To put it into perspective 29 seconds is roughly 1/5th more than 25 seconds. So after about 5 or so times of running there you'd have saved or wasted enough time to run there again from the courtyard

Now the question is if you pick Annex , do you get queued up with other people loading into the Tower via Courtyard? Will there be a few seconds of load time since most people will use the courtyard instead of the Annex?
Yep. I go to Hawthorne from the courtyard UNLESS I have bounties for Drifter or a Synthweave thing to turn in. Then I just use the annex and do them all in one sweep
I mean is it faster for Hawthorne too? Also I mainly only use annex if I check on drifter or ada on the way, otherwise I'm already on either shaxx or gunsmith anyway so its faster to just go than re-transmat
The other question is which one do you load into faster? Courtyard or Annex...add that to your time and see which is faster if you're going to Ikora straight from Orbit. :D
in my soul i knew it was faster, but the risk of getting that long ass load time in the courtyard bcs everyone in the damn server just went to the tower makes me wana use the annex for everything, that and that bungie did give some love to the helm so i didnt have to go to the tower
I always thouht the courtyard might be faster because of how long it takes with the annex I just never bothered to test it. All those seconds added up I've probably waisted an hour of my life spawning at the wrong spot >:( Darn you bungo

Just delete a character to get the new light quest and go to the steppes and activate the skip new light quest and you’ll be teleported to ikora 🤓☝️

I feel like this is common sense, it’s faster to get to Hawthorn through the courtyard and you run past Ikora on the way to Hawthorn
