I've painted some brown trout and sold plenty as that's a very popular pattern. I put the spots on mine with a cocktail stick or a cotton bud for larger spots. Yours do look amazing but you missed out the red spots that they have. I also paint the back of mine with a dark earth colour then I go over it with a yellow which changes it to more like an olive colour. I use a Createx transparent sunrise yellow to get the colour on it's flanks and I also whiten the belly slightly with a Createx pearl white. I also have some real skin retail lures for sale to give people another option when mine sell out but the buyers say mine is better. I also paint rainbow trout's after watching you paint one and a pike pattern. I've also done quite a few armoured cyborg after watching yours and I've sold quite a few of them thanks to you. I did one cyborg lure with some red oxide over the silver which made the lure look like it was rusting. Keep up the good work as you always give me some inspiration and ideas for painting lures.

At this moment i am experimenting with an UV resin from Amazon, doing pretty well so far, this spring the pike get to judge how well it holds though 😄
