UI UX defines a product every single second the product is used for. And OOS11 UI was an aesthetic paradise. The font, the transitions, the icons. It had just the right amount of customizations. Sure, OOS13's base code might be more sorted out and stable but it can never justify the mess OPPO has made of OOS13's UI.
I think OnePlus is known for their Simplicity and Orginality. After the merge with Colour Os it feels kinda heartbreaking for the Og old users who felt that grief that Oxygen Os isn't the same as it used to be. The device feels more likely to be an Oppo device. But really miss those good old days with user experience we had with Oxygen OS, really wish that Oxygen Os gets back the same as it was but we all know that change is the part of life. We should learn to accept the fact that the things we love often disappoint us sometimes but we love anyway afterall.✨
No mention of the fact that they removed the ability to change Bluetooth devices from the volume slider. This was quite useful since you could change your media output from the lock screen.
umm, tried oxygen os 12 after much peer pressure for testing 5g speed on my 8T, next day had oxygenos 13 waiting to be installed. Did that and it was pretty much the worst mistake of my life. Downgrading to 12 and then to 11 , restoring all backup(in zip format and then unzipping) took me 4 hours. I m in no way saying that oos13 is bad, its just after oos11 there isn't ONEPLUS in oxygen os anymore, its Oppo, the icons, the extra features which others might find useful , i personally felt i was making my 40k INR phone feel like a 20-25k one. Sticking to oos 11 at the expense of no 5G. but its so worth it. EDIT: just went through the comments and found people thinking the same. ONEPLUS's decision was the worst, idc for whatever the F reason they did it, it sucks so bad.
Always 11 because obviously its not some chinese os looking similar like colors os realmeui etc, 11 is clean and unique with great performance and obviously camera is better on 11 in my 9 pro imo so never gonna update to 13

And next year i am going to buy a pixel phone because i want clean ui. and OnePlus was given that but not now. but i could not got back to oxygen os 11. I held of updating to android 12 & oxygen os 12. Feels like a brand new phone. Although I prefer the look of Oxygen OS 11 the features on 13 are great.

I really love update on OOS 13, but it will be great if OnePlus (or Oppo) bring icon of OOS 11 and font consistency of several widgets and styling. Because the fonts are mixed between Oppo font and OnePlus font. It's great OS but poor implementation of design aesthetic

oxygen os 13 removed the iconic calculator trick which showed never settle on calculating 1+ =. It had been an iconic feature in oneplus phones and with oxygen os 13 its gone now, completely gone.

It's Oxygen OS 11 vs Color OS 13. As a OnePlus fan boy, I still remember when OnePlus used to be light, fast and stable OS. For my OnePlus 7t I've left color os 12 and went with Crdroid 9. It's been amazing fast, light and stable but it doesn't have the same class as Oxygen OS. RIP Oxygen OS. You will be missed dearly.

It depends on the device,10 series would run oxygen os 13 better than 8 and 9 series as the os is optimised for 10 series more personal opinion may differ from ppl to ppl

I have also noticed an improvement in battery life. no green lines on the display. only thing is the camera, I preferred in Oxygen11, had more neutral and natural colors. so far I have not found any problems or defects in the Oxygen13 update.
I couldn't agree more for the gaming performance. Ever since oos12/13. The gaming performance is horrendous and the cpu usage goes whack and the gpu usage becomes alot lower.
I remember selling my OnePlus 6 after 3 days because I found Oxygen-OS so boring and empty of options. Today I think that if I had to leave Samsung one day, it would be for OnePlus and its new Oxygen-OS.

I am surprised no one noticed this bug yet, on OOS 13 9RT when you capture 4K videos the colors looks fine and normal on OnePlus gallery app, but when watch that video on Google Photos or Google files the video colors looks oversaturated, i thought it must be Google bug or something, then i uploaded the video on youtube to see actual colors, i was surprised that the colors are looking oversaturated. The default font on OxygenOS 12 was the main reason why I've been using OxygenOS 11 for the entire time. Also UI in generell was a lot better but the 13 version doesn't seem too bad

The reason why battery life is better on OxygenOS 13 is because you have an option to disable high performance mode and it's not forced

Good choice shifting man. Updated my phone to os12 and got pink line on my display. Would have had to pay 14k for screen replacement if not for me taking care of my phone with good optimum care and begging to get it replaced for free.

Everyone always skips over the fact that they removed most of the off screen gestures that were present in 11. The ones they kept eye severely limited and unable to be changed. Why would they do that?
In the Coloros Version of China, There are a few additional widgets available such as a Parking Location Tracker, Package Tracker, Earbuds Battery etc and Some Apps too like Reader App. Could you do a Video on how to get these features in India?

Same here. I had my OnePlus for only one week before OS12 launched, I updated like an idiot and now I absolutely hate my phone. I bought it through T-Mobile, so I can't downgrade to OS11 until this piece of $hit is paid off 😩
@@scottkoenigsmark5739 what do u mean u cant? i simply instaled a previous update from android 11 following a some guide on yt. took me a while but yeah no root nothing in setting, just download and instal but its factory wipe and after u do that u can always updated and get back trash android 12 ;p, i used a12 for 3montth i hated it so much, then got android 13 was a bit better but yeah a11 is way better so fuck these updates just messed ups, prob next phone will be samsung on nothing

As a OnePlus fan boy, I still remember when OnePlus used to be light, fast and stable OS.
For my OnePlus 7t I've left color os 12 and went with Crdroid 9. It's been amazing fast, light and stable but it doesn't have the same class as Oxygen OS.

OS13 is actually smoother than OS12 according to my experience on 9RT

Custom ROM Android 13 = 1.4GB ( Including Google apps and latest security patches, Light-Fast-Stable, All banking apps work out of the box)

It depends on the device,10 series would run oxygen os 13 better than 8 and 9 series as the os is optimised for 10 series more personal opinion may differ from ppl to ppl

I have also noticed an improvement in battery life. no green lines on the display. only thing is the camera, I preferred in Oxygen11, had more neutral and natural colors. so far I have not found any problems or defects in the Oxygen13 update.

I couldn't agree more for the gaming performance. Ever since oos12/13. The gaming performance is horrendous and the cpu usage goes whack and the gpu usage becomes alot lower.

I am surprised no one noticed this bug yet, on OOS 13 9RT when you capture 4K videos the colors looks fine and normal on OnePlus gallery app, but when watch that video on Google Photos or Google files the video colors looks oversaturated, i thought it must be Google bug or something, then i uploaded the video on youtube to see actual colors, i was surprised that the colors are looking oversaturated. Then i watch the video on PC with KMPlayer the colors were looking normal, then i watched the video on Windows Movies & TV app, and it looked oversaturated like google.

The default font on OxygenOS 12 was the main reason why I've been using OxygenOS 11 for the entire time. Also UI in generell was a lot better but the 13 version doesn't seem too bad
I still use oxygen OS 11 on my 8T . Its simple and fast to use. I prefer 11.
