try to be, and they're not claiming it anymore these days, either. it's all just balance purposes - the T6 shermans just got forgotten and drowned in power creep, because way back with just regular T-34-85's and VK30.02M's and stuff like that, they were pretty balanced and had actual upsides. Not to mention >80% of the vehicles are made up at this point.

@@makemap yes, the pen on the easy8 is awfull but remember one word keyhand said in a stream when buffing was discussed: "buffs are critical as the buff one one tank effects all the other tanks matched up against" a wrong buff can destroy the whole game. a nerf is easier as it effects mostly if not eexclusively the nerfed tank.
@@dierare PZ 4 H should have been a tier 6. It faced off against T-34-85 and M4A3E8's. It was a later version of PZ 4. The tier 5 should have been Panzer 4 F2 or G version using the 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/43 as last gun. Accurate pen is what needs to be in this game to fix this to compete with later vehicles. Unhistorical guns can be removed any time.
I honetly can't belive Easy 8 has worst win rate of any tier VI tank. I love Easy 8, great DPM, good gun handling, 12° of gun depresion, decent speed it's tier VI Comet and I adore Easy 8 even more than Cromwell. Maybe players can't make awful pen work. But it's a great tank
I'm surprised too. I like E8 more than Jumbo Sherman but Cromwell is still most fun imo. Sure it's not super awesome but it's enjoyable and it's a definition of average mid-tier medium.
Well, Easy 8/Sherman is like Tiger 1, a popular tank with many games and movies talk about them so new players want to play it and I think that most new players don't know much about other tank weakpoint...
Seriously, I quit sometime after the French tree came in I think.. the Easy 8 was easily my favorite tank in the game, with both my best Win % (64%) and most kills in a match (12). Sad to see its fall from grace.
Funny how the game is full of tanks and their stats that are like completely made up but then WG goes "yeah so there's this little detail about the E8 that we specifically made true to real life..."
I remember back in early WoT tanks days watching a Wolfpack of easy 8s dropping t32s and other t8s just all full throttle and circle strafing..those were the days
If I'm not wrong I mean the E8 was one of the first American tanks to be fully stabilized, and the VK28.01 was a beast before 9.18 as you could 1v1 almost any tank and just dance around them shooting HE or HEAT.
I stopped playing wot like 6th months ago. I played from 1.1 If I remember correctly. The vk28 was one of my fav tanks, with the huge ramming power I outplayed a lot of tank, specially the paper type64s... Ended with 3 marks and 16.k games with 60% win ratio... And I was not even trying to play good, I was just memeing around ramming and bullyng small tanks...
I remember playing the E8 years ago and absolutely loving the voracious RoF on the gun. With a little help from your teammates, that thing could get around and just whittle down enemy hitpoints. But now with the sheer number of burst and/or DPM monsters that thing has to face, those risky plays just aren't worth it anymore
The Easy 8 was probably my joint favorite tank (tied with the E75) when I used to play. Vert stabs, vents, and gun rammer with a fully loaded crew and prem consumable made this thing feel incredible, especially with a full platoon of these with your friends
Wtf ,I can belive it ,it s one of the best tier 6 I had. I marked it after 16 Games. Great Gun depresseion Good Speed Good Amor against low tiers and same tier Accurate Gun.
I absolutely adored my VK 2801 back in the 105mm days. Before the HE changes you were even able to have great games with standard ammo alone. And the innaccurate gun, poor camo, mediocre view range and big silhouette compared to other lights didn't really hold it back because at least it had that heavy-hitting alpha. You were even able to fight well-armored heavies and thus were more like a scouty medium rather than a pure scout. The main problem with the whole package was the good pen on the premium rounds that basically turned it into a fragile KV-1S on speed. The worst part when they took the 105mm was that they didn't give the tank a new (less OP) gun that would've allowed it to perform the same role. A scout gun with good alpha, good penetration and bad DPM & accuracy would`ve made this certainly possible (something like 200 alpha, 160 pen, 1300 DPM, 0.42 accuracy, 2.5 aim time). It would've made brawling with other lights for scouting spots impossible but at least the tank would've kept some of its punch alive.
Easy8 bad? I do remember when i got it and had to fight IS-4 tank (when it was tier IX) with merely regular ammo. Perhaps that is why it feels so easy for me to play it nowadays. I never considered it might be underwhelming until WG announced they going to buff it. But i guess it's true - the competition on its tier grew and got better leaving it in the shadows and it's just me that didn't notice.
5:09 This really said something about the power creep in WOT It use to be that u r in a flexible MT so you can spot or get around and not just brute force through the HT 2 tier higher then you and call it a problem
Poor Easy8 is basically a prime example of horrid powercreep. It used to be a pretty solid medium on that tier. But at this stage, it is not only horribly outclassed by most other mediums on the same tier, it suffers due to matchmaking as well.
nah I'm playing since 2012 and I wouldn't say the tank was especially good even back then. For me it was always a rather mediocre tank, since tanks like T-34-85 and the german medium tanks were better with regards to armor, alpha dmg and penetration.
15:00 the KV1S has a really interesting history in game... It started life at tier 6 where fully upgraded it was just a KV-122 Then it was replaced with the "KV-85" which could be set up as a historical KV-85, KV-100, or KV-122. At this time the KV-1S was downtiered to tier 5. IIRC stock it was a historical KV1S but it received access to the S-41 howitzer that one prototype received IRL (which was historically suggested to put it on the IS as well) and a turret which I've never seen any historical records of. Then they brought it back up to tier 6. Not sure what they changed since I stopped playing the game but it doesn't look like they changed much
The win percentage has nothing to do with how good a player is Quicky. Many times the losses are 2 to 3 times more than wins, and even though I am normally in the top 5 of the losing team, their metric doesn’t take those stats into consideration. Hit ratio, and damage per game may be better, but if you’re grinding tech tree tanks, and not just playing the same high tier or premium tanks with macked out crews, there’s no way to truly know a players true skill.
What I find fascinating about WoT these days is this was one of the best tier 6 tanks back in the day. I find it amazing how much its been nerfed through attrition. Very sad that's what this game is like these days.
The sad reality of a "free to play" and "service based game" where the devs have to constantly change and add things to keep making money in order to keep changing things to keep new players coming into it. There was a point where WoT was in a really good state, many years ago, and really wish it had been left like that. I'm at the point were I am enjoying games that get released "done" (as much as they can be these days) and I can just play them.
More like this please 😁. You hit the nail on the head regarding less than ideal crews for new players. It’s really frustrating at lower tiers when I see players with 100k+ games spamming full gold from tier 3 up.
I love how QB playing worst tanks includes them being fully speced out with modules and gear. It also includes copious amounts of premium ammunition. I''m sorry QB, but this is not what we want to see.
Honestly this made me feel like an actually good player with my 54,5% win rate in Easy8, it's an absolute joy to play with the 2,5s machine gun, great gun depression, solid mobility, accuracy...Shame that I suck at playing any other tank :(
These videos are so much fun for me. Playing the best tanks by a very good player....outcome most of the times clear. But this is so much better and we see some tanks that we probably almost never see in replays. More of this pls. 👌
QB, thank you for this. I ended up getting a Nashorn today and have really been enjoying it. I have it set up with rammer, coated optics, and turbo. Runs great.
It was nice to hear QB sees the HE nerf patch as one of the worst - I agree, the nerfed HE was the reason I stopped playing. I used to have the most fun in the Jumbo and KV-2. Now the game is like "no fun, only tryhard, waaah"
When I started with the Sherman series you had the option of going further up with the easy 8 or the jumbo. I opted for the Jumbo and therefore never drove the easy 8. I used to drive the T40 a lot back then and loved it. I also really enjoyed driving the archer. What challenges do you have if you only ever drive the OP tanks on the respective tiers, such as the T67 or the Hetzer.
I totally agree with you on the HE changes. That update changed things for me, certain vehicles I loved to play suddenly wasn't fun at all. And it was a good counter for some tanks aswell

When I had to choose between the E8 and E2 I got the E2 cuz it had better armor and ended up with me having the first and only tank I have 3 marks, really fun tank and easy to play back then.
I remember securing my first kill against an IS-3 in the M4A3E2 using the long gun...yes, I kept plinking him in the flat plate behind the gun on top of the turret.
Play the worst tier 5s. I have been grinding the tier 5 soviet SPG to go down the tech tree, and to say i am lucky to be playing the lowest 3 mark req tank in the game and not an actual vehicle to compete effectively against the sealclubbers is an understatement
Every tank has its characteristics different. Most players just can't adapt to it or don't want to. That's why i quit playing in clans. The only play the popular tanks, but if I was playing with a different tank, they first shouted at me and then in the results most of them where behind me. Tanks shown today are just not easy to use. And E8 is most fun to play with derp gun, it has the armor. Please keep the Series up, very nice format!!!
Ohh this video made me remember times when i was completely newbie. The ,,paper armored" sneaky German TD line was my first tech tree which i stepped in, with an uncompromising will to get the mighty Rhm. Borsig Waffentrager, and later on the Grille 15. The Nashorn was the first Panzer in the tech tree which i truly enjoyed, its a bit slow, the armor won't save you from anything, but the camo is good, and the gun handling is actually decent, penetration and also its DPM cool. So overall i think one of the best tier 6 tech tree TD, in my opinion currently only the Hellcat and Su-100 are better. I got the learn basic Tank Destroyer stuffs with good old Nashorn... :) After this video, maybe i take this old ,,animal" (Nashorn means Rhino in German) for a couple of battle and strengthen its average win ratio for a rather desired place. Given how bad the KV-1S is performing and the fact that Wargaming has it on their list of tanks to buff soon, I wonder if it'll get that 122mm gun like on the KV-85. That would bring it back a bit closer to what it used to be. The M4A3E8 is also on their list of tanks to buff soon. I'm guessing it'll get improved pen on the top gun, and maybe some improvements to the frontal armor.
The M4A3E8 is a fun tank and I enjoy it, but I did not enjoy 3 marking it. My advice for 3 marking it is to run the 105mm with a good balance of HEAT and HE. Intuition is good to have as a crew skill to allow you to switch shells faster. Knowing when to use what ammo is also important. The 105mm has a very short reload so at tier 8, you can try to use HE to track higher tier heavies and get damage assistance.
Loved the E2 version of the Sherman back in the day but the change to allow gold ammo to be bought with credits killed it for me. Actually being able to use armor is nice..now enemies just spam the 2 key
You are right about the tier change. Kv-1s used to be tier 6 and then was changed to tier 5. Apparently they since have changed it back to tier 6. Weird.
I enjoy the format. But i would enjoy it more in a realistic scenario: MM -1, as it happens to everyone (if not -2) and not +2, +1 or even, that are just dreams for common games

I never thought that the Easy 8 got such low winrate, i personally find it quite strong since it has the potential, the package is quite strong, even tho the HD remodeling took away a lot of armor, it used to have twice the thickness on the mantlet.
Man it hurts me to see how bad the Easy 8 an Jumbo Shermans have become. When the US Medium line came out, me and my friend used to platoon 2x Sherman Easy 8s together and just rush. We almost always died very fast, but it was common to take down 2 or 3 people directly, and support fire from team mates would often knock out 2 or 3 more in the first 2 minutes of the game. Got a LOT of easy, profitable wins that way back in CBT and the initial release of the game.
I wouldn't mind seeing you do some How to Play videos on tanks that most people play incorrectly and if you get into a sticky situation, how to get out with losing as little hp as possible
The outlines are crazy on wot you don't even need to see the enemy or battlefield or surroundings or anything for that matter.. I just can't get over it.. I've always loved wot it was my first tank game. I just feel it's changed way to much so fast. I lean a lil more towards wot. But great video QB as always

Got my first and only Pools medal in the E8, after a terrible session where nothing went right, decided one more game, charged down the west of steppes and cleaned up, was way more luck than skill but still have a soft spot for that tank

And this is why I play the worst tanks in the game. Hidden gems and little beasts! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m sure. There are no “bad tanks” just poor drivers. Obviously, if you’re someone who plays like QB here, you’re going to do well in any tank you put yourself in. What a stonking good show you put on for us, sir! Well played! My advice to you all is to go onto the collector tanks list and pick a few out that you think might be good. Chances are they will be! A lot of those tanks are actually pretty good crew trainers for your tech tree vehicles. Granted, they won’t make you buckets of credits like a premium would but they’re still great fun! Once again, a hearty thank you to you, Mr. Quickybaby! What a great handful of games! And good hunting to all you fellow tankers. Stay safe out there, everyone!
33:00 is the ultimate disrespect 4 years ago when I played blitz, the VK.28.01 had the waffle gun and the top turret had no cupola. It also had something stupid like 900 hp engine. It may still have these, I don't know, i haven't played in 4 years :P
I have only played the game for about 7 weeks, but am now at teir 6 and playing the nashhorn as my primary tank now. Low hit points and low armor and I don't know the maps, but have fun and am doing pretty well unless it is a game with 5 or so teir 8 heavies and such I cannot pen at all.
Man, the tier 5 version of the KV-1S with the 122 mm howitzer was a beast. I had my record of 11 kills with it. 150 mm of HEAT penetration with 370 alpha damage was so broken, considering this was before the low tier HP buff.
it is not only about resources for "old" players, it is mostly tactics and terrain recognition (every hole and bush) , as well as watching the mini map "with one eye".....
There's an American CC who goes by "FourTankersandDog," who works in IT, and his suspicion that the real reason for the HE change was that it was cheaper to process server side in the aggregate for WoT.

The Easy "sucks" because it's up against tier VII and VIII. It does fine vs VI. Just my opinion.

Same here, play tier 5 get tier 7, play 6 get 8, play 7 get 9 and 8 get 10. You get good at playing those higher tier tanks. You blow up much better.

They need to give it the M71 shot which would buff the pen to 132mm and give it the M93 premium rounds. The tier 5 uses the same exact ammo.

I'm surprised too. I like E8 more than Jumbo Sherman but Cromwell is still most fun imo. Sure it's not super awesome but it's enjoyable and it's a definition of average mid-tier medium.
Well, Easy 8/Sherman is like Tiger 1, a popular tank with many games and movies talk about them so new players want to play it and I think that most new players don't know much about other tank weakpoint...
My problem isn't the E8 it's the jumbo Sherman having the good 152mm armored turret as the first and the best turret being the weakest.

Seriously, I quit sometime after the French tree came in I think.. the Easy 8 was easily my favorite tank in the game, with both my best Win % (64%) and most kills in a match (12). Sad to see its fall from grace.
Shermans had stabilizers in real life back in WW2, so I think thats the reason why this Easy 8 can have vert stabs.
Funny how the game is full of tanks and their stats that are like completely made up but then WG goes "yeah so there's this little detail about the E8 that we specifically made true to real life..."
@@VoltigeurGT IIRC, Shermans being able to use vert stabs has been a thing for as long as vert stabs have been in the game.
I remember back in early WoT tanks days watching a Wolfpack of easy 8s dropping t32s and other t8s just all full throttle and circle strafing..those were the days
some of us still do this. We just do it to defenders now!
If I'm not wrong I mean the E8 was one of the first American tanks to be fully stabilized, and the VK28.01 was a beast before 9.18 as you could 1v1 almost any tank and just dance around them shooting HE or HEAT.
No, all of the Shermans had a stabilizer but the stabilizer only works vertically
I stopped playing wot like 6th months ago. I played from 1.1 If I remember correctly. The vk28 was one of my fav tanks, with the huge ramming power I outplayed a lot of tank, specially the paper type64s... Ended with 3 marks and 16.k games with 60% win ratio... And I was not even trying to play good, I was just memeing around ramming and bullyng small tanks...
I remember playing the E8 years ago and absolutely loving the voracious RoF on the gun. With a little help from your teammates, that thing could get around and just whittle down enemy hitpoints. But now with the sheer number of burst and/or DPM monsters that thing has to face, those risky plays just aren't worth it anymore

The Easy 8 was probably my joint favorite tank (tied with the E75) when I used to play. Vert stabs, vents, and gun rammer with a fully loaded crew and prem consumable made this thing feel incredible, especially with a full platoon of these with your friends
Any tank will feel amazing in such a scenario

I believe it’s because the easy 8 is an iconic tank at mid tiers so a lot of new players play it which drags down its win rating.

I absolutely adored my VK 2801 back in the 105mm days. Before the HE changes you were even able to have great games with standard ammo alone. And the innaccurate gun, poor camo, mediocre view range and big silhouette compared to other lights didn't really hold it back because at least it had that heavy-hitting alpha. You were even able to fight well-armored heavies and thus were more like a scouty medium rather than a pure scout. The main problem with the whole package was the good pen on the premium rounds that basically turned it into a fragile KV-1S on speed.
The worst part when they took the 105mm was that they didn't give the tank a new (less OP) gun that would've allowed it to perform the same role. A scout gun with good alpha, good penetration and bad DPM & accuracy would`ve made this certainly possible (something like 200 alpha, 160 pen, 1300 DPM, 0.42 accuracy, 2.5 aim time). It would've made brawling with other lights for scouting spots impossible but at least the tank would've kept some of its punch alive.
Easy8 bad? I do remember when i got it and had to fight IS-4 tank (when it was tier IX) with merely regular ammo. Perhaps that is why it feels so easy for me to play it nowadays. I never considered it might be underwhelming until WG announced they going to buff it. But i guess it's true - the competition on its tier grew and got better leaving it in the shadows and it's just me that didn't notice.

This really said something about the power creep in WOT
It use to be that u r in a flexible MT so you can spot or get around and not just brute force through the HT 2 tier higher then you and call it a problem
Poor Easy8 is basically a prime example of horrid powercreep.
It used to be a pretty solid medium on that tier. But at this stage, it is not only horribly outclassed by most other mediums on the same tier, it suffers due to matchmaking as well.

nah I'm playing since 2012 and I wouldn't say the tank was especially good even back then. For me it was always a rather mediocre tank, since tanks like T-34-85 and the german medium tanks were better with regards to armor, alpha dmg and penetration.
Power creep is the biggest reason why I don't play WoT anymore.
I would love to see more videos like this, I love to watch you try and make the tank work and the longer video style!
15:00 the KV1S has a really interesting history in game...
It started life at tier 6 where fully upgraded it was just a KV-122
Then it was replaced with the "KV-85" which could be set up as a historical KV-85, KV-100, or KV-122. At this time the KV-1S was downtiered to tier 5. IIRC stock it was a historical KV1S but it received access to the S-41 howitzer that one prototype received IRL (which was historically suggested to put it on the IS as well) and a turret which I've never seen any historical records of.
Then they brought it back up to tier 6. Not sure what they changed since I stopped playing the game but it doesn't look like they changed much
The win percentage has nothing to do with how good a player is Quicky. Many times the losses are 2 to 3 times more than wins, and even though I am normally in the top 5 of the losing team, their metric doesn’t take those stats into consideration. Hit ratio, and damage per game may be better, but if you’re grinding tech tree tanks, and not just playing the same high tier or premium tanks with macked out crews, there’s no way to truly know a players true skill.
What I find fascinating about WoT these days is this was one of the best tier 6 tanks back in the day. I find it amazing how much its been nerfed through attrition. Very sad that's what this game is like these days.
The sad reality of a "free to play" and "service based game" where the devs have to constantly change and add things to keep making money in order to keep changing things to keep new players coming into it. There was a point where WoT was in a really good state, many years ago, and really wish it had been left like that. I'm at the point were I am enjoying games that get released "done" (as much as they can be these days) and I can just play them.
would love to see more of this. maybe focusing on the pain points of a certain tech tree and how to play them to get through them
More like this please 😁. You hit the nail on the head regarding less than ideal crews for new players. It’s really frustrating at lower tiers when I see players with 100k+ games spamming full gold from tier 3 up.

I love how QB playing worst tanks includes them being fully speced out with modules and gear. It also includes copious amounts of premium ammunition. I''m sorry QB, but this is not what we want to see.

Honestly this made me feel like an actually good player with my 54,5% win rate in Easy8, it's an absolute joy to play with the 2,5s machine gun, great gun depression, solid mobility, accuracy...Shame that I suck at playing any other tank :(

Nashorn is one of my fav tier 6 TD...lots of PEn and high dpm always like if i get into tier 8 games..working on my 3rd MoE on it

It was nice to hear QB sees the HE nerf patch as one of the worst - I agree, the nerfed HE was the reason I stopped playing. I used to have the most fun in the Jumbo and KV-2. Now the game is like "no fun, only tryhard, waaah"
When I started with the Sherman series you had the option of going further up with the easy 8 or the jumbo. I opted for the Jumbo and therefore never drove the easy 8. I used to drive the T40 a lot back then and loved it. I also really enjoyed driving the archer. What challenges do you have if you only ever drive the OP tanks on the respective tiers, such as the T67 or the Hetzer.
Never thought the E8 was that low. I really enjoyed playing mine and had some pretty nutty games with it. It's a really good DPM machine for its tier
Nashorn was absolutely amazing tank to play at tier VI, the gun on that tank was really good especially with that dpm

I totally agree with you on the HE changes. That update changed things for me, certain vehicles I loved to play suddenly wasn't fun at all. And it was a good counter for some tanks aswell
@@KawaiianArgument I totally understand, and actually kind of agree with that, but they should've changed certain vehicles along with the HE changes. I mean, it does create a bigger skill gap - which makes the game better so I guess there's both pros and cons
When I had to choose between the E8 and E2 I got the E2 cuz it had better armor and ended up with me having the first and only tank I have 3 marks, really fun tank and easy to play back then.
I remember securing my first kill against an IS-3 in the M4A3E2 using the long gun...yes, I kept plinking him in the flat plate behind the gun on top of the turret.
Play the worst tier 5s. I have been grinding the tier 5 soviet SPG to go down the tech tree, and to say i am lucky to be playing the lowest 3 mark req tank in the game and not an actual vehicle to compete effectively against the sealclubbers is an understatement

Every tank has its characteristics different. Most players just can't adapt to it or don't want to. That's why i quit playing in clans. The only play the popular tanks, but if I was playing with a different tank, they first shouted at me and then in the results most of them where behind me. Tanks shown today are just not easy to use. And E8 is most fun to play with derp gun, it has the armor. Please keep the Series up, very nice format!!!

Ohh this video made me remember times when i was completely newbie. The ,,paper armored" sneaky German TD line was my first tech tree which i stepped in, with an uncompromising will to get the mighty Rhm. Borsig Waffentrager, and later on the Grille 15.
The Nashorn was the first Panzer in the tech tree which i truly enjoyed, its a bit slow, the armor won't save you from anything, but the camo is good, and the gun handling is actually decent, penetration and also its DPM cool. So overall i think one of the best tier 6 tech tree TD, in my opinion currently only the Hellcat and Su-100 are better. I got the learn basic Tank Destroyer stuffs with good old Nashorn... :)
After this video, maybe i take this old ,,animal" (Nashorn means Rhino in German) for a couple of battle and strengthen its average win ratio for a rather desired place.

Given how bad the KV-1S is performing and the fact that Wargaming has it on their list of tanks to buff soon, I wonder if it'll get that 122mm gun like on the KV-85. That would bring it back a bit closer to what it used to be.
The M4A3E8 is also on their list of tanks to buff soon. I'm guessing it'll get improved pen on the top gun, and maybe some improvements to the frontal armor.
This could be a good video series. Like having an informal constant rolling video with 3 or 4 games too

The M4A3E8 is a fun tank and I enjoy it, but I did not enjoy 3 marking it. My advice for 3 marking it is to run the 105mm with a good balance of HEAT and HE. Intuition is good to have as a crew skill to allow you to switch shells faster. Knowing when to use what ammo is also important. The 105mm has a very short reload so at tier 8, you can try to use HE to track higher tier heavies and get damage assistance.

Wow times have changed, I used to farm credits with the E8 back in the day... it was amazing back then and had no problems with penetration
Loved the E2 version of the Sherman back in the day but the change to allow gold ammo to be bought with credits killed it for me. Actually being able to use armor is nice..now enemies just spam the 2 key
You are right about the tier change. Kv-1s used to be tier 6 and then was changed to tier 5. Apparently they since have changed it back to tier 6. Weird.

I enjoy the format. But i would enjoy it more in a realistic scenario: MM -1, as it happens to everyone (if not -2) and not +2, +1 or even, that are just dreams for common games
My Easy8 is one of my favorite tanks. It does have limitations but if you account for them it can perform quite well.
Favourite QB in years. Not playing an OP tank? Check. Playing a real world tank? Check. Is it iconic? Check. Bad winrate? Check.

I never thought that the Easy 8 got such low winrate, i personally find it quite strong since it has the potential, the package is quite strong, even tho the HD remodeling took away a lot of armor, it used to have twice the thickness on the mantlet.
Man it hurts me to see how bad the Easy 8 an Jumbo Shermans have become. When the US Medium line came out, me and my friend used to platoon 2x Sherman Easy 8s together and just rush. We almost always died very fast, but it was common to take down 2 or 3 people directly, and support fire from team mates would often knock out 2 or 3 more in the first 2 minutes of the game. Got a LOT of easy, profitable wins that way back in CBT and the initial release of the game.

The outlines are crazy on wot you don't even need to see the enemy or battlefield or surroundings or anything for that matter.. I just can't get over it.. I've always loved wot it was my first tank game. I just feel it's changed way to much so fast. I lean a lil more towards wot. But great video QB as always

The e8 is a lot of people's first tier 6 which would make sense. Also just useless in tier 8 matches
Got my first and only Pools medal in the E8, after a terrible session where nothing went right, decided one more game, charged down the west of steppes and cleaned up, was way more luck than skill but still have a soft spot for that tank

And this is why I play the worst tanks in the game. Hidden gems and little beasts! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m sure. There are no “bad tanks” just poor drivers. Obviously, if you’re someone who plays like QB here, you’re going to do well in any tank you put yourself in. What a stonking good show you put on for us, sir! Well played!
My advice to you all is to go onto the collector tanks list and pick a few out that you think might be good. Chances are they will be! A lot of those tanks are actually pretty good crew trainers for your tech tree vehicles. Granted, they won’t make you buckets of credits like a premium would but they’re still great fun!

4 years ago when I played blitz, the VK.28.01 had the waffle gun and the top turret had no cupola. It also had something stupid like 900 hp engine.
It may still have these, I don't know, i haven't played in 4 years :P
I have only played the game for about 7 weeks, but am now at teir 6 and playing the nashhorn as my primary tank now. Low hit points and low armor and I don't know the maps, but have fun and am doing pretty well unless it is a game with 5 or so teir 8 heavies and such I cannot pen at all.
The KV-1S is still t5 on console, where it's a side-upgrade of the KV-1 leading to the KV-85
Man, the tier 5 version of the KV-1S with the 122 mm howitzer was a beast. I had my record of 11 kills with it. 150 mm of HEAT penetration with 370 alpha damage was so broken, considering this was before the low tier HP buff.
haha yeah that was fun, and for some reason it had superb mobility as well.
it is not only about resources for "old" players, it is mostly tactics and terrain recognition (every hole and bush) , as well as watching the mini map "with one eye".....
There's an American CC who goes by "FourTankersandDog," who works in IT, and his suspicion that the real reason for the HE change was that it was cheaper to process server side in the aggregate for WoT.
