I say this to my friend who is supposedly also liberal. I tell her life in prison is a way worse sentence anyways if you want to punish someone don't give them parole and watch them cry and squirm in the court room... Nothing worse than life without parole

They told him that after he had already lent the car out to them and according to him didn't think they were being serious, though I would still consider him complicit to a degree, I still think a life sentence for that is insane.

Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time. Don’t associate with criminals if you don’t want to be implicated in their crime. I’m sorry, but I think it’s important to deter people from helping others commit crimes knowingly or otherwise…

If it was UNKNOWING, he should NOT be punished at all. It's extremely evil and wrong to punish others for NOT knowing. If he knew its a different story
