    I’m not going to do well at explaining this but I’ll try, because I think it’s important. There are bucket loads of “homesteaders” on RUclips. Only a few of them for me have “the Rhodes feel”. Now I’m sure some of that has to do with the blessing of skill they have to catch it on film. BUT. You guys are already there. You’re not even settled yet and already have “the feel”. You could be buffaloing all of us but there is a genuineness to you. Once you’re settled and creating content specific to you guys I think the sky is the limit. It’s so encouraging to see you sit in front of the camera and say “I’m not going to sit and hide why we are doing this. I want my family back.” The way you two look at each other when those words are coming out of your mouth shows that there was a struggle and you manned up took responsibility and you’re steering the boat back on course. When you speak those words she is looking at you with respect as you are talking because of it. Anyway. I could go on and on. There can only be one “Justin’s family”. I can’t wait to see the awesomeness that will come from Ben’s! As long as you produce content I’ll be watching. Thanks for letting us come along.

    I’m in tears Meg and Ben...you said you want your family back. So do I but I’m 65 and my husband will be 69 next month. We raised them up in the way of the Lord and I even pulled them out of public school to homeschool them. But my family is so messed up and distant! My adult children married those who were unequally yoked as the scriptures say! Which has caused so much heartache! 3 of them have gotten into things that they should of never touched...alcohol for one and other things that have tore them down. I don’t see them or talk to them anymore! Which is very hard, but we had to, to keep our sanity! So be grateful that you are doing whatcha your doing. I wish I knew what I know today. We would be doing the same thing. There’s so much out there to kill, steal and destroy! I do have one daughter that is trying so hard to protect her family! She is homeschooling her babies. We are close to each other. So continue on your journey and protect those sweet little ones. You’re doing the right thing! Blessings and prayers Jan

    I just saw you the other day on the video of you homestead sitting for the Rhodes. And when Justin said that when he came home you had done more then just watch the place, that you had actually made it flourish. That's when I looked up your channel and subscribed. I think that you have such a wonderful family and a great outlook on life. Justin Rhodes and his wonderful family have really helped you by you helping him. I do believe that you will get a lot of new subscribers now. He is one of the best friends a homestead channel can have in my opinion. I think you have an awesome wife also. She always seems to be smiling and happy and exuberant about life. That's a good sign that she has an awesome partner in life!😊😊

    This is the first video of yours that I've watched. But I watch Justin every day. I remember when you worked in the garden and how eager and willing your children were. I also watch Art and Bri and have seen that there are a lot of empty farms in the area. I have been to the Asheville area several times and love it there. I want you to consider settling down there. You will have friends, help and community built in. Farther north, too much snow; farther south, too hot and humid.
    Since you are kind of unscheduled, just throw it out and settle down for the holidays...in North Carolina. 😉.

    I was taken with how well Ben and Justin worked together. He and Jonah can do a lot, but Ben was more like a brother from another mother. They fed off each other's knowledge and really lit up with joy. So happy for your family with this week in NC. Prayers for safe travel and more grand adventures as you meet other "family" you have out there.

    I know exactly how you guys feel. We hosted them for 3 days on the GAFT and my wife and I spent a long weekend with them this spring when we went up for the Mother Earth News Fair. They are one of the most encouraging and inspiring families you will ever meet! They are true to life - what you see on their videos is really how they live off the camera as well. My family is blessed and honored to call the Rhodes family friends. On another note, if you guys come to Eastern NC, let us know, would love to meet up with you!

    I myself never had any doubts about the Rhodes family. I only wish they lived next door or a cross the street from me. I too know not just the work they do on the farm but how they are with their family values...and that I keep coming back to visit their website. When i was very young I always wanted to live on a farm where I grew up in Ohio and have animals and a farm family but it never happened.. I am grateful for having the internet and Utube so I am able to follow Justin and Becky and Art and Briana and have visits with them once in a while. God Bless. I live alone so I enjoy celebrating their joys I.E. birthdays etc a feeling like I am a part of a family since I really do not have any family anymore. Thanks so much!

    I completely agree with you! My husband and I who watch every Justin Rhodes video saw the ones your family is apart of and were so excited! We could see the connection and the extra energy, excitement, and love from 2 families coming together. We can see how happy Justin was to work with you. If I could go back and redo life. This is how I would raise my family. Shake off all that is not necessary that draws you away from the foundation. A strong foundation lasts a lifetime. Congratulations on finding your truth and our blessings and thoughts are with you on your journey. 💗

    It's so wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the area so much and you are the next in a long line of folks who attest to the genuine nature of the Rhodes family. I'm a premium member of theirs and I always value and enjoy being able to learn from and talk to them. We live in Raleigh right now, but will likely be relocating up near them next year because we love it up there so much! Who knows... maybe we will all be neighbors one day ;)

      Chelsea Hartweg
      Hello Chelsea, ( hope I'm not intruding), How does one go about subscribing to Justin Rhodes premium? Is it something just for homesteading? I'd appreciate it, if you could share. Thank you❤
      Have a blessed day!🙌

    • @chelseahartweg2938
      @chelseahartweg2938 6 лет назад +1

      No intrusion at all! He opens up registering for his membership area twice a year (in spring and fall, so you'd have to wait until spring at this point). He has a general membership as well as a premium membership. General members get access to the member area on his website (LOTS of amazing extra teaching content there) and the member facebook group, which is a really wonderful community of folks all posting questions and helping each other (and the Rhodes chime in a lot too). The premium members such as myself get access to that as well as priority email responses, a phone number to text him for help, and a twice-monthly group webinar, where we all hop into a zoom meeting and ask questions and help each other. I really can't speak highly enough about the whole set up. I've learned SO much, and, more than that, I feel a part of a community and don't feel like I'm the only weirdo who loves this stuff.
      The content he posts is generally along the same veins as what is in the vlogs (mostly homesteading, but with occasional healthy living and such), but the webinars and emails/texts we are free to ask him whatever we like, and questions have ranged from detailed homesteading things, to balancing family stuff, to RUclips, to homesteading with chronic illness... it's really pretty open-ended.
      I think it's worth every penny and then some, and can't recommend it enough :)

    I do not know if you can get all of what you all have or are really seeking in California anymore as there are a lot of bad ideas in which Real Family Ideals are frowned against in California in at least the last 30 years and I have been the last 5 years with my young adult son here in Northwest Arizona less toxic to real family life that you are talking about here than California had become like losing my marriage in California I want my son to be able to have a real family life like yours and the Rhodes family . I love watching your videos as I was living in Bakersfield for the last 11 years from 2002 to 2013 in fact I also started homeschooling my son in 2004 there we first used the Charter school on Chester avenue Valley Oaks right next to The Pioneer Village as well my completed his boy scouts to make it to the rank of Eagle Scout through our Church St. Philip the Apostle Roman Rite Catholic Church at 7100 Stockdale Highway the last public school he went to was Castle elementary school in southwest Bakersfield . Family values are the greatest reason to quit the toxicity of the rat race I am Angelica Speakman and my son is James Braden and we are in Golden Valley , Arizona with my mother hopefully and prayerfully I will be getting my online childrens clothing business going really soon so that I will get my own homestead right here with a tiny house on it like Better Together Life is doing in Texas .

      Good woman. Don't ever give up! Live to have only the regrets you didn't get to do.
