Is there a limit to how much you can recover from a specific drive? I'm looking to recover somewhere between 200-300gb worth of data.
the limit is the space on the drive you are recovering to

The program has been working for two days on my PC and it has not finished the task to recover the lost 650 GB files. Is it because of the volume or because Windows 10 was not installed when i started the program? Could you please answer my question?

Mine says it didn't recover anything, but I know for a fact that there are files on there. Any ideas? I even did a deep scan and it only took one second to tell me there isn't anything on my USB drive, but I know there is, so I'm really confused.

Yes you might need to turn off bitlocker or encryption on drives. It is there for a reason

doesnt work. Says the USB is encrypted or some shit. I want to save the files on the USB. But I can't use this software, because it says the USB is broken. No duh its broken, thats why I'm trying to save the files.

When it asks if you want to upgrade choose that option - and backup anything important before hand just in case!

there are limitations to file recovery especially the filename length at either end off the data paths. Try recovering to a folder in the root of a drive like c:\backup or similar

I've tried a few different free software but none of them seem to work with my external hard drive. I keep getting a message that there was an error and couldn't scan my hd. I also tried some things using DOS. Am I out of luck? Do I need to pay a pro?
maybe, also might be worth taking out of the usb caddy and connect it directly to the computer via sata if possible?
Two seconds deep scan files recovered zero. It will scan the C drive ok but when I try the empty reformatted USB stick there's nothing.

you can't run it as a portable install as far as i know

Both this and recuva don't work on my sd card, other apps showed me my files but lock them behind paywall, if i format the sd will recuva or winfrgui recognize it and will i lose data?
the more you access the drive the harder it will be to recover any data, every data pass pushes the info further away
i did what you have done through out the whole video but it didn't work for me idk why🤔
take a look at recuva, that might give better results

was the drive originally encrypted? if so you will need to decrypt the volume before any files can be restored. Yuo will also need the decryption key

depends on the encryption used, if it is bitlocker you need the keys provided when it was set up
