Garcia plays to the level of her opponent. Can beat Swiatek but also will go three sets with number 500 in the world. I'm a fan of her, but it is a bit frustrating to see her inconsistency.
Day-um! Who is Taylah??? Fantastic performance! Certainly a moral victory if not a "W" on the tally sheet. Garcia is a tough opponent but she took her all the way.

Garcia can have tight matches against the Top 10 but also against those outside the top 500.... The serve and volley, super aggressive game that garcia plays is a double edged sword

Garcia can't play with fire like this in 2024. She ends 2023 very bad and this is not a solid performance. Preston showed good things.

à quelle heure garcia va apprendre à monter au filet et à quelle heure apprendre à ne pas s affaler pour jouer ses volées c dingue on dirait une 15/5 au filet elle est nulle zero alors qu elle a les moyens d apprendre à volleyer ..à part frapper y’a rien nada c le vide …. c juste lunaire elle cherche la complication alors qu il suffit de couvrir les zones après être monté et se faire plaisir en gg des points elle les perds tous ses points à la volée l entraîneur doit être limité c est pas possible

Elle se prend tout simplement des passing-shots au moment où elle est en train de monter, soit dans les pieds, soit en profondeur quand l'adversaire a un angle. Elle est à mon avis la joueuse qui tente le plus souvent de monter à la volée, et son jeu a de nouveau changé depuis début janvier (United cup) afin d'être moins prévisible : elle joue avec plus de sécurité en tenant l'échange au lieu de tenter en permanence le retour gagnant ce qui lui avait fait perdre trop de matchs en 2022. Mais psychologiquement, on voit qu'elle prend sur elle quand elle commence à moins bien jouer, car elle ne s'en sort qu'après avoir touché le fond jusqu'aux larmes, comme hier où elle était breakée dans le 3e set après avoir perdu facilement le 2e.
Garcia is pathetic
