it is possible to configure Mikrotik RouterOS inside my EVE-NG which is hosted on my Google Cloud Platform, using Winbox in my local PC.
One like is not enough for this video
@@basudebbhanja1144 I wish he would answer the question of why the internet is so slow thru EvE NG's routers or nested VM's.
I can't get any answer for this. If you run speedtest you get multi Gbs from within the Ubuntu image. But a router or PAN image is almost unusable.
This is a very good sample of setting up for eve-ng on google cloud going online. But you need a bit of technical set to apply more to adapt this solution.
The lack of this is only focusing on the subnet 192.18.18.0/24 that is set as connected interface.
I believe many followers here have an issue that they cannot apply this solution to other nodes or subnets that are not directly connected to the pnet9.
Solution: You need to put more nat configuration and routing entry in the VM for the nodes or subnets that you want them to go online.
Was searching for this solution for a longggggggg time. I have tried it and it works !! Thank you for all the good work you are doing here.
Thank you a lot. you have plenty of time. your explanation is very impressive.
Thank you! Great video, couldn't find this anywhere.
it worked! thank you Bikash! currently studying for CCNA. My certs expired many years ago since I stepped away from networking hehe 😃
Thanks very much for this turorials, the best and well explain easy to understand it really worked for me, thanks bro
dude you are a rock star !!
You're the best!
it worked... great video my friend
Nice Job
Thank you
Awesome video Bikash... Can you also make a video on how to download and install DHCP Server into EVE-NG as well? As well as how to configure the DHCP Server for the pnet9 interface(Cloud 9 network)?
- Thanks... :-)
Life saver
the 'network' option in /etc/network/interfaces should be 'netmask'. Otherwise, great work
You saved my lab 😁. Just subscribed 👍
Glad I could help! Thanks for sub. 👍
@@BikashsTech I selected hong kong as my location because mumbai didn't have 8 vcpu, 16 gb and 100 gb ssd. could you please help me selecting my nearest location and the region? i stay in west bengal and hong kong location is pretty far, with a high ping rate 200-400 ms. I am already a ccna certified, and setting up big labs for ccnp encor practicals has become a head-ache, its slow in gcp with high ping rate.
Good video but you should add router at end instead paloalto so general public can be beneficial
One think it is possible to configure Mikrotik RouterOS inside my EVE-NG which is hosted on my Google Cloud Platform, using Winbox in my local PC.
The standard configuration for the locally installed EVE-NG allows me to connect my PC network to the virtualized network, but since my EVE-NG is now on the cloud, is it possible to connect the RouterOS to my PC Winbox for easier configuration?
Can you also make a video on how to install DHCP Server into EVE-NG as well? As well as how to configure the DHCP Server for the pnet9 interface(Cloud 9 network)?
hello sir, thank you, I subscribed your very useful chanel, i can reach to internet from first node which is connected to cloud directly ( firewall in your example topology ) but i cant from other nodes which are connected to first node, i have a static route and i can ping the gateway but when i try to ping 8.8.8.8 it wont connected, please make a video for us who has the same problem, thank you sir.
What will be the net policy? like we are change source IP 10.x.x.x to which ip?
I was looking for this solution- Thank you for sharing this video. Unfortunately, I am unable to ping the gateway from the windows host and viceversa. I tried disabling windows firewall and pinged to pne9 interface ip, but no luck. Could you please help me to know what could be the issue? Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Bikash, please make a video for how we can use wireshark of local machine to get capture of cloud nodes..
Thanks for comment.
i will cover in next video
Hi Vikash
Your videos are really helpful, I am trying to build a lab on Eve Ng gcp, I have a server and windows machine in my lab but I am not able to take RDP, could you help me out in this situation. Thanks
Thanks for Comment.
You need to allow the RDP traffic in GCP or You can do below action.
While login into eve-ng, Please select Html5 console and try to connect to device, it should work.

Hi Bikash ji, Very nice video, I am unable to find the /etc/rc.local file in my eveng gcp vm, can we create that file on our own.
For some reason it works in CIsco CSR1000 but not in Juniper Srx.
Hello vikash sir. I am not getting proper tutorial on juniper srx firewall. Will that be possible for you to make sir ?
Sure. i will try that, but not now.
At the end of your video you can see that the result is unsuitably slow. 15:05 You click away from the pages while they are still trying to load.
Why is it so slow? Can anything be done to fix this?
I've followed all you steps exactly and rechecked my work as well but I have no success connecting to the internet with the firewall. I can ping the gateway successfully with a Cisco Router but not the internet. And with the firewall, I can't even ping the gateway. Any suggestions? Also, the password for the palo alto image sometimes works and other times it doesn't...not sure why
same issue. i can ping gateway but can't ping internet
Thanks for comment.

Hi Bikash,
Good day, hope you are doing fine.
I am having trouble to go out of the internet from my lab.
I can ping the internal IP inside eve-ng but when i source it with pnet1 and pnet 9 it says unreachable

Hello,
Looks like some issue configuration or might be some connectivity issue with VM
