Commands Used:
Add an IP address to the 2nd bridge interface: nano /etc/network/interfaces
Create an address: address X.X.X.X
Create a subnet mask: netmask 255.255.255.0
Restart Networking: systemctl restart networking
Turn on IPv4 Forwarding: nano /etc/sysctl.conf
Force sysctl to read the new values from the file: sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.conf
Configure iptables to NAT outbound connections:
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.36.0/24 -o pnet0 -j MASQUERADE
Save the current iptables rules and create a new file:
iptables-save (greater than symbol) /etc/iptables.conf
Restore IP tables:
Edit this file: nano /etc/rc.local
Insert this command: iptables-restore (lesser than symbol) /etc/iptables.conf

I have missed the below command while editing.
Restart Networking after adding IP address to pnet1 interface: systemctl restart networking
Also, I have given all the commands in description.
/etc/rc.local not found
simplesmente foda! consegui subir meu eveng no google graças a este vídeo!
Just, thank you! :)
Thank you for this guide. Do you know how to SSH to individual nodes in the topology for automation tasks? Thank you.
Thanks
good video
Thank you.
Thanks, any idea how to configure in bound connectivity, ie I want to port forward https to manage a eve-ng node?
Awesome video! Was looking for exactly the same thing.
I have a request too, i am using Pnetlab, on GCP SERVER, how can I connect my Local PC to the topology ? An explanation like this would be super awesome too.
Also one more request!!! In Pnetlab, again using GCP server, if we enter using console mode, the default Putty opens up. How can we change that to something like MultTabbed Putty or MobaXterm? this will be super helpful too
Thank you . the persistent command is not working for me after i save the rc.local and reboot the eve-ng instance . can you please add an video to remove the ip tables completely and make it work without it
when I reboot my gcp instance cloud1 has gone ? Any ideas why ?
how to connect physical pc to eve-ng IOS switch/router
Connect IOS Device to Management cloud and configure IP address in same Subnet of your PC. Then you can connect your physical PC to Eve-ng.
hi, the file etc/rc.local doesn't exist any idea ? Appreciate any help
same
Do you know why the cloud connections in eve-ng are so slow?
At 14:00 it is very slow.
At the end it is now fast.
Why is it slow? What is the difference?
I'm asking because even when I connect directly to PNET 1 - and run speed test, it starts out fast but immediately grinds to a near halt.
Yet I can run the same speed test directly from eve command line and it is fast. I don't get it. Why it is slow in the 1st place?
I think it is slow because of the nested virtualization within EVE NG. If you find any other reasons for slowness, please add the details here so that it will be useful for everyone!
Which one good for run EVENG
