    I feel like Frech really doesn’t possess the most power on her groundstrokes, but she’s really good at retrieving and keeping the ball deep, and she uses her opponents power really well. She’s the definition of a solid player. Love her

    Some people have a difficult time beating the players they supposed to beat. With Garcia, all the media hype was on Naomi so she (Caroline) played out of her mind without any pressure. This is the same problem I believe Sakkari has.

    In my point of view, GARCIA has a serious psychology problem. She think that she is a great tennis player and she only bases her game on her power shots. Firstable her condescendant attitude against her opponents make her thinking that she can beat all adversaries. At the end she looses. Today during this match her opponent hasn't any power like Garcia. But she has beaten her. In all games and all competitions you should use many strategies to win. if you put all your strategy in your power in tennis matchs, you can win one day, but another day you can loose..... For that strategy based only on power is problem for IGA SWATEK, SABALENKA, GARCIA etc.

    • @ericjerome860
      @ericjerome860 4 месяца назад

      No, it's the opposite. She lacks self-confidence and too often forgets that she normally has the level to beat a player above fiftieth place, even if the latter is playing the match of her life. Another of her faults is to rush and never try to rig the game by inventing an excuse to benefit from an additional break time. For example against Frech, she said in an interview that towards the end, she could no longer breathe properly (because of the stress). Other players, and we know them, would have called the doctor who would have taken their blood pressure, and so on. After winning ten points out of eleven in a row to find herself at 6-5 30-0, she lost eleven points out of thirteen and thus the match, making almost only mistakes. She got rid of the match.

    Hi, my name is Caroline Garcia. I am a super-athletic international tennis player who has been accorded near-superstar status for most of my career and is almost always highly seeded in the tournaments I enter, including Grand Slam events. Unfortunately, I always disappoint my fans by inexplicably losing to bottom-feeders, sometimes, as in this instance, in straight sets to the #70-ranked player in the WTA, a little-known Polish girl named Magdalena Frech. I have no explanation for why the profession thinks so highly of me when I always underperform. Perhaps I will have to seek a psychological trainer to understand why my results do not match my talent. See you at Roland Garros!

    Upset of the tourney on the women's side so far imo considering how well Garcia has been playing the past few weeks. What a let down after beating Osaka. Seems like Garcia couldn't find a first serve to save her life and Frech was getting everything back and placing it all so well. Frech seems like the reincarnation of Martina Hingis if she were still playing. Another Grand Slam, another disappointment for Garcia. She's still pretty young tho but she's on the cusp of becoming one of those players like Ons Jabeur and Elena Dementieva to be the most talented players never to win a GS. Any other great players who never won a GS y'all can think of?
