- In this video, Duncan talks you through a new Kit that allows you to put any type of wheel on a Hub motor board !
What do you think, Yay or Nay ? Let us know in the comments !

Let’s take a moment to admire the fact that in the beginning he perfectly timed his arrival at the bench.
Has nobody made any larger softer wheels to directly replace the urethane sleeves on hubs?
If not, there's a definite need. I'd buy them.
I'm working on making some with some 3 to 4 inch rubber pipe adaptors I've got from Menard's. They slip right on. Also Raldey boards sell some that look like they will fit over normal hubs, that are for their mt v3. Not sure if they are for 90mm or 100mm , either way I plan on trying them with my meepo mini.
@@jacksonridermistuffcahinc.3131 please update us if you were able to make it fit,I want one for my meepo v3.
I am also looking for bigger and softer wheels that fit directly on the hub motors of my Exway Flex Hub. Could anyone please make some? :-)
Here what I've got so far. ruclips.net/video/HFNE5yutT-I/видео.html
Cloudwheels has released a 105mm donut for hub motors, we will stock them soon !
Nice to see you guys bringing these to AUS. I was really considering those and getting wider trucks for the front wheels... essentially a DIY DD.
Nice idea, we hadn't thought of that. :)
@@benbucklerboards a shame because the trucks on the Exway are very good, but on my seekerboard, I don't really care. LOL
Glad to contribute in same way. Send us an update if you guys come to change the truck on the exway!
@@ttkuratani Will do, thank you!
Thanks guys. Been waiting to see a review on this kit since it first dropped. Top work ⚡️👍🏽
Wider front trucks and I’d be in!! Unfortunately riding a meepo so it’s a no go for me.
Keep up the good work guys, from the uk 🤙🏽
Thanks!
Meepo v3
Why is it a no go? I got a meepo mini, doesn't seem like it would be hard to change the front trucks at all
I'm thinking of putting cloudwheels on my Meepo Mini 2 ER and CW gave me 2 options: 1.) Change front tires only with 105mm CW and keep 90mm PU at the hub. Option 2.) Change front and rear wheels with 120mm CW but there's 'cutting' of the sleeves I don't quite understand. If it's anything like this video I'd definitely do it. We all change wheels for comfort so wider wheels on the back mean nothing.
Okay thanks for this video. I have a Lycaon hub motor and just purchased the cloud wheels. Spring I'll get to enjoy it
Would you recommend buying those and installing them on a backfire g2 black ?
Will this work on the meepo v2?
Is this working with Teamgee h20 mini ? I am looking for 103mm or 105mm wheel 120 is to big for my deck shape
would you recommend the 120mm cloudwheels for a "hummie hubs" 11s4p 30Q Battery hubmotor board or 105mm?
Mainly regarding the torque uphill.
I'd say go with 105 will have slightly more torque
Cool! I would also get adapters for the front wheels too. Just to even out the appearance with the rear.
Good point. But not an ideal fix here, best to go DD
CAN I USE THESE ON A FABOARD V2 70MM HUB?
Awesome video bro, just looking a way how can i use cloud wheels on hub motor.
But its pretty hard decision after looking the way it looks with the kit.
And since its been a couple of months you are using that kit, can you make a video reviewing after couple month usage ?
It is still very good, but now Cloudwheel has come up with the "Donuts" that fit directly onto a hub motor without modification, they will be in stock soon and we'll review them!
Hi, thanks for the video. Thinking about doing that for my board. So, doesn't the wider wheelbase feel weird? That's my only concern, but you don't seem to complain about a different riding sensation.
No we didn't feel like it changed the riding sensation !
you could get a wider truck for the front as well right?
I love it, great ideas, I agree put black tape around those bright orange wheels as I was about to mentioned but then you guys said before I finished typing ;)
Great minds think alike :)
Hey what’s the size of the cover ?
This is awesome
Thanks!
@@benbucklerboards welcome id have to look into this if it will fit some of my boards like meepo v3 and others
I want to do this with my older ownboard hub motor board but i took the sticker off and there is just a flat plate with no screw holes.. can someone help?? Does anyone have any insight into this??
Would this work for meep
Will this work for a 90 mm hub motor from a teamgee H20 mini?? I bought one and only have had it for 3 weeks or so now and I already pretty much need wheels for it.. I mean I've rode it 250 miles in 3 weeks so it is what it is haha but I would love to do exactly what u just did in the video as long as it fits that small of a hub motor.. I appreciate any input on the question because I can't seem to find any replacements for my eBoard and teamgee hasn't been to quick to get back to me about the issue.. go figure
We don't stock this model so it's hard to verify, how many screws are on the hub? If it's 5 or 6 it should work
Hello, great article,..i believe it has moved me one step closer...i am a relative newbie to wanting to work on my board so...forgive me for being stupid...ok..i have a new Windseeker G5 electric hub motor board...i am interested in changing my wheels to maybe a softer wheel than the ones that came on it...where do i get the sleeves?...i think i can do it now, thanks to you but i want to make sure i get the right sleeve...thanks, F. London
So does this make any difference with speed wobble? (you guys barely took the board very fast) I just purchased an ownboard mini kt, and the speed wobble is crazy on it, even with the trucks as tight as they can be.
It may help with stability a little bit, but that's not what it's made for. You might want to upgrade your bushings to a harder compound to reduce the wobbles
Does this work for meepo v3 and just meepo overall?
Should do, if you are close to Sydney you can try the fit.
I forgot to add the silicone gasket would that be problems in the long run
Do they do these wheels for the meepo board V3? I just bought a meepo board and i didn't realise that the ground needs to be perfect for standard wheels.
Desperate to change them. Can anyone recommend anything?
3D factory AT conversion kit - Look into it.
@@oskvisuals thank you brother
Depending on the number of screw holes on the hub, it could work ! Come in the shop for a test fit!
@@benbucklerboards would love to, I'm based in the UK though.
Can you please provide a link to the Allen tool kit you used to take off the wheels and on I can’t find it.
If you search fro Torx Key Set you should be able to find them easily.
Dose the adapter work with meepo board er2
We think so !
I'm thinking of putting Cloud Wheels on my Meepo Mini 2 ER and CW sugested 2 options: 1.) Change front tires only with 105mm CW and leave the 90mm PU on the hub. Option 2.) Change front and rear wheels with 120mm CW but there's 'cutting' of the sleeves I don't quite understand. If changing the wheels on mine is anything like this video Id definitely do it. We all change wheels for comfort so the wider wheels at the back mean nothing.
Yes we've heard of this cutting option, but it sounds complicated and not ideal. Ho many screws are on the hub cover at the back of your board? If it's 5 or 6 this kit should fit
@@benbucklerboards 6 screws. They sent me an email with pictures and the pictures looks exactly how it was done on this video, and easy to understand but the cutting part wasn't shown at all.
@@rufflewater2890 Hey that's strange, the 6 screw kit should work. We though the cutting was only relevant for the donut wheels. Please send a photo to support@benbucklerboards.com.au if you need more help, thanks!
Where do I get the kits
I assume the exway doesn't come with black wheels? That would take the orange wheels out of the equation
Though i personally would leave the Orange in, i like to look "different" ;)
Thanks Matt!
They sell black and transparent (as well as the standard orange) on the accessories section of their website
whats a good electric longboard for $300 on Amazon that I can put mbs all terrain wheels? or the cloud wheels?
We've never heard of a good electric longboard under $300 sorry Sergio.

Will this kit work on meepo board
If your hub cover has either 5 or 6 screws it should fit
Any recommendations for the skatebolt breeze 2 ???
You just need to count how many screws go into the hub motor do you can order the correct parts on our website. We've not tried this board before though, there are hundreds of cheap boards out there
Do these wheels fit on a Bustin board Sportster?
Not sure sorry, we’ve not tried that yet
Can I get these on my meepo v4 shuffle ??
We think it would be possible with the 6 holes setup
They made DIY cloud wheels to fit the meepo motor .. it would be nice to see a video on how to actually do it, they said it's really hands on and possibly difficult..
Should be just like this but with 6 screws for the meepo v3 they sell those just hard to find
The wheels I'm talking about are new..., meepo said you need to cut the old rubber from factory electic wheels and use the guts on the DIY cloud wheels

i like it
Damn I got excited because that's what I wanted on hubs. Specifically the Exway X1 pro but that just looks too ridiculous and way too expensive. Even if it was positioned where the OEM wheels are to look less silly, that price would still be too much to justify.
We're stoked we could help you, thanks for your feedback!
Can I put cloud wheels on a meepo v3
It's possible, just count the number of screws on your hub motor !
@@benbucklerboards thanks
Anyone use these for all terrain wheels yet, crappy acceleration? over heating? less range? all of the above, would require wider front trucks to balance out the look.
Who do i but this kit from ?
You can pick them up from our website. Search for Cloudwheel pulley kits and select the hub conversion kit.
The six screw donut wouldnt that work with the meepo v3 which has 6 screws?
Yes it should!
Hi will this work on a JKING

How can I get this kit ??
Hey Jerry! Check our website or the cloudwheel website, Cheers
Moving the wheel out puts tons of extra stress on bearings and axles. Bad idea i think
It is.. It's the same as slapping on like 6 wheel extension's to make the car far wider.. will definitely stress everything out.. But this is why I bought A belt drive board so I can use my wind and on road wheel's...
Where can I order?
Via our website: benbucklerboards.com.au/products/cloudwheels-pulley-kits
But it looks like we might be sold out at the moment sorry.
Got them on but they’re making a very loud rattling noise. I tighten the bolts as tight as they would go and they loosen by themselves when I try to ride. This sucks.
Where are you based? Can we help you in person?
@@benbucklerboards no unfortunately, I live in Pakistan. I tested them out on the road, they worked fine, only they made noise and the wheel nut on one wheel would loosen a little on its own. I cant think of anything I've done wrong, followed every instruction to the T.
I do believe the issue is the main bolt (fixed screw) that’s put in the middle of the red pulley. It wiggles around too much despite every single smaller screw being as tight as allowed. I think this is leading to the wheel nut loosening.
@@OldDolio312 Which board do you have sorry?
@@benbucklerboards backfire g3. So I already redid the wheel that was the issue like 3 times but this time I took the stock wheel off completely, put the screws into place then put the stock wheel on and it seemed to do the trick! No rattle and wheel nut is completely secure too. Super proud of myself lol.
Seems like the extra flex on the motor would not be good for lifespan.
Ugh, Thats gonna change the whole feel of the board. you're carve axis will be off. There has to be a better way to do this. Great Video by the way. Im searching for cloud wheels for my Meepo NLS pro with Hubs. Maybe I should just but the Belt version. Frustrating.
Thanks for your feedback! Yes belt drives offer more flexibility
well now you could just buy the donuts. nice kit tho

I notice a 5 lug....will the clouds work with a 6 lug?
If you see on their page, they also had with 6 lug.
@@Thecreamer666 they don't fit.....👍
Why can’t you do the same for front wheels?
I guess because front wheels don't have screw holes to attach extra wheels to. You'd need extra wide trucks to make your front wheels wider.
Does the kit work on a meepo board?
Not sure, we don't have a Meepo with us. Check out the Cloud Wheels website for more info.
@lemonEater where you able to find out if it fits the Meepo V3?
Mamma mia
indeed :)
Well.... now theres the Cloudwheel Donut.
Yes we will stock them soon ! the donut is only 105mm though, so if you want 120 this solution is still viable
Having the orange colour has it benefits... you’re more visible if you ride in traffic or on bike, scooter and jogging path. We don’t get any respect from these types of people who feel skateboarders and EB’ers should not be in their way.
You can get orange cloud wheels, actually there are a few different colours :)
It is so wrong, it will break something very fast. It can brake the wheels because no axle support so a lot of load is on the core (not a good idea but especially bad on cloudwheels which have a tendency of breaking cores...), has a chance to break the motors at the 5 screws holding the adapter to the motor, and can also break the truck, or at least bend it. If you want a direct drive, pay for a direct drive. It's that simple.
Hi Dinnye, thanks for your contribution! Our of interest, what do you base your claims on? Are an engineer involved in the design of the components? FYI - all the new Cloudwheels have thicker Abec cores, so we're not seeing any breaking cores anymore. We take your general point, so we'll do some stress testing and report back.
@@benbucklerboards I am not an engineer yet, but I am studying to be one. So I am pretty good at physics. I will explain each point.
1, No axle support from the truck means that your weight is supported by the motors. The motors are supported by the axle. The wheels are far from the axle. This creates a lot more leverage on the trucks to bend or break the axle. On my Wowgo 2S, the axle is already loose and a little bent, and is making annoying sounds after normal usage. I have about 1350km on it. With using a mod like this, you are shortening the time the parts break. With an exway the durability should be better because the truck is forged, but after some time it will still be a problem.
2, The adaptor plate is secured to the motor by 5 small screws, each of those screws are holding 1/20 of your weight if you stand in the middle of the board. The weight force you are putting on the screws is perpendicular to the direction of the screws. Screws were not designed to take huge sideways load. If you are riding the direction on the load is constantly changing, so this won't be something you notice until it's too late. And when it will be too late is when you will be going over speed bumps, potholes, dropping down curbs or going through very rough terrain. The screws will just break once the load reaches a certain threshold.
3, The wheel cores can still be problematic in this application. Even though the new cores are thicker, with using this adapter you halve the contact points between the wheel cores and the pulley. This means that in each contact point, there is 2x the normal load. Essentially, this means 2x the chance of breaking the wheels than on a belt driven board. And the wheels were designed for belt drive boards.
To each problem, your weight is a multiplier. The heavier you are are, each point I mentioned is just getting worse. For a kid who is 50kg this mod might be completely fine - but for a fat adult who is 100+ kg and is using full speed and full torque... The loads are just too much, and stuff will quickly break.
Thanks for your concern and very in depth comment ! You make some valid points, but we feel like this kit was designed with strength in mind, and maybe able to withstand such forces. As said before, we'll keep testing and keep you updated !
@@benbucklerboards I hope it's strong enough. But with the record that iwonder has, I am pretty skeptical about their products. I appreciate keeping me updated on the durability :)
@@DinnyeYT Well said Dinnye_YT. Does not take an engineer or a physics expert to see that if you place the majority of weight on five small bolts with minimal threading that you WILL strip or break one of this bolts. Also, it does not take an engineer or physics expert to see that when you move the center of support further from the focal point there is more off camber stress on the five small bolts. Who ever thought of this design was an absolute idiot and no one should do this to their board. No only due to wasting money, but also due to safety.
I put the cloud wheels on my Backfire G3 and they are designed to replace the original street wheels.
Video was well done, but the attitude of and integrity attack by Ben Buckler Boards tells me I may not want to do business with this location.

No way it look terrible,, buy the belt drive system if you want to use the cloudwheels, but this? verydangerous on the road, when slalom with car, bike, sccooter all around, just a question of time to hit something with this rear appendice :(
Nay. Just use the cloudwheel donuts.
Yeah they are a better solution now, but they don't fit on all hubs
That seriously causes axle problems
