- From cave to house. Nature provides all the materials we need to live. We just need to learn how. Long ago our ancestors knew the primitive skills and technologies for survival in the wilderness. In the Primal Tendencies series I show my journey exploring this land and learning what to eat and how to build a functional adobe hut to go from surviving to thriving in the wild during a period of 20 months.
I will continue to develop this place into a little village so please subscribe and stay tuned for more. Thank you for watching!

I totally Agree with you.
Exactly 💯 ... People think nothing is going on and it's all coincidence smfh. When SHTF those that can get back to basics will rebuild.
Only valuable to those who want to be free.
@@ChadZuberAdventures I've wanted to be closer to this freedom. Your channel is what inspired me to further learn and physically practice what skills eventually may allow freedom.
nah. world is ending.
This is a good ad to watch the whole series in order. The best thing about the series is the progression of one necessity leading to the next innovation.
What I've learned is that the principle goal of a human being is to make life easier and more comfortable. How far must we go???
did it ever rain in that year does he have a shirt or does he love to pose 24/7 😂 this is fake
as the video progresses and time passes i love how the beard grows along with the progression of your camp its like if it was a sign of the wisdom that comes with time
A beard has no significance of wisdom. It's annoying, that's all. Made me depressed to appear so old.
He went full Rick Grimes.
I think it looks great on you though... Really :)
@@ChadZuberAdventures sounds like something a wise guy would say
This is a strong man. Human nature knows our origins, and we love it. Modernity is good, but nature is king👍😁

It’s been a wonderful journey… been watching every bit of it and trust me this is beautiful … lots of love from Ghana 🇬🇭❤️
Thank you my friend! Blessings to you!
I like how realistic and simple but not always easy...I find myself captivated by your dedication to living off the land...kudos
You’ve achieved and taught so much! Only more to explore, it never stops. That’s the beauty

I love how the ads to start this video were for a $619/month car and a do your taxes ad. Gladly watched it all to support this 😊
I love this kind of recap videos and also the background sound... don't change them 🥲
Have been following your journey on and off for a while now, the beginning of this brought tears up as it brought back how excited and inspired I was when you started. Although I cannot follow you into the wild, you've really taught me that I can exceed my own expectations.
Wow! Thank you! I appreciate it.

Your journey has been phenomenal. I would say the building of the Abode hut has definitely a pivotal moment in your journey.
Having a home is one of the most satisfying achievements a person can experience.
@@ChadZuberAdventures How very true. I haven't seen any recent videos of yours uploaded. You must be very busy. Hope you're ok
Synchronizing the clips with music made the video excellent
Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it.
You are, without a doubt, one of a kind. Couldn't be a more interesting combo on YT. You and your skills. Love it :)
Thanks a lot

So good instance of empty-handed survival. Thanks for your videos!
Thanks!
I had a great time watching the full 24 minutes.
Been a long time a saw a survival video without bullshit, long talks and having a bore out before half of the movie.
Nice skills!!
Great stuff and great man. Your new channel is awesome too brother, shows another side. 👍

when I watch your videos, I am captivated and I forget the pain. I would like to see it more often :)
I feel the pain for you.
Shawn michael......❤❤❤ practical history without getting bored.hatsoff you.....
The guy has a well rounded knowledge of nature and skill. Congratulations buddy. While the rest of us may have some of the skill too but we may not have his patience. We tend to rush but i noticed he is 'slow' and deliberate..got to learn that..
Patience is king. It’s not easy. So many things I want done fast. I have projects I’ve started on two years ago. Little by little I work on them until I have enough material to make what I want.
Wow your camera held a charge for 20 months, thats impressive.
Hey Chad, even though I figured this out earlier but I am putting this in words today, which is, you're the same age as my dad and I see no similarities between you and him. You just don't look to be that aged person. Don't take it seriously, but I really appreciate your efforts and work that gives you contentment.
I just never got into the comfort zone in life. Life has been hard and continues to be hard today. I can't slow down and I have to be performing at my best so no alcohol, no sugar, no drugs, no days off.
Love from India....
I love these videos. Really time to actually get out there and practice these skills before the time we’re forced to live by them. Stay strong y’all, Christ is coming soon
Yeah this may soon be middle class living.
Wow just the best and it made such a difference that I had watched all the episodes. A really good job doing the overview. I hope you continue this series.
Man even made a primitive pinata, that's fuggin dope
Wow! You’ve explored so many things! Well done!!❤️🤗🐝
So much more to explore
@@ChadZuberAdventures yes! Can’t wait to see what you do next❤️🤗🐝
It's hard to believe that its been 10 months since you started your adventure. As D B said, :these skills will be very valuable in the future.
Chad in southwest, Dave Canterbury in the northeast, Frank Bush in the northwest, and others all have skills that they share with us.
Now, when they elitists make us "own nothing and be happy", we actually can thanks to folks like Chad.
The future is near

Hi i am from Australia ❤
Watching your Videos for me is like watching the life I will sadly never be able to live. Keep up the good content man enjoy the freedom
I hope my videos let your mind drift into this scenery.
holy sh*t, i love your content and you have my utmost respect. you are a real man in this time, go for it the next years
Thanks King of Darkness!
It's interesting to see all the steps to your journey in a row. We get to see your present achievements as the culmination of many days of hard, slow, painstaking work. Your patience, perseverance, and dedication are something remarkable. Thanks for sharing, as always. P.S. I'm curious. How do you look after your teeth? do you bring a toothbrush with you or something? Have you dealt with any other general health struggles as a result of your lifestyle?
The only health struggles I've had to deal with during my time out in the wild is physical exhaustion and weight loss. If I don't eat and sleep enough I get weak. Other than that, a primal diet doesn't require brushing of teeth. The end of a stick can be used. Yucca fibers and strands of my hair work well for flossing. The only other struggle has been dry cracked feet and fingers during the dry seasons. This is preventable by daily washing and soaking in a medicinal tea water. I just didn't take the time to do it because my days were always so busy filming and making stuff.
Calluses that crack seem painful!
rritant contact dermatitis/ eczema orthoergicum can actually occur by washing with soap too often. It actually destroys the skin. Only use soap when really needed.
This is such an awesome video, never knew those strands of grass could be used as soap. The primitive shaving was inspiring too.
Yeah I can’t over emphasize the value of soaking the hands and feet in an oily tea. Crushed juniper stems quien quite well. It really helps prevent cracking when done at least once a day especially at night before resting.
I watched every single episode and I would watch as many as you make
I hope to come across this guy when WW3 settles down.
👍 I’ll see you then!
Wow. Amazing how much you have accomplished there in a relatively small amount of time. Been watching them all, but when it is stretched out over time, one can loose site of it all. Very cool, thanks for docunenting this for us Chad. These skills will be quite useful to many soon I believe.
Yeah, it’s more impressive to watch it like this.

I kind of liked the beard phase. Invoked the imagination a bit, but I understand if he's more comfortable shaved.
I hated the beard
I remember you saying that.
It's like a season of alone rolled into one, very cool lol. You know, with your skills and one additional person, or even a few, its always crazy to think how much more can get done. I suppose that's why humans thrive in packs, despite the rare few who go it alone.
Yeah, a tribe is the way to go but these days the tribes are all working as slaves for corporations.
@@ChadZuberAdventures lets meet soon when civilization collapses chad, keep up the nice work

I'm currently homeless. I don't care about the behind the scenes. Your presentation is inspiring. Have you ever (I'm sure you heard this from others) the urban environment? It test everything.
Yeah, I've thought about doing an urban survival series. The problem is that it would be hard to film alone.
When level 100 Rust player decides to enjoy primitive life.
that was amazing! Inspiring as always, thanks again
I love watching this stuff, getting to know how our distant ancestors lived and did things
Good man!!! Definitely awesome!! Those skills are definitely a must. If technology goes dark a lot of people are going to perish real fast.. society has grown accustomed to everything being given that only a fraction of the world's population would survived if something were to happen to the world.
However people are surprisingly adaptable. It would be interesting to see what happens though.
excellent content, Chad! As always, thank you.
The thanks are owed to you.
i love that water filter
I actually do too. I'm very pleased how it turned out.

As a homesteader myself I appreciate seeing this :) as a professional primitive and traditional bow builder I’m surprised you haven’t done a juniper / sinew bow!!!!
I've made a few simple bows but I don't have enough experience yet to make a video about it.
@@ChadZuberAdventures not sure where you are, but I do arizona Ren fair, ohio Ren fair and Carolina Ren fair. Look me up, happy to give you some pointers, with what you do, it’s only right to build a bow!! 😂
@@BushcraftTexas I totally agree. A bow is the primitive weapon of choice. I had made a simple test juniper bow. I snapped it though. I gotta get to a place where I can dedicate a good amount of time to learning.
@@ChadZuberAdventures I could get you building a hickory pretty easy, hickory is a very forgiving wood and does very well plain or sinew backed. Juniper honestly is a pretty difficult build, though sinew backed they can be pretty bullet proof.
