+Natsfan1112 Schwartz went on a podcast and fired away at Polk claiming he's bad, before saying that he himself "beasts high stakes" when in reality...well just look at the graph
Doug Polk Poker I agree I've replayed this hand so many times, it's just epic! I watched a lot of the 2 days on twitch and enjoyed it so much I've watch them again a 2nd time. The players really had a nice mix with different styles and personalities. With Jeremy there you couldn't take your eyes off it because anything cud of happened, I really hope Doug, deeb, Busquet and hellmuth are in the same line up again, Doug and deeb have great wit about their commentary which keeps it entertaining while dougs analysis is top drawer.I must say I don't think I have enjoyed watching any poker as much as these few days. Well done to all involved and I hope this comes around again soon.
Jeremy knew that Deeb was unlikely to have a two, because he raised pre-flop. An ace would be more likely, and Jeremy knew he could represent a two and get two pair hands to fold.
I'm a micro limit, online donk and have been for a decade. I don't ever get better, but I kinda don't care. I just love playing and having fun. What I am really enjoying are your video's. I love your commentary and the way you explain the hands as they play out. I'll probably never get any better, but you should know, your video's make me want to get better, I just think I'm beyond the point of no return. Still, appreciate your hard work. Keep it up. Cheers Ollie....woof.
Maybe should have called it Does Shaun Deeb get wrecked by amatuer on river bluff? Compared to many hands you highlight this is actually a really good one and I would have preferred not knowing that Deeb folds. Almost ruins the video.
Have you considered calling your show Polking your own Hand? I know others have suggested similar, but with that haircut..... Seriously though, your channel is great. Keep beasting everything.
I recall seeing somewhere that Ryan Fee would release a live poker course on Upswing. When is that coming? Will it be in the lab or separate like the heads up course?
Doug, would you consider a more serious post about how to avoid going broke? I am not talking about bankroll management, I am talking about how to avoid becoming a compulsive gambler who must bet thousands every week on sports, casino games, and the like where between the house advantage and the Law of Large Numbers your cash position will always be in a death spiral. I saw a forum post where you were listed as one of the few poker pros not currently broke. Even Ted Forrest, a poker legend who has made tens of millions in cash games, went broke, couldn't make good on some casino markers last Fall, and was arrested on felony charges. I would be very surprised if that happened to you, so maybe you could provide some advice?
people fold best hands from time to time no big deal. you might get owned by the fish on your table but that doesnt mean anything. you can outplay anyone in the world once or twice if you play crazily but that doesnt make you a winning player.
Doug, which 2x hands is Deeb supposed to fold here, if any? He's only opening 32s, 42s, 52s, and A2s, and two of those are boats on the river. We can't even select 2x hands with diamonds to fold because the 2d is on the board, and our 2x hands are all suited. You seemed to insinuate the conclusion that we can't fold any 2x hands here. I guess Deeb just decided that the jam, given the action up to that point, was too audacious to be a bluff?
Once again, smashing!!! What is gangster city, besides a place you don't take the family? Please offer ur explanation in an interpretive dance or a traditional folk song. Much appreciated! POLKER4LIFE
Deeb was unable to read the Celebration atmosphere as anything other than a guy acting like he has the best hand and knows it. Deeb is serious and focused, the opponent is laughing putting him down talking shit and high fiving other players, does not look worried in the least. The bluffs second aspect is Deeb is known to the opponent and he plays to his weakness- EGO. They are already laughing at him and if he throws more money in the pot and loses the table will erupt with laughter..which happens anyway. Great bluff. Never play with your friends for money, play with strangers, this stuff will happen to you a lot less often. This was also possible due to low table etiquette allowing the comments to go out there in the first place. In my opinion.
Fanatics go to mecca, trolls meet at Doug's channel :D Hello guys Thug Polk here, and today we are replacing our profile pic for a Luke Schartz's Stats pic. Doug Sensei, make trolling great again :>
I don't think Jeremy expects Shaun to show up with a 2 there. I'm pretty sure he was putting Deeb on a thinner value raise KK/AK-A10/A4 and thought this board is usually gonna hit his range harder than Deeb's. Tough spot
@@Dreamagain11 @Dreamagain11 You could raise KK, especially with the Kd after the turn checks through and the river bet is less than half pot. That's not many combos in the range for this situation tho, so not likely. Knowing the players, Deeb should have a stronger opening range in this scenario and Jeremy will have all the junk therefore more 2s and 35
Where did all the hate for Deeb come from? A few years ago everyone loved him. He was the nice, fat kid that would buy his grandma into the WSOP. Now, every video he's in is filled with hate comments. As far as I know the worst he's ever done was sort of slow-roll 2 guys that he was actually friends with
that's a good question. if you think you're going to get called by hands like AQ + AK etc than it would be a super sick value raise. But I think the majority of hands that will call you are going to have A4 or A10 beat which essentially turns your hand into a bluff. I think it would be better to just flat call there with A4 or A10
the point would be to bluff deeb(good opponent) off of bad deuces such as the one he's holding. It's a fair assumption that a good player would bet the turn with AK or AQ. We cant only have our super occasional AA, TT, and 44 for value
In some situations, villain might even merge a T, or especially a 4, into a bluff here. Both pretty strange, but who knows. (Having one thus blocks part of his bluff range) Also, Ax will nearly never raise on the river. AA/TT/44/22 mostly bet the turn, as do many 2pairs. You assume that AJ+ should generally be inclined to go for value on the turn, what is the range you check behind? I certainly understand that it allows more 3barrels (as bluffs) , however it caps the checking range as well. Means: It depends upon whether you want to bluff more yourself, or want to catch bluffs, by underrepresenting your hand. (e.g. : OOP floats, as in the hand) As it is, and as Doug pointed out, the raise is most often a 2, and blockers do not really improve our bluffs against it. However, it makes slowplayed monsters (boats) slightly less likely; - so: maybe. Also, in this case, we had a valuebet with 2pair on the river in the first place.
Seems like an obvious call to me. Check raise the flop, checks turn, small bet on river then goes all-in after being raised? What is he representing, a full house? That means he would've had either a set or 2 pair on the turn, yet he checks? Is he representing a straight, again he would've had to have it on the flop, and again check the turn, then all-in after being raised on the river with a pair on the board? None of it makes any sense.
Every time I click on a poker video, I get so pissed off when I realise it’s a Doug Polk video. I want to watch and hear the hand, not listen to a guy who is in love with the sound of his own voice. Does anyone know if it’s possible to block a RUclipsr?
Even if Kaufman got called here I wonder if this is a good play long-term. Kaufman gets some fame either way and if he plays relatively tight in the future his opponents may call with weaker than usual hands the next times he jams rivers.
Folks that play Poker are obviously Polks and you are a guy thats named Doug...so your Intro clearly should be "Whats up Polks, Doug Guy here!" If you use that Intro for your next video, you will be even more of a hero to me! Chances are I even would tatoo that on my Ass!
Think Jeremy pretty much gave away the fact he was bluffing, pretty big tell. That said i've not really seen him play so I guess he could be balanced with that tell? Kinda doubt it though?
hey man ive been watchin you for some bit now and there is a guy that within the last couple months started doing a vegas poker blog named andew neeme he would be great for a collab if you havnt met him before
Messed up preflop, Jeremy was original straddle to $100, Glantz was restraddle to $200
Not very.. *Polkfessional* of you ha ha.. ha, no? ok, I will let myself out.
ok this meme is dead now thank you Murray
Doug Polk Poker Its not dead, the meme gets stronger every new video!
Doug Polk Poker Non of this matters because I fucking beast highstakes, I fucking beast!
When is your band Blink 182 going to get back together
Will the next video be Doug Polk commentating on Doug Polk Commentating on Doug Polk Commentating?
"Polk-ception"
We have to go deeper
That's what Polk said...
😂😂😊
You constantly having Luke Schartz's stats in the background is why you're the king of trolling.
Ian Boylan Beast!
whats the story behind that
+Natsfan1112 Schwartz went on a podcast and fired away at Polk claiming he's bad, before saying that he himself "beasts high stakes" when in reality...well just look at the graph
This is one of my favorite TV hands ever.
Also, how is this video 13:38 long. That should never happen.
Doug Polk Poker should of made it 13:37!
I was literally going to suggest this hand... Yes! Let's laugh at Shaun Deeb mouahahaha

Luke Michalowski That was the whole point of Doug's comment, way to go Captain obvious
Jeremy knew that Deeb was unlikely to have a two, because he raised pre-flop. An ace would be more likely, and Jeremy knew he could represent a two and get two pair hands to fold.
Hey Doug beautiful pic of the Grand Canyon behind you there.
Poor Shaun Deeb, he's such a nice guy...said no one ever.
Doug, have you considered getting a hand job and calling it Polker hands?
Thumbs up for a fresh take on a dead horse

Oh yeah.... of course.... that makes perfect sense actually....

Just noticed new picture frame over your shoulder. Absolutely incredible.
Have you considered calling these poker hands Doug Dimmadome home of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome hands? You know, since your name is polk?
THANK YOU TO THE PERSON TRANSLATING THE VIDEOS, A THOUSAND BLESSINGS
This content is priceless. Keep up this good vibe, man; you'll soon go viral !
Maybe should have called it Does Shaun Deeb get wrecked by amatuer on river bluff? Compared to many hands you highlight this is actually a really good one and I would have preferred not knowing that Deeb folds. Almost ruins the video.
I couldn't hear much of what was said guys. Whereabouts was this in the vids on YT/the stream if it's up?
You had me at "Shaun Deeb gets wrecked"
Have you considered calling your show Polking your own Hand? I know others have suggested similar, but with that haircut.....
Seriously though, your channel is great. Keep beasting everything.
I just had a wildly original idea Doug. You should call this POLKER HANDS!!!!!!
Have you considered asking RUclips to change Sub Button to Polk Sub Button?
Vi Hong hahahahahahahahaha NO!
11:42
"Would you like to buy one of these cards?"
"Yes"
"For $3,000.......... You can go fuck yourself"
:D awesome lol

what is that graph on the wall behind doug on his commentary does it say he's down 81k for a certain date range
Jeremy is the kind of player that keeps a game going overnight
Polk up dougs! Whats up here!
This is good stuff, Doug. It is interesting to go through weak plays like this, apart from all the famous hands.
I would have flat called the river not allowing a re-raise all in. Showdown and see what happens.
doug please tell me you are coming here to oklahoma in april for polker night in america...
What's up polk, doug poker here
0:28 Dentale was the worst player at the table.
Kaufman looks nervous as fuck, Deeb should be able to notice that
Did you ever get that high-five at the end?

Why da fuq is Dentale sitting with 40bbs? I cant...
Why is hellmuth always in the 4 seat? front and center?
Hey Doug where did you get the poker shirt from?
i still dont get why he folded i mean what is he putting jerem on? Fours full or ace 2 maybe? deff not 10s full 5 3? dont think so either bad fold

what graphic do you have on your wall?
Hey Doug how many bracelets you have?
What was the Q9 hand with Hellmuth?
'Ow my God, Ow my God!' *box
That's why we love Douggy's style!!
Tried to focus on the video but something in the background made a voice inside my head say "I fucking beast high stakes, I beast everything"
...weird
I just want to know where I can watch that episode of poker night in america
They will probably upload it in about a year, no joke.
Doug have you considered never saying "Polk the sub button" ever again?

60K views, and noone is even commenting or giving their view on the hand anymore, which used to be the case. Now the comment section is just a meme XD

Do you do the Polka?
Kaufman is definitely my new favorite rec player. Poker is so much more entertaining with these players.
Kaufman is the perfect person to bluff,if you have it. He is thinking "what can I represent" and then go with it. Easy Money 😄😁
Are you related to the great James K. Polk, 11th President of the United States?
Nick Hansen Yeah, but it's not a direct line. He didn't have kids iirc.
