Thanks for all who visited . Sorry to tell you Bob passed away last May 2018 from an unknown blood clot. i am glad he helped so many he loved his motorized bike. His Mom
Man!!! Only guy on internet that explains how to seat the throttle slide in the carb. I spent all day cussin everything. Video straightened me right out!!! Sorry to hear of his passing , but he was MY ANGEL today!!! Thanks!!!
How Wonderful of him to share his knowledge to help others 😇😇 Thank you for letting us know he passed. I'm truly sorry for your loss. I'm sure he's still doing Great things 😉
This man is awesome he helped me I watched his vid and I got my bike running great and he was right don't force it. Before I watched his video I was messing with my bike for 2hrs then when I watched the video I got it running in about 3 minutes. R.I.P
Bro. You taking the time to make this video is so helpfull to a guy like me who is flying by the seat of his pants trying to fix something because he cant afford to pay a more knowledgeable guy to do it for him! Thank you
Best video that Ive seen how to hook up the throttle cable. Other videos dont cover the details or they even do it wrong after watching your video. Thanks and great video.
absolutely nobody I contacted absolutely nobody I tried and tried and tried to get in touch with people I even looked at probably I don't know how many dozens of RUclips videos not one person had mentioned that little nub that needs the lineup with the Piston piece that goes inside there in all these people who posted these videos on how to fix your carb we're actually bragging on how much of a professional bike builder they were. no this was my first bike my first built so I figured it out it just goes to show he has a drive and you have a little bit of Common Sense you can do anything
Life saver had gave up on my bike but after watching this video got it back running i couldn't figer it out and it was something so simple but inportant.Only a mechanic would know and would charge u alot and not tell u what the problem was. Thanks brah and R.I.P
Thank you for this video! I had rubbed my fingers raw trying to get the carberator end screwed on🤦♂️ I had it backwards the whole time! The first two videos were garbage, yours nailed it! Thanks again
Couldn’t find a video to help me with this certain part of the carburettor, and i’m sure i’m not the only one.. This is the only in depth proper video that helped me... Thanks Bob, and may you rest in peace brother🙏
yo bob king this video really help me my throttle was stuck open and couldnt figure out how to fix it instead of paying someone to help me some guy told me my brand new carb was bad lol this video fixed my issue in 4.47 and rewatched a couple times haaaaaaaa thanks man kindly diablo
Sorry to hear about Bobs passing. I had this exact problem and knew nothing about the issue I was having or what to do. This was a massive help and my bike is humming again!!! Thanks you
Had come by this video having had issues with my carb after re-installing it when I gave it a good clean. I reckon Bob had hit the nail on the head in my case as I may not have installed the throttle valve correctly when putting the carb back on, as the throttle were sticking and not snapping back at all :D Cheers for the vid Bob, and RIP.
Thank you Bob for help from beyond the vale i was stuck trying to figure out this issue for a good while i just could not find the info on it till tonight ❤ R.i.P my taughts and prayers are with ur family, Dublin Ireland June 2023
Thank you so much I have a Honda 70 cc crf and I had to clean the carburetor but I didn't pay attention to how the throttle came out so thank you again, I appreciate the help!
Man, I love friggin RUclips! You probably just saved me a couple hundred bucks! Thank you very much pal. 2024 and Bob is still helping us out! Edit…. I just noticed the comments about his passing. I’m very sorry, this world is cruel and unfair sometimes. Seems like we’re losing all the good ones
Thank you so much for making this video I didn't understand why my dirt bike would be revved up every time I would start it and not idle down and now I do but then thank you very much
The nut on top of the carburetor helps with cable slack.. Watching this video helped me I saw that and it help me Thanks.. Any other advise is helpful I’m new to motorized bicycles....
thanks mate , i wish i watched this before i took my bike out, a few scrapes and cuts later, all because i played with carb and didnt reset the cable in the carb, .....Great video mate very helpful
Omg first ride float cracked took my wood burner melted seams .held down with rock in gas for a week good to go. Second trip 9 miles out throttle cable kept popping out of long nut before the bend screw going into housing part with kill switch. Tried everything even using thin curtain for piece and moldable plastic .I wAs rdy to drive Dr off rock at the bay. I have watched 3 months videos nobody helped .typing in everything I could think to find fix.😣 my nephew just got 49c.f. July same thing but somehow found your video all in layman's terms and sent me link. I even said no I'll just give it to you.glad I listened when he said no aunt even old ladies can understand this guy. So here I go .was even gonna try my throttle off 1949 tillerr. Wish me luck.hopefully don't end up swimming.ThAnx eh .
Michael Moreno i dont know how you managed to get the spring stuck but one way or another youre going to have to get that it out, preferable undamaged so you dont have to order a replacement spring (would be cheap anyways but still a pain). in the event that you do need to order a new one, you wouldnt be able to slide the needle into the carb with the old spring lodged in there anyways
This exactly what’s going on with mines I haven’t drove it in weeks it was really cold in my garage it’s brand new I go to ride it today I notice the cap thing it’s off I couldn’t ride it idk how to fix it hopefully this video works for me tamar thank u 😕😔I don’t even know how that happen it been sitting
Hello sir, when I start my bike it just stays on a rev on neutral, the new throttle cable is a little bit shorter than the one I replaced it with, do you reckon the length of the cable is too short and making it rev when I kick start it?
My carb's barrel is stuck really tight. Now how can i get the barrel out without damaging it? I have tried pulling the cable but still can't get it out. Have also put some oil int it but no joy. What can I do? Thanks in advance.
it almost seems as though my slide is too big for the carb! it sticks.. i mean it REALLY sticks. i have to yank the thing out even if i don't sink it in all the way. (even when there is a couple mm of the slide showing at the top of the carb) i've tried using petrol to lubricate it, but it's not like it's just sticking or catching on something.. it completely jams up. no signs of obvious scratches where it would be catching on anything. I've taken it apart and the brake cable is straight and the spring is straight also. The thing is REALLY sticking. No movement at all. Any ideas? Thanks for everything you've helped me with so far!
sam charlton try measuring it with a caliper (of you have one. it could be bent? those 4 slits, 1 of them could be pushed in enough to hinder it. or its a manufacturing flaw. you could try a little sand paper, JUST MAKE SURE TO CLEAN THOROUGHLY after sanding. good luck Bob.
Hey Bob, Have you figured out a way to stop this from happening after opening up the throttle all the way? It seems that my slide will come up and then get caught and never come down unless I open up the carb and reset it. Thank you for posting this video btw -- it's gotten my bike up and running.
zeemonkey187 it may be that when you open your throttle all the way it's pulling that gold Barrel up too far and then catching on the pin where it's supposed to slide up and down with that little copperknob give me want to adjust your carb so that that little copper tube doesn't go up as high bye adjusting your cable I'm going to cable screws that go on the outside the cable housing and also the cable housing to your throttle that way it won't open up your throttle all the way you might also want to try to adjust your PIN it could also be the flow it could be a number of things so check that you know with the barrel first to see you don't take it take it off and just it and see how far up the barrel goes and see if it's catching then if it's not catching there I would check the pin and actually take the bot take the bowl off and look at the float cuz it may be catching it in there the pin

Just so frustrating how it worked perfectly before, but once removed from the carburettor seems a size too big for the hole!
i will try investigating further thanks bob
I have the same problem,it's so annoying.
What if the throttle is too sensitive? As soon as I touch the throttle it wheelies. I have the same type of carb.
