The TINA factor is just a farce of the BJP. Anyone would be a better alternative, even the Common man on the street. He would be guided by the Bureaucrats and would have the Country's interests in his heart. He would not destroy the Nation. For all we know, even you would be a much better alternative.

    • @sunitasunil1744

yes, the TINA factor was first propagated by Mrs, Margaret Thatcher. But that is history. In a nation of 139 crores, where more than 30% of the CEOs of the top 100 companies of the world are Indians, there is no dearth of people with leadership abilities amongst Indians. Not all leaders need have political bent of mind !!
Mr. Vaypayee, handled the politics and allowed bureaucracy to guide the governance. Dr. Manmohan Singh, handled the governance shoulder to shoulder with the bureaucracy and let the politics be handled by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi.. Everyone worked for growth.. there were pitfalls, but not as bad as they were portrayed. Now there is utter chaos waiting to be set on fire with communal polarisation. BUT the Indians for all their cultural roots coupled wit a good section being educated are not inflammable.. there is digression but no reaction to leading communal; polarization statements. that is proof of the pie that Indians dont want the current band wagon anymore. This was realized even in 2019.. but the Pulwama attack was orchestrated only to sow the nationalist sentiment combined with TINA factor.. Added to it was the bungled EVM and VVPAT. What is the guarantee the the EVM and VVPAT will capture the right choice ????????

I agree with Mr. Sinha, that any PM candidate at this stage, will indeed be a mistake. No one can be propped up against Mr Modi today. The BJP propaganda machine is way too strong. The only way forward is for the opposition, which has two years to unite, to show that the fight for the principles of the freedom movement are above their own political aspirations. If a united opposition is clearly apparent, then the stature of these leaders will automatically rise. You won't have a TINA effect then. The Opposition will be bigger than any individual leader and the electorate will vote for the United opposition front.

When we designate the PM face then incapable bunch of self serving sycophants also win. Let every state select the best candidates for elections and then make the claim for for PM .

On the TINA factor, I'm with the opinion of Yashwant Sinha as all he is saying is. It is not necessary to choose a party leader as the PM. Rather a efficient person too can be a PM from the 'United Front', by consensus, which may be believing in the constitution laid down by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar and the constitution framing committee, and work for the strengthening of the nation with the strengthening of the 'unity in diversity'.

He has been playing a critical role of awakening the opposition leaders as well as exposing the reality of present political crisis to the people of India. Interviewing him and Arunji is the best episodes you made currently. These two persons have pointed out what's broken and needs fixing. I think a mass revolution is brewing in India where we want to not only replace modi-shah but also bring in proper democratic processes in which we are less dependent on a leadership. Many European countries run governments which are not depending on one main leader but a whole battery of leadership. SO SINGHAJI MAY BE RIGHT IN HIS THOUGHTS AND SUCCESSED IN HIS AIM.👍

Imagine the head of a corporate office saying I am only so and so's boss, not yours. Once a person joins an organisation, he expects to be treated fairly and is entitled to all rights and privileges mentioned in the HR manual. So why does a citizen of India get treated differently based on his or her religion/class/caste??? Despite there being a ready manual (the constitution) for ready reference??? It is only a moderate party that can ensure the rights of all citizens.

Mr Sinha, you thought we will believe your theory?
1)UTI scam and Mauritius tax treaty case when you were Finance Minister.
2)You favored your daughter in law in Mauritius tax treaty case.
These are the reasons why RSS put pressure on Vajpayee and asked you to resign.

Because the scourge happening right now is because of RSS. If not Modi, there would be some other. Vajpayee was too moderate.

Females dont need goons to protect them, we fear them only. Unity ka mtlb bhi RSS ko ni pta hai, all they know is divide and rule. And a lot of people dont have a problem with a heterogeneous society, ye log apna Hindu rastra le kr yaha se bahar nikal le tb India shanti se rhega kyunki vaise bhi India ink baap ka toh hai ni. Anpadh log chale sbko padhane, irony of India.

It is actually possible to draw up a list of potential PM candidates from the opposition coalition.Almost all of them, with the exception of Rahul Gandhi, are (or have been)CMs or Cabinet Ministers. Most of these parties (except for the Shiv Sena )also have a record of having worked reasonably well together in the UPA under Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi. After the recent catastrophic experience of having just 2 people taking all the decisions (as pointed out by Mr Yashwant Sinha)…. I think a lot of voters should now be realising that a government which is formed by the coalition of quite a few strong leaders is better than one where everyone else is spineless. There are bound to be some tensions in the organisational dynamics, but the fact is looking back, one would agree that the coalition governments led by both Manmohan Singh/Sonia Gandhi and Vajpayee/Advani were much more competent and responsive to the needs of the people than the present one.In my opinion,it is now only the hard core Modi supporter who is still looking for a “ strong leader “ to singlehandedly call all the shots….everyone else is realising that shared responsibility (and power) as envisaged by our parliamentary system is a more humane option. After all “participatory decision making” is how most modern families and even good companies/organisations function. And a Nation should feel more like a family to its citizens, then being in the military or working for a soulless corporate head honcho !

If Yashwant Sinha was accommodated by Modi in his cabinet in 2014 or 2019 , this gentleman would be talking differently. Like Advani, Yashwant was also ignored. The former made some feeble noises earlier and is quiet now while the latter continues.

Yes. Their age thus their days are over. They should have gracefully. Yes, even Great Advani slipped tongue unnecessarily but reconciled to the fact, but this man not, unfortunately and harming his party and country as well by supporting these people who made country corrupt.

It's a bogus reply to why he joined BJP post Ayodhya demolition.......He was well aware of his party's plans.....yet he keeps on repeating mellowing down of ABB and LKA.......Advani was the pioneer of carnage caused by Rath Yatra....
It's all about his lost identity in BJP and fight for survival......exactly same applies to Shatrughan Sinha too

Now Rahul Gandhi is real person who has understood the pulse of the people of India. So he must be the PM of India. The real face of the modi and Amit shaw will come to light in the next election -Through Editorial people will know the truth. Good attempt.
