it's weird. when i first saw the interview when it came out i also believed scooter forced her. it made me uncomfortable hearing that. the difference between what her friends say about her art vs scooter is very telling. scooter also managed jb and look how that turned out. jb was unhappy for many years being overworked. even ariana said the sweetner tour was a lot. she was def overworked. i know she loves her job and that's great. i saw her live in the last weeks of her tour and she was exhausted. she did not have a lot of energy compared to the start of it. i loved the show and i saw she was tired.

Greatest art is often deeply sad and real and ghostin is no exception. The backstory is very sad and painful but putting the song on the album gave us one of the best tracks in recent memory.

Managers are hired by the artist to help manage their careers and make decisions using their expertise. Scooter probably thought the song was beautiful and would be a good addition to the album and insisted that it should be included. I highly doubt the label would force her to do anything at this stage in her career, so in the end she made that call.
To be honest, we shouldn’t even have ghostin. Ari never wanted us to hear it, but in a way, it let us into how much baggage she had to go through. It made us understand how hard it is for her.

It breaks my heart to think that 🛴 (yuck, couldn't even type his name) pressured Ariana to release ghostin because that is honestly probably my favorite song of hers, ever. Also in my playlist of favorite songs of any artist, ever. Almost 3 years since the album drop and just learned that she didn't even want to release it. I understand why because the pain and emotion is so evident through this song even without her finishing writing it. I feel she almost downplays her own artistic power by saying its just two verses and strings. The "strings" and production of that song is what makes it so beautiful and so heartbreaking. This song (like other commenters have said) is what truly opened my eyes to how great of an artist she is, not just an extremely talented vocalist. The way she layers sounds and conveys everything you need to feel through her production is truly magical. Ghostin is magical. And haunting. And so so beautiful. Even so, this is her art and she should be in control of what she wants to be released/not released.

It’s one of those songs that I definitely relate to and honestly kinda helped me and still does
I hated it. From the first time hearing it it felt wayyyy too personal. It felt idk, too soon? It's odd to hear her say how she didnt want it there either.

I don't like Scooter but Ghosting is one of her most beautiful songs. I'm glad it was in the album. I've cried many times listening to that song. It's just beautiful.

I’m glad she decided to keep it on the album in the end. It’s honestly my favorite song of hers. It makes me emotional in a way none of her other songs ever have.

@@j4ever938 yes she did lol. Scooter has been fired by Ari before, she could easily do it again. Managers don’t determine what goes on an album, the artist and the label execs do. Managers are hired by the artist to help manage their careers and make decisions using their expertise. Scooter probably thought the song was beautiful and would be a good addition to the album and insisted that it should be included. I highly doubt the label would force her to do anything at this stage in her career, so in the end she made that call.
To be honest, we shouldn’t even have ghostin. Ari never wanted us to hear it, but in a way, it let us into how much baggage she had to go through. It made us understand how hard it is for her.

as much as i hate that she was essentially forced into releasing something personal that she physically couldn’t handle even finishing, let alone releasing...i want to thank scooter for pushing for that song to be on the album. it’s is such a beautiful song. it’s emotional, and real and all around beautiful and i couldn’t even begin to imagine it not in the track list.

It breaks my heart to think that 🛴 (yuck, couldn't even type his name) pressured Ariana to release ghostin because that is honestly probably my favorite song of hers, ever. Also in my playlist of favorite songs of any artist, ever. Almost 3 years since the album drop and just learned that she didn't even want to release it. I understand why because the pain and emotion is so evident through this song even without her finishing writing it. I feel she almost downplays her own artistic power by saying its just two verses and strings. The "strings" and production of that song is what makes it so beautiful and so heartbreaking. This song (like other commenters have said) is what truly opened my eyes to how great of an artist she is, not just an extremely talented vocalist. The way she layers sounds and conveys everything you need to feel through her production is truly magical. Ghostin is magical. And haunting. And so so beautiful. Even so, this is her art and she should be in control of what she wants to be released/not released.
I’m glad he told her to keep it. It’s the best on the record and people needed to hear this vulnerable side to her. I think it shows so much growth and I wish I saw more of that side of her

Ghostin is probably my favourite song of Ariana’s it’s very personal and grateful to hear it.
Ariana will always defend and love Scooter until she gets to work with someone else and realizes how it feels to have full control over her own art. It's like kids who grow up in a dysfunctional household don't know its dysfunctional until they experience 'normal' family life.

@Diana • oh yeah I knew she fired him once but ofc Ariana has a contract with him, but tbh I don't think Ariana needs him anymore, she's a big name in the music industry now, she literally could drop a song now and next week would go to #1, she'd do completely fine without him, the thing is that I don't really trust him, he may seem to be friends with Ariana but we don't know his intentions, we don't know the implications or consequences of Ariana having a whole ass contract with him for all these years he's been managing her

i know scooter is very problematic and i am in no way defending the things he’s done or will do but i am very happy it was kept on the album because it helped me a lot dealing with stuff and i hope it helped ariana in some way with like closure with mac and pete but i am just very happy it was kept on the album because otherwise we probably would have never heard it (much like reMeMber which we may unfortunately never hear) but it is my favorite song off the whole album and it’s super fitting for the album and it helped me through so much and i hope it helped her as well
