you only succeed if you fail first my dad always taught me hands on so i'm a jack of all trades master of none back in the 80's i was just a 10 year old boy on a half acre of land i raised enough chickens and rabbits and we finished a cow just so we could have food on the table

I just love seeing a family work together and be thankful for all you have. I’m starting my homestead at 62 years old. It’s never too late to experience the joy living on a homestead. My grandchildren will be a great help. Thanks for sharing ❤️

Great work! We had some success and failure in last year as well on our farm. We have a 3 acre homestead in Appalachia. We share some of those things on our channel!
I am looking forward to the New Year and the new things it has to offer.

Good on you Tom. My life has been basically paralleling yours. I'm a married city guy with a family. Recently moved onto a small 5 acre lot and have been doing many things that you have. I've been very fortunate to not have to go to a 9 to 5 job so I have a lot of time during the day to work on the "farm". That's the biggest thing that surprises me about you. You have a regular job and you're still making it happen on the farm. Keep it up. Been a lot of fun watching you guys develop and grow, etc. You might check into American Bresse chickens. They're a dual purpose breed with an emphasis on meat but they are great layers. You can hatch their eggs which would just add to your sustainability. We started with them and have never looked back. We're currently breeding them with plans to start selling this year. We have 5 separate breeding pens and we use the spiral mating method to try to help with genetics. If you're ever interested in trying them out, hit me up.

Great video! I will have to check out your website. I love your ending, "Have a great and better tomorrow". I always think of that saying, because it is what you want people to have☺Maybe, a t-shirt? Or a hat, woman's hat, not a trucker hat, with that saying on it+

Congratulations on all of your accomplishments this year! You have done so much this year, it’s so impressive. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. You should definitely get into bees, it’s an addictive hobby. I do suggest starting to learn now, maybe join a local beekeeping group. When I started, I went to a class through a local club in my area, and got my equipment during the winter. There’s good RUclips channels as well, like Jerome Bee Farm and Homestead, as well as David Burns and Bob Binnie. Good luck with you new endeavors, you’re gonna be great! 😊🎄🐓🐝
