- Growing your own food just got more meaningful. As folks self-quarantine for Covid -19 having our own “grocery store” in our backyard has never been more meaningful. If you’re watching these inspiring/educational vlogs about growing your own food, you’re in the right place. I believe this trend is going to grow significantly as we ad one more incentive for gaining freedom and resiliency from growing some of our own food.

Day 5 in quarantine: The best videos to watch before sleeping. I wish I could live in this farm.
Justin, your family has been inspirational and a testament to the benefits of hard work and perseverance. At 50 I’m looking at a possible loss of a job. Homesteading has lost been a dream of mine. With a few young and strong years ahead of me I’d love to transition to a meaningful and self sustaining life. Each day I scroll through real estate websites searching for my slice of heaven. Maybe one day soon it will be a reality. I love how you show the realities of farm life and celebrate your accomplishments and take your failures in stride. God bless you and your young family. Your a shining example that a good life is not necessarily a life full of things, but a life full of live and family is truly rewarding.
Beautiful story.
I really appreciate how you talked about how the kids are the most important. No matter how busy it gets on the farm we realize that the kids need to always be involved and encouraged to learn, even if it does take a bit longer😉
"You guys are the most important work" I am in tears lol, such a beautiful thing to say to your children :) God Bless you guys
Justin you and your family are awesome. I love that quote about kids are not a distraction from important work but are the most important work. That is so true I have been trying to do my best even before that quote to do just that. I cant w8 to have our garden jammin too
I trained my pups to a training pad. You can get a spray to help them "go here". So, at night he won't roam and potty in the floor. My grandmother put hot pepper in the chicken's food, when it was cold. Kept them laying all winter, even with snow on the ground. This trick is nearly 100 years old. I also did it with mine and it works. Keeps their bodies warm, so if there is sun, they will continue to lay well. 😊
Yes you're very fortunate and blessed
"Chicken Ninja Master" yessssss!!!!
As the Lord tells us, it is right for a man (and his family) to eat of the fruit of his labors. God bless you all.
So true, on all accounts, kids are the most important. That are the future, let's give them all the skills we have... gardening still not a hobby lol... that's how I keep my family strong and healthy.
Wonderful video, wonderful family. Thank you Rhodes family for sharing.
She loves spoiling that puppy so sweet to see.
The dog is adorable 😍
The asparagus are are forever. They never go away, it comes back every year.
I can tell you haven't had an indoor dog before. Get that guy used to his crate all night and anytime you aren't home. It helps masses with potty training also. They won't mess in their bed unless it gets to point of emergency. And they can't do things you don't want them to do without being scolded immediately.
It seems to all go smoothly!! I know there is the in between but it is pretty great!! Just love watching you all❣❣❣
Lol, crate before he sleeps with me,my husband said that 10 years ago and our dog sleeps with us, lol
I wanted to start growing things... I wake up and my cats knocked over my plants and had to clean up all the dirt out of the carpet. This is why I can’t have nice things
I’ve always clipped just one wing. It completely unbalanced them when they try to fly.
That's the cutest puppy ever! Just for my neurotic well being, spray that walk in cooler down with some colloidal silver, or something like that because it is now full of mold spores. Just saying. 😜 You don't need my help!! lol
We all need each other :)
Did you clip both his wings? I was always told to only clip one wing. It keeps them off-balance and unable to fly.
I think that the Hen wants to hatch some babies!!
This is great ❤️
have 6pack of toilet paper will trade for Escalade lol
Wonder if they are getting on the chick shaw and jumping/flying over the fence...
Lol good catch Justin
Hola linda familia
Good afternoon y’all
Justin why don't you create a low tunnel to help with growing your vegs? Do you have backup when electricity goes off?
We're getting a generator.
Hi I’m so impressed with your set up xx just wondering why all the squash went rotten?
It got old.
Clipping two wings won’t help clipping one will make them unbalanced
What your electric power like? Also do you have back up electric?
$60 a month. Pretty awesome considering you can't buy this clean meat anywhere. Oh, and it's right there in a spare room! No need to go anywhere.
Please be cautious, people will get desperate.
Id buy food from u any day .....
Show us the freezers. You said to remind you :)
You won't get asparagus this year, maybe next year.
you need to watch people start stealing your eggs,, put a piece of tape on door see if it tore in the morning sad but thats our world
Please don't give them to the pigs, its normal they get out, we free range our chickens, no borders, and we have plenty of eggs
It's common, but doesn't have to be normal ;)
Hi
How do you vaccinate all your birds??
Easy. We don't.
Where does the Hillary farm come from?
