Thank you! This became an issue on my 2014 F10 this year. Question - when I bought the car in 2014, I had to touch the door handle for the comfort access to unlock the doors. Now, after a software update (I believe), when I walk up to the car, it tries to unlock itself without me touching anything. Is this a new software feature? ("proximity unlock"" or something like this? our 2024 model has it, but this 2014 model never had it until earlier this year). I think this is what triggered the issue for me. Can I go back to the original software that I had run for many years without issue, to resolve the battery drain issue? Or do I have to do a physical repair at this point?
Or is this just a normal issue with comfort access doors over time?

I would think your 2014 didn't have any proximity unlocking. It might sound crazy but I think it's just a coincidence. I would say start by figuring out which handle it is when approaching the car and disconnecting it. And just start from there. Don't forget to subscribe, please. Thank you!!
Very helpful info, my F10 530d 2011 when I approach by the passangers door acts just like that, did you by any chance had issue showing Battery discharged start the engine, I suspect maybe because of this door lock? The same problem is like the video you shot, the rear door handle broke down, I bought it used, it works now, but the battery sign comes, but the battery sign comes when I first start my car in the morning, I don't understand whether I need to code my car, I'm clearly not an interpreter like you.

Great video Finally found a video about confort access issues !I have an issue with my Comfort Access and that was ever since a dude installed apple car play that allow me to watch video RUclips from my phone on dash.Ever since he installed that,my confort access never worked right and now while am driving the door unlocks and locks constantly while I had it code like when I get 20mph the 4doors unlocks automatically.And I keep hearing that click click noise while I am inside the car.Can you tell me what scanner mini computer you got with you so I can run a scan and find out what’s the issues.Thanks

I bought it on ebay used, but I can give you a link to another item from the same seller on ebay. He's legit, and I haven't had any issues with my comfort access. Give him your vin and car color. Hello, So I was doing a comfort access door handle replacement and I loosened up the torx screw that was holding up the handle, however when I was wiggling the handle out it knocked the screw out and fell into the door, fast forward I got the screw out and I asked my mechanic what would happen if the screw came completely off, he said that the door has to be taken apart because something plastic of sort was holding the screw in. My question that can I just simply put the torx screw back in? was my Mechanic bsing about something holding the torx. has anyone dropped this screw before?
@Devosent, looking at this diagram, I think it just goes back in if it's the long screw I'm looking at on the left picture. I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right thing, though. I changed the door handle on mine also in the same spot but the door handle is still acting up. I bought my door door handle of eBay used too. Is there any other possibilities it could be anything else ?
I'd say at this point I would unplug that door handle and see if it stops doing it, then you would know for sure it's a bad door handle you got. If no change, then move to the door handle in the front passenger side and unplug it, and see if anything changes. Let me know...
Could i just leave the comfort access unplugged if I'm not bothered about using it? Or would it potentially cause problems?
You can leave it unplug, it doesn't affect anything besides the comfort access function.
So I’ve been having a issue with my comfort access. Some of the wires from the door handle got cut and when I plugged it back in a bunch of lights started coming on my dash. Ik nothing is wrong with my car just wanna know how to get rid of the lights and get my car driving back to normal.
Do you mind sharing what lights are on when you plug the door handle back in?
