I didn't get mine from Webike but rather a seller on eBay. Probably from the same distributor because I had a similar experience. I went with black for color. And like you, several holes weren't drilled and some that were cut out like for the side mirrors were slightly in the wrong spot so they had to be made bigger or moved over slightly. And since I got black I noticed only the outside of the plastics were painted. The inside remains white which on some of the edges you can see where it's not painted. Most noticable on the trunk door. But for what I paid I can't complain too much. Oh one other thing was when they were shipped a couple pieces had tabs broken off but luckily the seller sent me new undamaged pieces for free!

Finally found a Helix about Book 6 and already used a few of your videos for maintenance. Really like that spoiler and just can’t bring myself to cut into the stock plastics as they are in such good shape. Ordered lots of things from Webike for my Honda Trail and Monkey, been really happy with their service after the shock of the shipping cost wore off. Thanks for biting the bullet for us and showing just how much work it would be to fit the new plastics. So if we fit up everything first, then paint the panels you think we can get it back together without ruining the paint job?

I did all the panels on mine including the lower grey pieces. Was so frustrating and took like 5 hours . Not perfect but good enough. Thanks for the video

How exciting changing out the panels for a new color. I was on Webike this morning filling my cart with Helix parts. How long did it take for shipping? Excellent content as always and your variator degreasing on an earlier book helped me out immensely as all my previous scooters were all dry greaseless as the Helix is now. My rebuild is just starting so I will be reviewing videos again. It was surprising to me how molested your low mileage Helix was and I would say it was all done in an effort to get the engine running in order to sell. Who did the most damage? the mouse or the person trying to get the engine going? I live in a very rural area where people just do what ever works to get a vehicle running hence my Helix has a battery from emergency lighting. I don't know what I will find when I start removing all the panels but I suspect it will be 38 years of lets get this thing going with what is available and cheap. Looking forward to upcoming books!

Thanks for being a part of my channel!
Great question! I would prefer the mouse over someone messing around that doesn't know what they are doing.
The panels only took two weeks to get. They are quick to ship them out.
Good luck with the new parts!

I recently bought a Honda elite 150 I noticed that the front suspension doesn't have much life left. Do you have any ideas on how I could replace them I can only find parted out parts I wanna try to completely replace them with modern suspension?.

Excellent videos! I'm installing a spoiler on my bike and this is the only video I could find that had details about splicing into the wiring harness. Now I know what I have to do - thanks!

@@rubytheelite oh yeah, I subscribed. When you mounted the spoiler, did you run the bolts through the trunk liner and body panels or just the body panels?

Just through the panels. Keep in mind the light only comes on when braking. I did it this way purposely. It makes it much easier for cars behind you to know your stopping. Just my opinion anyway. Have fun!

@@rubytheelite I found that out. At first I thought I had made a mistake because I was expecting the light to be on all the time and then it would get brighter when you put the brakes on. I eventually figured out that it was working. Probably better it isn't on all the time.

I have bought a bunch of parts from Webike. I replaced all my lowerrs in black. Bought the whole inside kit in white (floor, front trunk, dash, etc). A few chrome pieces as well. I am pretty happy with Webike as well. My 86 looks like new tho I boogered it up with Star Wars stickers. Now have to work on restoring my 97 red Helix (I too hate red)

Another great video Ruby. I like the color because we see too many of the same color, Red. I've seen some yellow ones that look good. I bought a Helix in Seattle when I was working in Portland that was an interesting combination. The scoot was red and the front panel had been broken so the guy replaced it with a black panel and proceeded to replace the rear center panel with black and painted the trunk panel the same width with black. It actually looked pretty good. That one is my wife's scoot. I haven't purchased anything from WeBike so I don't have an opinion. I have bought a few parts from Helixparts USA and have been happy with the parts. I didn't think you could get anything from Honda. To this day I ride my Helix and Morphous more than my BMW's. How sad they look when I take the Helix out for a ride.

Hello Scott, funny you mention it! I almost did the same thing using the red down the center. I kept thinking it would look a 69 Camero, white with red stripes. At least that's the quick thought across my mind. Thanks again for your comments! They are appreciated!

You’re the best. If you want to sell the red panels, I’d buy them.

@DriveBreakFixRepeat70 I'm going to keep them. In case I do sell it, the panels will stay with the scooter.
