That's why I love the Internet- whenever I got a question or I need to know some random thing that just popped up in my mind, I can get the answer really fast... on the other hand- I get lost on wikipedia and read about everything I didn't know about already (because of the words in an article you can click on to move to the next thing, it's hard to resist), which is time consuming ~ an ISTJ
Can confirm that I have many random knowledge that I will never use in real life as ISTJ. My favourite is about how sun will grow bigger since it doesn't have enough mass to blow up and will swallow earth, but it will happen for million years in future.

I don't want to be that person, but personally I go to someone who are close to me if I want to complain and if they're honestly not interested in the topic I prefer them to tell me cause it is not like I cannot shut up about it, I just choose not to at that moment.
Not an intj but as an infj i can relate to this. Yes im a perfectionist but i dont really like to know the details, it overwhelmed me actually. As a perfectionist, i also tend to miss small details on my work and its my istj co-worker who always notice those small details that i often miss 😅

But about the dislike for detail's, I like fantasy novels but my eyes automatically skip over portions about descriptions for instance about a house or place when it gets too length, I often do it without any thought.

I know an INFJ who is also like that. But I also know an INTJ who does not care about that because doing something like that would be too much of a waste of time for her. Plus, I usually ignore these kinds of details too in a book (I only pay attention when I know they have some relevance to the narrative). I am an ISTJ and I had my attention called by my ENTJ friend more times than I could count about missing details and having a bad memory 🤷🏻♀️
@@Itwasnme you're welcome, and yeah, we can, our perception is subjective (just like Ni-dom's), and these Si "memories" are related to personal sensorial experience that we judge important by principle/feelings (Fi) or by objective logic/hard facts (Te), so, if something is "useless" to me cause I cannot relate to it emotionally or use it as a logical fact in my daily life (like some dates, characteristics of random people I see every day, things I know I'll do just once etc), I'll probably just forget them, even though these might be important to other people or social conventions (Fe - since we, just like INTJs, have Fe blindspot).

im an infp and sometimes i like to talk about detailed past data to my infj friend. and this video just makes me realize that its like that for Ni user. my infj friend listening to me rambling makes me felt.. special, even if he mostly replies with short answer he still stays to listen. sometimes we hang out with not talk much but i really like it, quite quality time. there's a times where he is so chill just want to have fun and there's a times where he doing things very quick from one things to other things. my infj friend also like to shares detail past data but its 1/3 from how much i talk about it

It feels like I'm talking to Cortana/Alexa/Google Assistant/Siri: you have to ask specific questions, and rephrase it multiple times, to get the full response you want. I see ESTPs do this king of rambling on too. What makes it worse, is that they do a lot of pausing because their brain cannot keep up with their mouths. As an INFJ, i get so triggered.
it's quite shocking, the first 2 or so times i took the 16 personalities test, i got INTJ-T. (took it 2-3 years ago) but recently, i've took it another 2 or 3 times and this time i got ISTJ-T.

Even though I’m an INFJ, I’m the same way as the INTJ in this scenario. ISTJ’s can drive me crazy with their hyper focus on the details, and lack of big picture thinking.

despite being aware it's just for comical purposes, It's not really as superficial as it seems in this video. the istj -or me personally- wouldn't add the details if the other party was giving a inefficient respond, while it also depends on the type of the details and wether they are important information to mention so the other person fully understands the situation.
like in the video, the istj here is not rambling, they are venting which means the intj is a very close person to them to the point the istj is trying to deliver their feelings by the giving details.
but it was very obvious they weren't interested.
not many ppl understand the istj personality. this is why it's one of the most boring types in the mbti community bc the stereotypes are just WRONG.
