Installing EVE-NG in Google Cloud

I wanted to give you a look at a cost effective alternative for creating a home lab that you maybe haven’t considered. If you don’t have a powerful server you can use for virtualization and emulation, Google Cloud Platform could be an answer to this problem.
GCP provides new customers with $300 in free credits to spend on Google Cloud, which is good for 90 days. I’ll explain how this works and show you how to get started, and also walk through installing EVE-NG Community edition inside of Google Cloud as a virtual machine.

Great video, i followed the guide and installed eve-ng in gcp. How can i deploy ISO image on windows server running in eve-ng. I want to connect the iso image to windows server running in eve-ng to install the cisco DNCM.?
Any thoughts?

@Charles Judd - Thanks for great video, I am exactly following your steps, however after running bash script and command "shutdown -r now" my VM never connect to SSH, infact i can't even ping the public ip after shutdown. I am wondering what could be the issue here?

Now that Ubuntu 16.04 is not officially available on GCP - How to create the custom image with VMx Enabled? When you create custom image it defaults to Ubuntu 18.04 and Community edition works only with 16.04 currently.

After Rebooting the VM.. I am not able to SSH into the VM and it is stuck in "Establishing connection to SSH Server"..Any advice on this

I had the same problem, I realised it's because I installed dockers from the pro version onto the community version. hence it no longer able to turn on for me :-(

Hello Charles, I did deploy EVE-NG pro to GCP using this video. I'm got this email from Google Cloud Platform/API Trust & Safety Team and my VM got suspended - We've detected that your Google Cloud Project My First Project (id: exalted-altar-3xxxxx) is engaging in cryptocurrency mining, resulting in the suspension of all project resources displaying this behavior. Do you know how to best secure the VM on google cloud?
