Daniel I have to say I loved the video and your channel! One thing with cloud wheels is that they don't have their prime grip out of the box, it starts to kick in around 40-50 miles when the contact patch is much less narrow. This break in period is definitely a disadvantage to other wheels but I think if you rode them to that point you'd have an entirely different opinion!
I use this style of wheel in the early spring and late fall when there is a lot of debris on the roads from the winter and from fallen leaves in the fall. I agree with you Daniel on everything you said about these.
I drive the Cloudwheels Discovery 105 for 3/4 years now on my Evolve GT with a 40T gear. BEST decision I've ever made. The ride is so much more smooth, especially when you are driving on asphalt and pavements with gravels in cities. My feet and knees can withstand much more kilometers without getting tired. Plus the 40T gear adds so much torque compared to the standard 32T gear, this is simply beautiful. Max speed is reduced by ~5km/h, but I don't drive max speed (42km/h) anyways in cities, so that's negligible for me. The "narrow contact patch"/convex shape, is very similar to Slick Revs. Ruff Stuff wheels. Grip was always an issue with them too. Regardless though, the options open for hub boards is limited in comparison to belted setups. Donuts are a game changer, especially if you have UK roads to contend with.
I had the Ruff Stuff on one of the original Slick Rev Max Eboards, the first gen with only one motor. Have you ridden with both Ruff Stuff and Cloud wheels, how do they compare?
I agree with many of the points. To me where they shine is commuting and increasing safety margin especially for new riders and kids. I now make it a point to have my son ride with cloud wheels or a similar type of wheel especially since he does group rides and occasionally rides in the streets. And stop playing with those donuts young man 😃🤦♂️(joke) we don’t play with food. 🍩
I think the CloudWheels are nice for people who haven't transitioned to AT wheels but want a ride that resembles AT wheels. I have both the 105 and 120 millimeter wheels. They are ALMOST as comfortable as AT wheels. The difference is... I don't worry about flat tires. (please note, I've never tried CloudWheels Rovers)
Definitely agree they’re in betweener wheels. Not the best street wheels or AT wheels. But for packed dirt and rougher roads they’re cheaper that pneumatic wheels and do a lot better than street wheels. Street wheels on rough roads sucks and on dirt packed roads is an accident waiting to happen.
You got a quicksilver look on. I dig it. I also agree with what you've said. It's the perfect in between for me because it provides a moderate level of comfort and a good amount of range no matter what surface I'm going over. AT wheels are comfy no matter what surface. Street wheels are comfy only on proper smooth paths or roads, but on anything remotely rough my feet hurt after 10minutes. AT wheels drain my battery way faster, but Street wheels provide massive range. Cloud isn't perfect at what either excels at, but provides a perfect middle ground. Very good for me due to my circumstances, which are the paths and routes I ride. Certainly if I lived in the city or in a new suburb it would change what I used.
Good wheels for completely dry roads , slipped out from dew being on the ground . Super comfy ride though . IMO they are great for urban riding and better than PU wheels just gotta watch for water .
I use the 105 on my pro riot wall street riding. I really like them for this application. When I’m heading up a park or something that needs really aggressive turning I switch back to the urethane.

I love my cloud 105s. I also love my Ant wheels. 100s. Both are superior to the factory 96mm wheels that came with my Backfire Z, especially on uneven and rough terrain. Love your videos.😊
@@ThatsAFACT.for.u your question is pretty vague, do you want the inner diameter for the belt drive or hub motor? I’d say get a micrometer to find out.😁
You never fail to make me laugh. Thanks so much for everything you do. I won't say what I think about CloudWheels. My opinion has gone from hate to love. It simply comes down to how much battery life are you willing to sacrifice for comfort. CloudWheels are more comfortable than urethane wheels but not as comfortable as all-terrain wheels. It's simple, CloudWheels are in between urethane and all-terrain Wheels. I like the the 120mm CloudWheels because I don't want to worry about flat tires.
I’m not a very big cloudwheels fan personally, manly due to the narrow contact patch. For me, that narrow contact patch just doesn’t inspire much ride confidence. In my opinion, the torqueboards 72A 110s are a much better options when it comes to grip and comfort because they’re even softer than the cloudwheels, but I also recognize that what’s best for me is not best for everyone else. The torqueboards 110s are definitely another good option though for anyone thinking about getting large wheels, my main reason for getting them myself is because the contact patch is huge.
Great Video! I got these for my backfire g3 and immediately noticed an increase in ride comfort, which was the number one thing that I was hoping for. The torque is affected but not to a point that it makes a difference to me. I noticed a slight decrease in braking but not as much as the difference in torque, I am a bigger guy (250lbs) so I think my braking was already kinda slow. I also felt much more comfortable going faster in the areas I usually ride. I haven't done an extensive range test, but I'm sure it's affected. All I can say though is that if you have bumpy roads or trails that you ride on these will make your ride much better! I was pretty skeptical about how much a difference these wheels could make and I was already looking at selling my g3 and getting an all-terrain board instead. However, due to the increased ride comfort, I will be keeping my g3!

I can’t seem to get a clear and concise answer when I ask iCloud or post questions so maybe you may have some knowledge to share with me. Can I just buy the cloudwheels from say Amazon without pulley kits and it’s just basically plug and play or do I actually need to purchase the wheels with pulley kit etc for them to work? Any help would be appreciated
Not that I hate the wheels, but just too big to my liking. I hate the fact they use ABEC style cores, but different measurements... And manufacturers are supporting these pulleys like crazy and neglect the Kegel and ABEC 11 style pulleys. The Donuts are a smart move. They give ppl with hubs an alternative to switch to. But belt driven boards they make it more complicated pulley wise All facts stated 👌. Great to hear it coming from you Dan
Question for you , my hub motor wheels have 6 screws and the screw heads are on the kingpin side of the truck ,not like yours . Do they have cloudwheels for those? Do you know?
does anyone know how the durability on these are I wanna get some for the backfire g2 black but I wanna know if they'll last or just tear up after 3 months
Great Video! Has anyone tried the conversion kit of them to not have to use the donuts but 4 "proper" cloudwheels on hub motor boards? Would appreciate any experience with those. Is it worth sacrificing the aesthetics of the board and the wider wheel stand where the hub motors are for maybe just a little bit more comfort (full cloudwheel vs. cloudwheel donut)?

Could be a number of things. Make sure your weight distribution is correct first. Try having your front foot as close to the front truck as you can, and have most of your body weight on the front leg. Have your front leg do most of the balancing and steering work, and your back leg kind of just assist.

Thank you so much. Great video. The video is short, more comprehensive than the others ive seen, direct to the point and less bias in my opining. It helped me make my decision and im sure it will help you too.
really appreciate how honest all your content has been man, appreciate it!
I've never tried cloud wheels but I love the wheels that come on the meepo shuffle s which I assume are just copies of cloud wheels
I just ordered the cloudwheels for my Backfire mini thanks to your discount code! can't wait to receive them! 😁
I have a backfire mini as well. How does it hold up on range with the cloud wheels? If it effects range by a relatively large/noticeable margin than I’m not really interested in them. But, where I ride, a lot for the roads are very bumpy and filled with cracks
@@Garyjpg Yes you have less range with the cloudwheels, but for me it's ok. I only use the backfire mini to go downtown, and chill around. But the ride is way more safe and smoother. I dont regret my purchase !
Oh neat, they made hub sleeves, now when are they gonna embed LEDs and charge ports? RGB Cloud Wheels?
See Awoah Mods and Verreal Glow wheels, they exist. Wish there were light-up hub caps though...
What classical music piece did you use at the end of video?
What piece of music was that?!
I switch back and forth between the cloud wheels and 5" tire weels.
Great review. I just got my zealot about a week ago already 100 miles. Have u had to tighten the belts at all. I can’t find how to anywhere because it’s mounted with no track to slide on. Thanks again
Sorry if i asked this on your extras channel: Does this work with Ownboard W1S?
Hey i have the wowgo 3 and been wanting to get new wheels. Do u know if the icloud donut for the wowgo knight fit the wowgo 3. Wowgo knight is the only thing listed on there page
have you figured it out bro? i have wowgo3 also and im wondering as well if it can fit
@@RonaldJayBuayan i msg cloud wheels and they said they dont fit but working on it. So fingers crossed that it comes soon
Are cloud wheels and the doughnuts the same thing? I just ordered a set for the hub motor and the new exway x1 max
I like it when you say contact patch
Love mine the stock ones were hard as a rock
How much do they reduce the range compared to 90mm urethane wheels?
I ride a Lycaon swift
Just be aware of the long ass shipping time! They come from China and I've now been waiting two weeks and they are only in Korea! I can't see them arriving for another two weeks at least! Just so you know!!
Daniel, are you an American living in Shanghai? If so, do you purchase these boards and accessories in the USA or China?
Is there cloud wheels for 6 screws hub motor?? All i see is 5 screws my electric skateboard has 6 screws
oh yeah it's the boy Kwan killin em ! may there only be one kwan
Hey DK... Need some guidance or help. I have a Wowgo Knight with belt motors and I want to put the 105 cloudwheels on. Any help would be appreciated
would these work on the meepo nls pro i didnt see it listed on there sight but you mentioned there might be some others it works with
Not that I hate the wheels, but just too big to my liking. I hate the fact they use ABEC style cores, but different measurements... And manufacturers are supporting these pulleys like crazy and neglect the Kegel and ABEC 11 style pulleys. The Donuts are a smart move. They give ppl with hubs an alternative to switch to. But belt driven boards they make it more complicated pulley wise
All facts stated 👌. Great to hear it coming from you Dan
If you have a direct drive skateboard, you better own some damn cloud wheel!
you mean hub wheels? or,....
You’re the man bro, thank you for sharing your knowledge and information.
Question for you , my hub motor wheels have 6 screws and the screw heads are on the kingpin side of the truck ,not like yours . Do they have cloudwheels for those? Do you know?
Awesome review as ever! Informative. Detailed. Entertaining. Loved it
does anyone know how the durability on these are I wanna get some for the backfire g2 black but I wanna know if they'll last or just tear up after 3 months
Does anyone know about how much range would be lost, I want to purchase them but my board only has about 20 miles of range
I love the rapid cuts edit. Intense but a good representation of the black and white euphoria and condemnation all over the internet about everything. A shared stream of consciousness. Like.
i was thinking about getting them but they are a bit too expensive in my opinion
Can you use these wheels on Bustin Boards sportster?
hi Daniel, awesome video! Can you please tell me if I can stick'em to my Meepo Mini 2?
meepo sell their own
I am one of those "great for" people. I love these things. I only wish I had them sooner than I got them.
great Video. im new to all of this and i would like to know if you have a suggestion on wheels for the lou board 3.0
I don’t think there are aftermarket wheel sleeves for LOU Board. You can change the front wheels but the difference would likely be negligible.
Do you know if the hub version of the cloudwheels are compatible with the wowgo 3
Great video. Keep up the good content
Found your channel last week
Bought the Zealot S because of your video
Bought a set of Cloud Wheels because of your video
Is there anything else you recommend?
Haha nice. Make sure you wear safety gear ruclips.net/video/eXoo7HfqVvs/видео.html
You the man Yung Kwan
Are these good for the meepo v3? They have been out of stock for a while and I don't know why.
Hi, should I get the 120mm or 105 mm cloud wheels ? What’s the difference ? I’m close to buy the 120 but not sure about that, someone may help me ? Ty !
(It’s for my exway x1 pro riot) thx
Don’t get 120, those will get wheelbite on X1 Pro. 105 can also get wheelbite but far less likely. Some ppl use 105 on X1 series.
What's the difference between cloudwheels and sharkwheels?
Are they compatible with Eon-Unlimited boards?
What about the backfire zealot with cloud wheels?
where do i buy the 105mm cloud wheels??
Just wondering.. I've got the ownboard AT1W.. are these cloudwheels more absorbant on rougher road surfaces than what ownboard supply? Or not much difference? FYI, UK roads lol.. Brilliant video btw. I've purchased spare ownboard wheels.. but looking like I shouldn't have bothered, and just upgrade to cloudwheel hubs..
I didn’t spend much time on AT1W but I think its wheels are softer than Cloudwheels. If I remember correctly… I could be wrong.
@@DanielKwan many thanks.. I javelin had enough time on the at1w but it seems to be a nice board.. even looked at your surfskate adapter and etc... I'm constantly looking at better. Especially from factory vs cloudwheels
how big wheels can you put on exway wave? thank you!
I wouldn’t go bigger than 105mm
Are cloud 105 good for the zealot?
Yes, I have them but it’s not sure I would say they are worth 150$
Do they work on the louboard 3.0?
Love those sneakers. What are they?
Nice but what is the internal diameter of the donut?
Do they work for Ownboard M1?
im upgrading to 120 mm clouds n wellseewhagappens
Did you put it on your G2Black?
Cloudwheels has a list of board they fit. I have them on my Backfire G3.
Thanks for doing this video. May I suggest you do a 1-10 with your opinion so we can get a sense of your "opinion" from a scale perspective. Like rate each point from 1-10. I came here to know if I should drop the $$ or not...
Hey Daniel, I just bought my first e skateboard. I've actually never been on any sort of board before so I'm taking it slow. I bought a backfire ranger x2. I get quite a bit of sperm wobble. Am I doing something wrong, is it just because of the double kingpin? What can I do to help me hit the hire speeds. Thanks for any advice.
Could be a number of things. Make sure your weight distribution is correct first. Try having your front foot as close to the front truck as you can, and have most of your body weight on the front leg. Have your front leg do most of the balancing and steering work, and your back leg kind of just assist.
do these work for meepo boards?
Cloudwheels are the best. Had mine for a year now and havent let me down for a moment.
I Am New To E Skating, I Just Bought The Zealot. I Don't Know If I Should Get The 120 Mm Because I'm New. I'm Wondering If The Board Will Be Good Enough For Range. Or Should I Get The 105Mm! Any Thoughts?
Try the stock wheels first. I wouldn’t get 120 for this board. Risk of wheel bite.
Thanks Daniel!
Great stuff Daniel
These suck in light snow . This is from riding in them on Monday in nyc.
The wheels deform under your body weight though, causing them to have a flat contact patch. If they were made of steel, sure they would have a skinny contact patch
Does it work in wowgo 3?
it seems like they've changed in price from now. disappointing I wanted to get them.
