They gotta figure something out with the GPU utilization. I’m fortunate to have a 3090 with an i9-10900kf and it doesn’t maximize its full potential. GPU utilization hovers between 50-60%. I run on an ultra wide (pretty much 3k) and when on downscale it’s just uses less GPU with no fps increase. When I 2x upscale it, it then utilizes 100% with no fps drop lol.
I have a 5800x, a 3080 FTW and 4x16GB 3200mhz RAM. I was (and still am, sort of) having the same issue. Part of the problem for me was Discord. There is a hardware acceleration setting where Discord uses your GPU "to make Discord run smoother" or something like that. I don't have a way to see how much of the GPU it was reserving with the setting on. But once I turned that setting off, I went from 50-60% utilization to around 70-80%. On Shoreline in particular, I tend to get 85-99% utilization and around 120 FPS. Another thing that helped was ignoring what people say about "Tarkov works better when only on physical cores". This isn't always true. I have most settings turned to high or ultra and I range from 80-100 FPS on Lighthouse at 1440p. Disabling hyperthreading using Process Lasso actually cost me 20-25 FPS on Lighthouse. This seems to be really inconsistent from one person's rig to the next regarding HT though. I've tried just about everything though and I can't get Tarkov to use my gear to it's fullest. What I really want is to play on Medium to Medium-High settings and have Tarkov capped at 140 FPS so that I can utilize as much of my monitor's 144hz as possible. Honestly, if I didn't have a frame counter, I probably would never know. My rig runs the game perfectly, regardless of frame rates. But I have FramesPerSecond OCD and I want my frames. No other game I play has this problem. All of them use my GPU at 99-100% without a hitch.

Can only upgrade to 3060. Is it still worth or should I wait and buy new motherboard + better GPU? Wanna play streets, would a 3080 be fine ? :)
streets is very demanding on both cpu and gpu. not to mention it can also eat upwards of 20gbs of ram. i suggest upgrading your cpu and ram first to at least i5 12400f/r5 5600 with at least 16gbs of ram (32gb preferably). Your 1080 is still decent, just lower down some settings.
@@JegsTV so i just bought an RTX 3060 Ti cheap on ebay, will see in a few days. I already got 32GB of RAM. I barely had 20-30 FPS on Streets with low settings on my 1080. Hopefully just the upgrade on the GPU will be enough to be ablke to play Streets, since i currently i am financially not able to upgrade my CPU. Thanks for your advice!
@@JegsTV so I got it yesterday and immediately went on streets. It’s fine actually! I had about 40 FPS or less with my 1080. Now I had about 60-70FPS with the 3060 Ti. But there were some FPS drops to ~40FPS at some points for a few seconds, happened like 2 times in 25mins. I will play more streets later and give more feedback!
I have an amd ryzen 2600 processor. I'm using it with an rx 590 video card. I'm in the range of 60-65fps on average ( low settings ) If I switch to the amd ryzen 5600x processor, will there be a fps increase? (on low settings)
Theoretically it should be 3060 because of more vram for the memory leaks and for now rtx support. But in general 6600xt seems to be more powerful in other optimized games.

@@MrVoland44 1920x1080 and 2560x1440, technically a 1.7x difference. Also 1080 is 1K rounded, but 1440 is more like 1.5K. you won't care about this but Im just writing this for my own satisfaction ;p

It's always good to have the GPU instead of the CPU being the bottleneck to avoid stutter and freezing, but you can always just lock the fps a bit lower than your max and have a pretty good and low latency gameplay. For example if the game is running at 90 fps lock it at 85.
yes if ur shit is on low the game assumes you have a bad gpu so it puts most of the strain on cpu. so in tarkov you actually get less fps a lot of the time (or just no change) with higher settings

you'll be surprised at another stick of ram could do for your setup bro. youre seriously limiting the capability of ur pc by just using a single stick. also, make sure ur running at least 3200mhz, ram speed also plays a big factor on ryzen setups.
im with Jegs tv, i was running my ram at 2133mhz (stock) until i found out that you have to manually change it to run at full potential. (this was my first PC i built) once i changed that i went from 60-90fps to 90-144fps depending on the map on medium-high settings. im running 2x16gb at 3600mhz with a 3070ti and a R9 5900x at 1080p.
the dual channel is a massive difference bro. my buddy has a 2080ti and a 9900k and he had 48 gb of ram got 90 fps on lighthouse (offline) took out the one 16gb stick for 32gb and he got 130fps. ram is very cheap now its like $30 for a 16gb stick just don't buy takeout for a month and you can afford it lol
I love how you’re actually pretty decent at the game for once. Every single benchmarker is absolutely atrocious at games most of the time, especially one as difficult as tarkov.

Dont purchase this crap instead buy an amd card for half price and double performance
i have same cpu but was running rx 580 and could get 100 fps on most maps. make sure your cpu is overclocked and like both parties mentioned your power plan in your computer settings needs to be on high usage and make sure your ram is running at its full speeds and the game is on a ssd. HDD are outdated af and should only really be used to store your video clips and other bloat. if your ram is at 1600 id upgrade to a duel 32gb at 3200mhz at the minimum

the game is cpu bound so 100% i’d recommend the ryzen 5800x3d if u dont plan on switching to ddr5

check your ram speeds make sure they are maxed out to what they can run. also 32gb of ram makes a difference if youre on 16
this game runs differently on everyones pc. some guy will get 100+ fps stable then some other guy with a better pc gets barely 70
