  • This recombinant DNA technology lecture explains about the basics of recombinant DNA technology processes and the mechanism behind recombinant DNA production. It also explains about the process of recombinant protein production using recombinant DNA technology in industries.     One minor error I saw in the video, the RE EcoRI cleaves "GAATTC" at "G/AATTC" leaving one 5'-end G.

    Shomu da...MCS and SM r overlapped into the vector and if the plasmid receives the gene of interest...it will disrupt the antibiotic resistance property so it won't be able to grow on that selectable marker containing plate...only plasmid with out gene of interest (GOI) will grow...then how we will isolate the GOI containing cells ...? We'll only be able to see those cells that did not receive the GOI...plz explain it...

      No. Genetic Engineering is a very broad topic. Everything comes under it.
