2019 US Meal Halal Individual MRE Review Saag Chole with Lamb Ration Taste Testing
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 30 янв 2020
- The Meal Halal Individual is issued to US service members on strict religious diet, and is also used on joint operations with Muslim practicing soldiers from allied countries. This introduction is with one of the more exotic menus in the case of 12 - Saag Chole with Lamb. It's dessert is a decadent butterscotch pudding in a generous 4 ounce serving, via thermostabilized retort. The components are quite versatile and could be mixed up in a range of different ways. This can really help with overall menu fatigue and monotony.

LET'S GET THIS OUT ONTO A TRAY, NICE™
NICE HISS™
I'LL BE COMING BACK AT YOU WITH SOMETHING NEW OR OLD, ALRIGHT COOL SEE YA™ - Развлечения
Less than a year old? You’re gonna get sick eating food that fresh!
Max N hehe, that made me giggle!
His gastrointestinal system will get a shock when it tries to digest food that isn't spoiled or containing botulism
Lol
Bruh it’s a mre it can last long like for 10 years or more
Tell that to the Chinese PLA ration he ate
I’ll NEVER get tired of him editing the drink stirring to give it a little tune.
I thought he had magic spoons ☹️
I missed the musical spoons
Bro I would buy that tune on vinyl if I could
Always love that
So true!
re "Not enough vanilla." FYI, while vanilla beans are halal, vanilla extract is processed with alcohol, which makes the extract not-halal. There are some forms of vanilla that are processed with alcohol substitutes that can be used in halal cooking.
Apparently all the msg and soybean oil are ok tho
Look at the big brain on Donnie N!
Interesting
Wait what? Vanilla extract has alcohol in it?
@@kojak5500 Yeah, like 35% to ensure that it is pure and to extract the vanilla flavour.

Steve your videos have STILL kept me sober for almost three years!!!!! Thank you!!! I watch them every time I have an urge. You’re my unofficial sponsor! On another note, you’ve inspired me to go back to school at night. I wan to teach history! And I promise your videos will be part of my curriculum. You’re the exception to Florida Man!!! Love ya bro! Thank you for your amazing contributions to American and MRE history!
There is something magical and yet simple in his videos.
Good for you buddy!
That’s so great to hear!! Watching his videos definitely comforts me as well, when I’m stressed or anxious....not sure why...he’s just magic I guess 😝😻
that’s absolutely amazing!! i wish you the best of luck my guy. :)
I have often wondered how your journey has been going along the way here. Thank you for keeping us posted and congratulations on your continued strength on sobriety along with the industrious nature to get back into life with productive and inspiring contributions. Keep the passion alive bro, and I'll always be here making these videos along the way for you to watch for if that thought process ever starts to kick back in for some reason. Alright cool, see ya.

I’d like to see Steve’s ultimate MRE pack. Make it of all the favorites.
It'd be at least 50% sweetened condensed milk..

It would be Revolutionary War meat,Civil War pudding,WW1 canned milk,WW2 mashed potatoes, Korean War sardines. 😅😅
Everything would come in cans with a “nice hiss.”
I need a Spotify list of all of Steve's musical Spoon and Glass numbers.
I actually laughed out loud on this comment! And I typed it all out because I was just that inspired!
The distinct sound of the spoon clinking against the top of the glass when he's done stirring is always refreshing to hear.
Classic 😂
well you are in for a surprise. in the other video that came out today, Lithuanian MRE, he has added a low undertone with the ding ding tones. hard to make out. Steve am I right?
Why doesn't never sound as musical when I do that? 😂
does anyone else think hes playing a very short tune to a song like hes communicating to us?
asmr for sure :D
was out in the field for a week and we ran out of standard mres. so they gave us all these and i was very impressed.

As a Muslim, it helps a lot to know there is halal MRE.
You can request halal MREs from the chaplain. Same with kosher meals.

The way you "modify" the meal elements reminds me of when we used to get creative with C-rations. The one that I remember most is making pudding with the cocoa powder, peanut butter, coffee creamer, and sugar, if I remember right.

When i’m hungry at night, but there’s nothing to eat but cheese shreds in the fridge, I watch steve and he inspires me to either 1: tough out the hunger because nothing will be as bad as what the soldiers went through out on the field or 2: get creative and make something out of nothing, filling my belly and accomplishing something. Thanks steve.
Eat an MRE in the kitchen while you watch Steve eat an MRE
What a random passion - dude loves his MRE’s like no other, fun as hell to watch!
Studying what soldiers used to eat or eat now when they're on deployment is interesting stuff.
I've only found one Halal MRE, a 2018 issue Jalfrazi, and it was freaking delicious, not like an MRE at all. Soldierfolk: don't sleep on these. They're good food.
at a guess: it is the spices. Plenty of continental or otherwise standard "good ol american food" can be prepared in a fairly bland manner. Many households shy away from stronger flavors, so when the MRE has less spice it isn't really a complaint... but as time goes on most americans are becoming more accustomed to food with more spice and start missing it. Various foods that are more 'ethnic' get somewhat special treatment because even if they aren't 100% accurate, they still need a certain level of spices to be recognizable as a given dish.
Don’t forget India got invaded for it’s food....Indian food is insanely good
My mum makes Jalfrezi occasionally. Fuckin' love it to bits

I know it's been 9 months, but I just wanted to say that, while it may look like whatever dish it's supposed to be, it also looks like either baby poop or just vomit.
Your comment reminds me I need to be thankful I discovered non-western food in my early twenties, and never, ever looked back.
To me, burgers now look like something that's been run over and dropped into a bin, and most "traditional" Western food just stinks of fat and salt and look about as appetising.
“There goes the pepper” should be on a t shirt
I am laughing just thinking about the dry way he says it.
And another one saying 'it needs the salt'

Hey, I make saag with my family usually a few times a year, it's mainly spinach and mustard greens and some other greens rendered down with a little bit of corn flour. You can add paneer and other things to it it's pretty healthy meal and tastes great when made right. I'm Sikh btw and it's a fairly common vegetarian dish. Was quite surprised when I saw it in this mre. It's always nice with crispy naan

Steve your videos are so calming and stabilizing. I know people have said it, but it’s especially important now. When I have spent too much time dealing with what has become the main stream and sanity and my own morale takes a precipitous drop, all I have to do is watch a few videos, even ones I’ve seen over and over again to help it recover.
