"Stomping Tantrum is a damage-dealing move. If, on the previous turn, the user's last move missed, failed to affect each of its targets, or was prevented from being used due to an effect such as paralysis, Stomping Tantrum's power is doubled from 75 to 150. If the user was recharging, grabbed by Sky Drop, or any target of the user's last move blocked it with a protection move such as Protect on the previous turn, Stomping Tantrum's base power is not doubled.[1]"
it's how stomping tantrum works, if the previous move missed it doubles its power, in this case he used that same move because it was guaranteed to miss thanks to levitate
Its a move that always moves first and flinches the opponent hit if it connects, the trade off being you can use it only the first turn that the pokemon with fake out enters the field and that it is a relatively weak move. It is very useful to get some free damage off or finishing off a low health pokemon even if you dont outspeed normally. You can also use it in double battles to stop bigger threats by having your fake out flinch the potentially faster pokemon and having your other pokemon take it out. Having the ability to nearly guarantee a free turn and deal some free damage is very useful in higher difficulty games or competitive games.

I was thinking the sane thing, esp when it the video is just checking calculators and knowing what battles are coming next to plan ahead of time. it doesnt feel like a nuzlock when every single battle is planned ahead of time and no wild encounters.
Just give it some time. This game ramps up like craaaazy. Especially after Watson. The team magma gauntlet in Mt Chimney introduces permanent weather that doesn't allow switching for example. Even with calcs and "perfect" information it's super hard to beat.
@@rosscrawford8356it feels exactly like a Run & Bun nuzlocke. The idea that you can go into every battle blind and sustain a run is extremely unrealistic with some hacks
The other vods are raw content, the full stream (minus the initial countdown). These are kind of halfway between vods (is all the content except for the planning part) and regular videos (they are edited and have a thumbnail), so I think it makes sense for them to be 20/30 minutes long
There are clip channels that takes his content from the run & bun and post them cut (kind of like this). He doesn't mind them doing that but also don't want to lose out on his own chance to make his own content (my personal opinion).
So what? Let the man get paid. I’m sure if your job told you to do some extra work to get some extra pay you would say yes. Why leave a comment being negative when you could have just said something positive about the video or else just click off without commenting. Your negativity will age you years and keep you unhappy in your own life.
Brilliant video, love seeing these demonstrations of how strong your strategy skills are! I also feel like I learn so much.
I like the vods cuz I swear you can see the cogs turning in his head it’s sick
Smallant changed the way I count to 4 and it’s always funny seeing first reactions to it
It really is just that much more comfortable
Love these run and bun videos! Keep up the great work ❤️
The backseating in chat is next level
Holy shit
Perfect Watson
That was incredible
Could someone more knowledgeable explain what exactly happened with the Ampharos Stomping Tantrum?
Why did missing it make it more powerful?

I see I see, thank you~
It's called "Stomping Tantrum" because the Pokemon throws a temper tantrum when it fails the previous move lol
Bots everywhere I look
why did the poison sfx get censored lol
He was speeding up the emulator during poison/leftover animation. No sound during speed up
FEIN FEIN FEIN FEIN
Why does he uses fake out? (I really dont know)
I looked up the specs. Magnezone has Sturdy, so if he didn't use Fake Out, Low Kick wouldn't kill and Magnezone would get a hit in!

every other VOD on this channel is hours long, and for some reason these are all split up into small segments. whats the point? money grab?
Someone else is doing this particular game/run
