      Dead batteries. This comment was not a criticism, but just me empathizing with the camera op not having the batteries charged and/or the wrong batteries in the camera during the take. Editing it in instead of reshooting, is an immortalized mistake. I’ve been there. Never forgot to check % before giving the go ahead again. 🤣

      @@DamienFinn Totally get it. Wasn't upset or felt criticized. I honestly forgot about that scene. You mentioned "in the final" so I was looking for a mistake at the end of the video. lol. Yeah we actually left it in cause we still had the audio recored separately so we thought it would be funny to leave it in. (obviously at his expense) But yeah, we've all been there. I appreciate the comment and didn't take offense at all. Glad you enjoyed it 😄🎥

    Honestly you can do this with only two light ! Background and key light (big soft box). And the rest only dodge and burn on photoshop !!

    • @Javier_Hernandez
      @Javier_Hernandez  3 года назад

      Thanks for the input. You can most certainly do it like that, and even if you only have ONE light you can do it and do composite in post. The reason I created this video is to show people how to shoot it in one take and how to use modifiers and other creative ideas to shape the light. I even say it in the end that you can do it with one or 2 lights and call it a day, maybe you missed that part. But there are many ways of doing it. This was just my take on it. Glad you enjoyed it.

      hi bro, i am Portrait Photographer(Wedding and Graduate Student...currently happy in these Two fields). Fashion-not yet ...
      I do (summarize) my opinion in this sentence:
      ##3 Lights are possible to make picture “wow”. 2 Lights are possible too but need reflector. Shadow is NOT REALLY good to enhance product(shoes) for selling, unless in small area.##
      (Details) below:
      For me, Javier can use only 3 Lights and still can make a picture "wow" and get FUN like he want. For me to Javier: 1 key Light + 1 Fill Light + 1 Background Light(Gradient Not make it in Photoshop as we are not Designer.... by GENERAL).
      If you agree with two Light for him, i agreed in this way:
      1 Key Light + 1 background Light for Gradient.
      Use a reflector to Fill the Light. If Key Light, if you suggested him to use #Big Softbox for (Key Light), he needs to put closer enough. The Light will be VERY SOFT with the Lowest volume power. You need to give OPINION to use a reflector with closer distance...if you want to use BIG SOFTBOX. Otherwise,
      Small or medium size for softbox is VICE VERSA.
      The reason WHY use 3 Lights like i suggested you in the first place is because, Javier and also a Studio Photographer are NOT "MAKING picture" outdoor in such background like #grass(Foreground) and #mountain(Background) . So they no need to Light the background. Grass and Mountain are not necessary. Its just an example. - Positive Mindset Photographer.

      Not sure what your question or comment means. You can shoot product with one light of 20 lights. I did this video to show you how I shoot a product using several lights and how I manipulate them. I have tons of lights and I watch youtube tutorials all the time from other people so I can learn and get ideas from others. So again, not sure what your comment means or what you are referring too. Please explain and I'd be more than happy to answer it for you

    • @malikkvines
      @malikkvines 4 года назад +1

      @@Javier_Hernandez i appreciate you for commenting on every comment
      My point was
      That most people who come to youtube are mostly learner
      Who are new in product Photography
      And have one or two lights
      So it will be nice of you if you teach us product Photography with one or two lights setup
      So we can practice watching you and try to apply same lights that you teach us
      Try to go in a sequence show us what we can do with one
      Light
      Then two lights
      So the beginners like me can teach something
      By the way my comment make no sense if you already have done that video 🤣
      I am going to explore your channel after this comment
      I hope my comment will not be negative
      Just trying to tell you what i as a learner want to see

    • @Javier_Hernandez
      @Javier_Hernandez  4 года назад

      @@malikkvines I don't take your comment negative at all. Just trying to figure out what you mean so I can answer you properly. In the description I literally tell you I'm going to use 8 lights to shoot this shoe. If you want to see it done with one or 2 lights, then you can do that on your own and/or there are tons of youtube videos showing you how to do that. But that's really simple and the reason I'm showing you how to do it with more lights and make it interesting. Also you can do it with one light and do a composite photo which is way more technical and complicated. And i believe you are mistaken that youtube is only for beginners. RUclips does not discriminate and there are much more advanced tutorials from other people on here. I'm basically showing you how I achieved this with 8 lights. Also it can be with any type of light. The point of this tutorial is showing you with what ever light you have you can manipulate it and make this style of shoot. I hope that helps.

You got it? Bro
      1 sharing..
      I have 1 friend which #most of his photos are SUPERB in Fashion Category/Advertising Photographer who are NOT AGREE that we can create our own STYLE. He actually COPIED almost Richard Avedon(The Master). He said like that which is (WIN his photos). Yes, He and others Photographers around the world have Chances to STAND OUT/FAMES to the WORLD in portraiture with GOOD quality because The Avedon already died. From my point of view, whether shoes it self or with a model will depend on the Client(if a shot is paid ). We(Photographer) can give consultation to the client if possible. The client will give final decision,The Decision Maker $$$.
