Nice you got one already! What height frame, you said medium, but did you mean the 25"? I'm 6'3" as well and would use a 26.5" personally. 5000 looks to be the only model with the front stretch zip on the left hand side when looking striaght at it. I didn't like that the K3 3600 only had front stretch pocket access from the top. The K3 4800 was perfect. I like that they adopted that idea across all models this year. I like that they added zips to the side (spotter) pockets as well.

Hey wade, I got the medium belt with 26.5 frame. Sorry for the confusion.
So far all the compartments and zippers are great. I went with the 5k for the extra zippers too

Nice. Got mine yesterday. Pretty sweet and love the fit so far compared to my k3. Looking to get it out this weekend.

I am very intrigued by the pack, especially the molle on the hip belt. I run a bottle on my hip and this new system answers the issue of clearance for those running a Nalgene style bottle .
One question I have is this…. There is no support between the two carbon stays. I know Steve did this purposely. If you flex the frame inward, is there any barreling?
I run another brand and have been happy with it. But I am very intrigued with Exo’s innovation on this new system.

I have not loaded it with weight or taken it outside yet, but just messing with it, it is stout and no barreling at all. Very rigid.

@@viamoutdoors3455 thanks I appreciate it. How wide (tall) is the hip belt? It looks pretty substantial and really caught my eye. My packs belt seems narrower in profile and is something I have questioned.

At the tallest point, it's 6.75" tall, and the widthe is 33.5" from one side all the way across

There are carbon supports between the flat stays that prevent the barreling. At approximately 10:30 mark of the linked video Steve goes over barreling and how the frame prevents it with the carbon support between the two flat stays. ruclips.net/video/mqQ3zsx_nUo/видео.html

@@dirtfishingdad_2_34 thanks for the info. I just watched that last night and that was the final thing that sold me on the frame. My SG flexes or barrels when tensioned down tight with a heavy load. So I did not want to get into a similar situation with a new pack system. Thanks again!

I’ve had the same problem with other packs digging into my hip bones. I have a 33/34 inch waist do you end up bottoming out the medium belt? Or do you have some play?

I was recommended a medium, but being a 34" waist, I would say a small is better. I only have about an inch of webbing on each side fully cinched down

Call them and speak to Mark. My guess is a medium belt on 25" stays
