I honestly think something was taken from Atlantis or something and it might have to do with RiRi.. why else does it seem like they are chasing her. I don't think Namor is attacking Wakanda for no reason. I also think they'll have a true villain revealed. Rumor is, it'll be Dr. DOOM. So I have a feeling Namor and Wakanda will team up later.

Notice in the title card, it emphasizes “Wakanda Forever” over Black Panther. This is going to be about MORE than just Black Panther, but the Kingdom of Wakanda. It’s not a Black Panther film, but a Wakanda film. With the character gone…this IS the best way to go. I’m here for it.
black male heroes are so scarce, and purposefully so, that folks want the movie to be black panther 2 instead of an exploration of the fabulous country that is wakanda.
I'm expecting Riri to be American still and be a super genius, however in the MCU I'm predicting that instead of an MIT scholarship she's gonna get noticed by the Wakandans via one of their outreach centres that T'challa set up at the end of the first movie and maybe she is invited to a Wakandan school. And I think that will be how they build the friendship between Riri and Shuri.

We love y'all Mexicans. I just started following Tenoch Huerta, I didn't know him before but the scenes with him in this trailer look amazing. I'm sure he will be so great playing Namor and the Aztec/Maya costumes and influence look beautiful. I love Mexico and the historical culture. I can't wait to see African culture and Mexican culture come together.

One of the best trailers I've ever seen!!! The music, the scenes, the queen's emotional speech, the first image of Namor, Riri... but what broke me was the whispered Wakanda Forever....WHEW, CHILE!!!! There is power in whispers because sometimes they are louder than a roar.
Government want more Wakanda tech. That brought her over the edge she lost her husband and son and the States are only worried about more Wakanda tech. This could be leading into Armor Wars and Secret Wars.

T’Challa’s Mother (Ramonda) talks to I’m assuming the world council and she says her entire family is gone, I think she’s speaking of T’Chaka, T’Challa and Shuri. I believe the last shot of Black Panther is Shuri after Namor healing her back to life. I could be wrong but I think the phrasing of Kendrick’s line “And when I wake up,” was put there at the scene for a specific reason.

I think they will recast Tchalla eventually with some other multiverse Tchalla. I think for now, it's fine that Tchalla is not replaced. We get to mourn Chadwick Boseman in this film but eventually they will give us some multiverse Tchalla. Since they're bringing X-Men into the MCU, I want to see the Tchalla and Storm love story from the comics.
I feel you on the recast. I think a good way forward would be to have 616 T’Challa pass away and be replaced with Shuri or Okoye. Then later down the line they can introduce a T’Challa variant w/ a different actor. That’s the best way to honor Chad while continuing the character.
No, the best way is what they're presumably doing now, no recast to avoid little internet soldiers to spend more time comparing the actors, Shuri taking over and baby Chadwick/T'Challa will ultimately take over in the future. Best tribute ever having on onscreen blood taking over.
I'm guessing Riri was recruited by Shuri as part of their outreach program. She saw how talented and smart she was and decided to provide her with all their resources.
The suit at the end was Killmonger's BP suit. Part of me is hoping he lived at the end of the first film afterall and he is brought back from the brink of death in this film to take the BP mantle to save Wakanda. His redemption serving as a lasting legacy of T'Challa
It looks like they're doing some justice to the movie and pay respect to Chadwick. I'm all for it!!

A good trailer is like a good meal. When it's really good all you can do is eat in silence, nod or shake your head, and say mhm. This trailer is that. Instead of feeding my stomach, it fed my soul. RIP Mr. Boseman.

This looks so beautiful and will be so cathartic for many of us to see. I've watch this trailer over 4 times and it hits me deeply each time. Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) gave me chills with her speech. R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman. I hope we'll see a new T'Challa (#RecastTChalla) someday. Until then, Wakanda Forever!!
A movie that Chadwick would be very proud of, and this will be my favorite this year. A strong cast, beautiful performance art and their battles.

I love the Dr. Doom plot, and I think it’s a larger message about colonizers setting the brown and black communities against each other.
The larger message has already been established as about a strong family builds strong nations you must protect that lead to one of unity in Endgame where everybody was helping defend Wakanda from a greater foe.
@@Byronic19134 that’s one of them, and it’s obvious from previous films. It doesn’t negate what I’m saying. Disney has been going for the jugular with socio-political commentary. Ryan Coogler is one of the bests to do it. Think about the underlying themes in Falcon and Winter Soldier, they’ve been bolder in their choices as of late.

I agree tbh. I can't see either of the two deeply cultural nations in this one ending up as villainous. They'll probably end with both of them having some understanding and a bigger actual villain will be introduced.
The shift of focus from Black Panther to the whole nation of Wakanda is incredible, and powerful. That alone, that this is a nation in mourning that finds solidarity with each other, absolutely brought me to tears.
In the comics Namor and Black Panther were fierce rivals who fought a great war that prelude to Wakanda's destruction.

As a latino, I'm so glad for this movie. We minorities have had to deal with so many tropes and things to be "better". There's this pressure to not fail. To end the tropes of missing father, ghetto living, education, and so on. But what happens when you work your whole life to do good and be right. You're a present father, a working mother, get that education, sweat blood and tears to "make it".
But then you still have a loss. Still lose a loved one. Still get a door slammed in your face. It's something my mother had to deal with, and I had to deal with when we lost my brother. She worked so hard to get us to where we are. She scrubbed toilets and washed dishes so that her kids will have a better life. And then still lost. That grief, that weight of, "what else do I have to lose?". That was perfectly capture by the queens one line. And then the world still asks for more.
It's a powerful message to all of us that are working to thrive in this world when you're knocked down badly. How do you go on?
How do you really get to feeling that "everything is gonna be alright".

Good trailer but I still hate how they've chosen To make the actor bigger than the character. T'Challa just came back from the Dead in Endgame but now he's dead all over again. I swear T'Challa and Superman officially have the two most incomplete stories from these universes.
In the backdrop of the opening teaser/trailer visual with *Lupita Nyong'o* , that appears to be a Mesoamerican/Aztec or Mayan temple or ruin _(reminiscent of the beachside ruins in Tulum or of Chichen Itza)._
Not sure if that is supposed to be a Wakanda scene or, more reasonably(?), a scene from where Namor and his people are from...Guess we'll also see once the movie is released.

When Queen Ramonda Talks about stating her whole family is gone, that was the time of the blip(The Great dusting). We all knew T'challa was one of the many millions in the universe who got dusted and Shuri as well. So in the stead, Queen mother took over so her people would have some sort of pillar while the world was coming to that new sense of normal after Thanos and hoped her family would return to her if the avengers succeeded in reversing the dusting. So now things are somewhat normal, T'challa has now passed and now the Atlantians with Namor at the helm see a weakened country n judging from the comics he wanna take over.
This is just a teaser, imagine when the trailer drops. You can feel T'challa's influence and the impact that his life had on the country and people. The same goes for the Late Chadwick Boseman, his presence was felt in the teaser and the emotions displayed convey that. He may be gone but this movie cements his legacy and will be a celebration of his life and hope for the future

I'd always hoped that Danai Gurira _("Okoye")_ would have whispered into the ears of Ludwig Göransson and Ryan Coogler to get them to slip several iconic *Thomas Mapfumo* , Chimurenga, Shona/mbira type sounds into these MCU/Black Panther movie soundscapes 🎶. Africa is a enormous continent, but what a surprise it would be to hear traditional mbira/Thomas Mapfumo/Chimurenga classic sounds in these movies.

I’m thinking that scene with Angela Basset(Ramonda) is a flashback to the “blip”. Key words, my whole family…. But Shuri is still here. But she was blipped along with T’Challa.

Chadwick and RDJ are my favorite actors and the characters they played. When Ironman died I cried when Chadwick died I mourned 😫😫. Chadwick as Black Panther was the most amazing cast choice… I glad they’re not replacing him and including T’challa death into the movie idk who or what killed him but this is gonna make me cry more than endgame 🫡🙏🏻😫

I think Naymor will be tied to Wakanda in the same type of way Killmonger was. I get wanting a T'Challa, but i dont think you can recast that role right now. Not with the impact Chadwick left, it is S tier casting. Like RDJ or Willem DaFoe as Green Goblin. This opens up a lot for storytelling. It is a real bummer we won't see Chadwick in a Secret Wars or leading the Avengers.

When the Queen is talking about her entire family being gone... I think this takes place during the snap. Everyone forgets Shuri and T'Challa were both snapped. We never saw what happened to Wakanda during that time. That is what I think we are seeing at first.

I am HYPED. This is the movie I want to see most this year, hands down. Ryan Coogler, Black Panther, mourning Chadwick, the rest of the cast, Namor, the story, the visuals, continuing the MCU, I NEED it
I think because this is a teaser, some of the scenes in regards to mourning are of two different times - post blip and post hulk snap.
When Queen Romanda says that all her family is gone, that is post blip...Shuri and T'Challa were both snapped.
Now looking at Nakia in the beginning, five years of locks were happening.
Something to think about, how much did Okoye know about Atlantis given what she said in the holo conference call in End Game...

I believe Ryan Coogler said in an interview that the whole plot of the movie would revolve around not knowing who could be Black Panther, so I could see a plot with multiple people being BP before landing on one person.
I started crying when I saw the mural of T'challa. It hits different because we lost T'challa but we really lost Chadwick.
Yall do know that Shuri gonna visit Chadwick in the ancestor realm and then became the new black panther right ...the highlight of the movie everybody in the theater 😭
First Phase 4 trailer I’ve re watched over and over
The trailer was much better than I expected but I'm still in the boat that Tchalla should've been recast. I know Shuri became BP for a short stint but Tchalla is BP and it's his franchise. If Tobey or Tom died, they never gonna have a Peter Parker again in live action? Or Keaton or Bake died, no more Batman movies? We all acknowledge his passing his tragic but retiring the character permanently is not the way to go about honoring him

As much as I'd like more T'challa, I understand their reasoning. This gives them to tell a heck of a story. Let's see how it goes. Remember, there is a multiverse, so anything is possible, even the return of the King at some future point.

One reaction I have been waiting on.
I love this take, but Chadwick’s performances were ineffably powerful as T’Challa that I can’t fathom them recasting. There are incredible actors who still just couldn’t do it justice because they would always be compared to Chadwick’s T’Challa. It wouldn’t be fair to the new actor to try living up to a legend who has passed with millions of devoted fans. This teaser trailer was like a memorial to Chadwick and T’Challa. It tore my heart to shreds hearing the songs, watching the stunning scenes, feeling the pain and strength in Angela Basset’s speech and processing the loss while being hyped for the movie. From this teaser, I can already tell Ryan Coogler has done a phenomenal job and this will be one of the best movies this year, if not THE best, and hopefully it will win some awards too because it truly deserves to.
the reshoots maybe because they decided to go with Killmonger... he is royalty, he can claim the throne and hold the mantle of BP (my theory)

My fiance has a great idea to bring in one of the biggest characters that we all been craving to see on the big screen in the MCU. Hear me out. Post scene of Wakanda Forever... You see the queen walks in with Suri (still dressed as the Black Panther). Suri stops mid conversation with a look of confusion, as she looks straight in disbelief at the throne. The queen also shifts her gaze to the throne, looking annoyed... she says, "you have no place here girl, be gone!" Next scene pans, wide angle, shows the throne with the huge windows behind it... But you cannot see the throne itself. All you see are high heels and long legs. then you hear, "This IS where I belong!.. Mother-in-law!".... The figure's eyes turns white while huge dark clouds brew in the background with violent lightning crashing down. Fade to black.

Iron Heart makes a device that detects vibrainium and some is located in Atlantis. They say Doctor Doom starts the war between the two....Riri is not from Wakanda
I'm kind of hoping there's 2 black Panthers in this one since neither have the power of the flower since the plant was destroyed, so it's Shuri because of her intelligence and m'baku for his strength. Then it is settled later.

This trailer does look amazing and gives You chills. But because I grew up reading the comic book Black Panther. I still feel, how can You have a Black Panther movie without a T'challa. That's what the adventures of the Black Panther was about ...T'challa . Chadwick Boseman was a great actor. He played the part of T'challa well. He made You like the main character. Which really gave the movie it's heart. But Chadwick Boseman was just a great actor anyway and from what I heard an all-around cool guy in real life. And He always played well in the Movies He stared in. Think of all the great movie roles he played. Thats why He was such a great lost. We lost one of Our Finest Actors. It's wonderful that they are paying respect to Him in this Movie. But I still Hope in the future they do recast T'challa. I really think he would want that. Mr. Chadwick played some very important roles in his career. James Brown, Thurgood Marshall, Jackie Robinson, and T'challa. Roles He knew that had a powerful impact on his community. Thats why when he played these roles, He gave it his 100%. The Black Panther is really Our Superman. I know He was for Me as a kid.I think Chadwick felt the same. I really believe Because of the powerful inspirational roles He would go for . He would want The Hero T'challa "The Black Panther" to continue. To Chadwick Boseman. BIG FACTS💯💯💯 Like don't use his passing to sickness as a plot device. I know the trailer got people in their feelings and most might not agree but you can't tell the story of Wakanda without T'Challa.....period. How would people feel if that never recasted Spiderman, Superman, James Bond...etc🤔 Make it make sense. This doesn't make sense at all💯💯💯

I think we also need to consider the in-universe timing of T'Challa dying. He was snapped out of existence for 5 years, and almost as soon as he's back he gets killed. That must make the impact of the loss so much worse for his mother and Wakanda as a whole.
I think T'Challa will be recasted in a later phase.. especially when they dive more into different Universes.. but they couldn't do it with THIS version of Black Panther because of what Chadwick did and the impact he had as the First Black Panther movie ever. That legacy is untouchable and it looks like they honor him with this movie. The King lives.
