After watching this video, I bought a 2022 Corolla at Smart Motors. Great car and great dealership. The salesman, Javier, was informative and answered all my questions. Highly recommended.
@@marky6841 I am in California. I will have to look into this BUT this dealership is very far away unless I can save money$$$$ to get Corolla between invoice price and MSRP.
Thank you for going over the side mirrors!!! I'm comparing the Corolla Hybrid 2022 and Corolla SE. No other RUclips video shows anything about side mirrors! I have a 2015 KIA Forte EX with auto folding side mirrors, the main reason I bought the Forte, I didn't find Toyota had/has auto folding side mirrors. ALL Cars should have the auto fold side mirrors, love them. Looking to go back to Corolla and wondered what to expect with side outside mirrors. Thanks to your showing something about side mirrors. Great thorough video, much appreciate!! Confused about low profile tires, what about when we need snow tires? Best!
I just bought this Corolla two weeks ago I love everything about it. The only negative thing I have to say is that you hear a lot of tire noise and road noise at highway speeds.
Just bought the 2022 SE Manual 6 speed upgraded package level( cvt was a no go for me) , love it ! A little known fact - Toyota installs a moonroof on all corolla se manual models as a perk! Thank you for the video
Can you order this exact SE COROLLA FROM JAPAN FOR me in same color except in hatchback with 6spd. Manaual transmission with red interior, red seats (IN RED Leather?) with the top Toyota stereo system?🤔🤔
Bought it in this beautiful color with a 6 speed in SE trim ( moon roof is standard). Love it! Toyota made the best looking Corolla yet. If you're on the fence about this car, take a test drive, if you can still drive stick, NOW is the time to get one. I got mine cheap because alot of people don't buy manuals (sad 😥). Honda doesn't offer manuals for the entry level Civic (only Si or Type-R trim). Plus Honda costs more. Happy hunting!
Big problem. There are no cars in stock to buy or test drive due to so called "micro chip shortage". Since you own a corolla, how comfortable is the ride on real world bumpy roads? Good isolation from bumps? How is road noise and engine noise?🤔
@@microminiskirt I can't lie. Yo will feel the road in SE and XSE models due to the 225/40/18 tire. Isolation is good, rebound is minimal, nice ride and body control when driven hard in turns. Wind noise can be heard with sunroof closed while inside cover is open. Engine is a bit raspy. I'm still babying it because it only has 3,500 miles. Fuel economy is great. Im averageing 29mpg combined. Avoid the CVT and get the manual. Good luck👍.
So what’s the difference between wind chill Pearl and white? Lol. They all look the same to me. I was about to say, that front black plate looks like KITT from Knight Rider. Just without the red lights flashing across back and forth. We need someone to do that mod.
You can lose a key fob the same you can lose your regular keys. Both are required to start your car. Both take a simple 2 second action to start the ignition. Why’s a button something you’re worried about, it’s a gimmick. Most of these cars have phone apps that do everything key fobs do minus the ignition.
Man I'm really really curious. Was this Corolla made in Japan or USA? Reason I'm asking is the high density foam your spoke about covering the spare tire in the trunk, some Corollas have a cheaper version of that foam that is not so nicely form fitted. Please let me know. Here is one example ruclips.net/video/q4_OS_B3TqI/видео.htmlm10s
It depends on the dealership and if you are in a rush to buy the car. I got mine 3 weeks ago. MSRP minus $500 from Toyota minus $100 from a dealer. Yes, I had to wait for 3 weeks for the car. Two other dealerships in the neighborhood had Corollas on the lot. One of them added $3000 over MSRP; the other one was more generous: only $2500 extra.
This video is awesome! Your explanation is exactly what I was looking for. Hold my like!

Yes, love my 20 SE. Basically, the same as the 22.
Me too! Long live the manuals!
What happens if you don't want a Sunroof?😮 And don't want to pay for that unnecessary option?🤑
Same here I do not want the CVT transmission..
I am liking the SE
Me too with 6pd.. manual in windchill white color and red interior if I can get red inrerior n red (leather seats).
Man the car shortage is killing me. I'm not able to find a car selling at MSRP!

Nice and pretty dynamic looking car.

Is the ‘Wind chill Pearl’ color pretty much the same as the ‘Blizzard Pearl’ from the previous years?
Can I get the USA SPEC. Corolla (MADE IN JAPAN) in wind chill color with red interior and red leather seats with 6 spd. Manual trans. In a hatchback?
Does this engine have a timing chain or is it a belt?
It's a timing chain.
The dynamic force 2.0L.

How come the manual transmission SE has the push-button start and the automatic SE does not?
You are so detailed
The smart key system on this grade is standard for imt

The manual transmission SE has push-button start. The automatic does not. I'd like to know why as well.
Those require a chip. Few manufacturers are dropping the push start and few options that require semi conductor chips
No, all the Canadian SE models come with pushbutton start whether CVT or MT.
I love mine
how much?
Why do some 2022 SE come with moon roof and some don’t?
cause the update one is having moonroof on it I think
All the SE sedans sold in USA starting in 2020 with manual transmission have the sunroof and keyless start. Sunroof optional on the automatics.
That's an option I do not need. SUNROOF. It will add up and mark up price.
Money worth spending
