Seems like more and more golf instruction is converging on the central theme of shallowing in transition. This has been my sole focus over the last month and it has made a major difference. I use a stop and go drill to accomplish this and can hit the ball as far as with my full fluid swing. Now the key is getting the shallowing feel into one fluid swing motion. Easier said than done. This drill may really help. Thanks, as always, Chris.
Hey Chris! Great video. I tried this out on the range today, and I got some awesome feedback with straighter shots and a more relaxed swing and rotation. Will definitely keep thinking about the movement of my club head!
This is one of the best drills I've ever come across. Immediately gives me a perfect feel for shallowing the club and a great release. I've been trying to find this for years! Thanks!
I'm working on taking this to the range and am having good success with wedges through 5 iron. However longer clubs and driver are really tough for me to get this feeling on. Maybe my takeaway is already a bit flat...addressing this same idea with driver would be an interesting video! Thanks for the great content.
Well done indeed! Great drill for me as well. It's a drill that should be implemented right away for the new golfers. This concept is often overlooked and in some cases never taught by the best teachers.
Good tip, been working on a shallow plane for a few weeks, much better striking,a lot less 'over the top' and fewer pulls and slices.I notice Sergio has a very narrow stance unlike most other tour players, any reason for this Chris?
Chris, recently found and subscribed to your channel. Does the physical height of a golfer influence the plane? I played with a shorter man yesterday and all his shots flew no more than about one foot off the ground!

One of your best tips, at least for me ☺️

I remember you tauhgt higher handle position last year. very hard to learn.
+Youngsun Kim hi, I don't recall ever doing a video suggesting the handle should be very high at impact
sorry. I mean hands position at address. I often see sergio's. I think it increases lag.
Nice way for me to hit push fades but could work for someone as a idea of better movement thanks!
no drop at all on the swing demo, your swing just like your regular swing. :)
Absolutely, I don’t shallow the club well in my swing at all.... the info is still correct though 👍👍
Hey Chris, the drop really help me to come from the inside easily. thanks Chris!
Sergio little hard man Garcia. Hard in Spanish is golf
malaska move
Exactly. I tried the malaska move like that and have been successful
