As much time as it took to find the issue you saved someone else alot of time (this guy after 4hours of scratching head). Appreciate the video and keep talking about the inner workings of bikes. So much information in a short time 👍
Just struggled for about an hour with these stupid things, like yours, mine had a plastic washer in between which bound it up, and the cables were just fine. Got it fixed though, glad to be done!
I threw on some aftermarket grips the other day on my new ape hangers and it’s not snapping back I’ll try the aftermarket grips that were on the bike (they were working) or even the stock ones to see . I don’t care at this point just want to ride 🤣 lol . Grips can always get changed haha
Just bought a 1974 Honda cb 360 and the throttle wasn't snapping back, pretty much had the same issue as you. mirror was too tight and a gasket was jamming the grip. Thanks for the vid saved me so much time.
yup i know the feeling lol, 550 was fully cafe’d then sold. currently rebuilding a b1 zx9r big bore and parts are def a challenge lol. all worth it in the end though!
Hello, i have the same problem. The original grips i had no problems with. Today i put on the Rizoma grips, and it takes just a while to snap back. I saw that the gas cable was very tight, which made it also quite hard to put the new grips on. What can i do?
they have adjusters to where they connect to the throttle body/carb. they’re nuts on the cable itself, like how you would adjust your brake or clutch cable

This is the same grips I have that just scared me to death today. Thanks for sharing!
I had the same issue. I finally ripped the whole thing off after sitting for a long time. Great job.

Might be a little long since posted up but I ride a kz400 and was tryna figure this out. I needed this.
hey glad i could help! i made this video as a forum reply lol, glad that it’s helping people out though!
Lol bro half my bike is aftermarket at this point. Vulcan 750 oem parts are rare and crazy expensive for the broken parts.

I replaced my cables with new ones and as soon as I adde the push cable my throttle sticks
so how do you adjust throttle and return cables

Supposed to be showing how to fix it! Why the video to tell what?
