Hey Josh, looking at getting this for hauling around my whitetail hang on, all my winter layers, and packing out a few deer a year. And then hopefully start getting into western hunting next year with SD mule deer, and hopefully draw Montana Elk. I'm looking at the K4 5000, think this is a good size ?
real nice look at this pack. Its pretty awesome you've gotten into a position to test this stuff out. I've got the K3, gonna stay with it. I'm hoping there's going to start being some K3 bags hitting the used market. I want to get a 4800.
Oh, it would work just fine for that. I use it for hiking all of the time. In the end, it's a quality backpack that feels great. It just also can handle a grip of weight, haha.
Hey man. Good video. Did you have any lower back pain at the end of a hike with the K4 5000 bag? I really like the design of this K4 5000. However, this is my first real backpack purchase and I want a comfortable pack for my back. Thanks, Mike
Can you feel a substantial difference in comfort and fit in the wider waist belt on the K4 vs the K3? I have a K3 4800 right now, man it's hard to justify the upgrade when the K4 is $700+ and let the K3 go. I need to convince myself there is a $700 worth of improvement that would change my experience. Thanks
Totally understandable. Big investment. If the performance of the k3 was great, the k4 is excellent in my opinion. I don't feel a substantial difference in the waist belt itself, but in the k4 system as a whole, yes. How that frame twists with your body is pretty incredible. Like I said, it was the first thing that really jumped at me when I started heading down the trail. Hope that helps man. Your k3 is MORE THAN capable. The k4 is for sure a legit upgrade though.
Awesome review on it may need one for couesdeer this year ..Thanks for posting..
Thanks! Heck yeah!

@coleasinas2570 Awesome man! Absolutely. The k4 5000 is a fantastic do it all size. Very versatile.

Oh, I'm sure there will be. Thanks for watching!
Hell ya. So damn stoked you did this review. Thinking in the next little while of getting one. I’m wondering if you think the k3 would be good too!
Heck yeah! Thanks for watching. K3 is a fantastic pack too man. Both are very capable pieces of gear.
This is a great review. Thank you very much.
Glad you liked it. Thanks Kevin!
Thanks Josh
Of course! 👊🏼👊🏼
How would it be as primarily a hiking and camping bag and partially use it for hunting and as a bugout/tactical bag?
Oh, it would work just fine for that. I use it for hiking all of the time. In the end, it's a quality backpack that feels great. It just also can handle a grip of weight, haha.
I’m not sure I should watch this since I just got a k3 when it was on sale for thanksgiving. Per your recommendation 😂😂
Hahahahaha! K3 is still a solid pack. With that being said, more money might magically disappear from your account, lol. JK 😜

Thanks Mike! I had zero low back pain. Understandable, it's an investment for sure.
