I like the long races. Especially on a track that is rather difficult. It gives time to recover from mistakes and learn throughout the race. That being said I rage quit first race, lol
they just need to make a 5 choices using the same tracks but longer sessions / more laps for the 4th and 5th choices. Accommodate everyone's play styles and time they want to be on the tracks. I personally hate spending more time waiting in the lobby to race than it does to complete a 4 lap race.

If they keep experimenting like this, it would be interesting. Maybe just do GT.3 long and short of the same track. See how that feels? One of your best races ever as a viewer. I've seen every video, and this one is most definitely in the top 10 as far as racing goes. Shadow realm is a different scale. More endurance races! You do it well and it's great to watch. Even if you have to make a private lobby to do it.
It's probably fun for the top drivers, but for anything below A+, it's mostly 3-4 laps of actual racing and 15 laps (+30 mins) of tedious boredom. Did 5 races today all the same.

Endurance races are honestly my most enjoyed thing about the GT series. It needs to be a bigger thing. Races that can last longer than 2 hours truly show the driver and not just some guided track path or tire plan.
We need these longer races permanently in a race d. With weather & night, longer races u can make a comeback if u spin out. We need a permanent nurburgring 24h race
I noticed that with the latest change, The PP600 Tokyo Expressway is so much more difficult. I don't have a steering wheel, and find that my car keeps locking up on braking and spinning out. It never did this before the update :( - secondly, my car which could hit about 330kph on the straight now battles to reach 305, and my laptimes have gone from 2.12 average to 2.18.
Boss the end of the race 4 close together. I pitted on the 13th lap used the brake balance to preserve the front tyres. When you pit put half a lap of petrol in can go full speed all race. You’re slowest lap was quicker then my quickest 😂😂😂 I play on a controller though, haven’t got the space for steering wheel and seat till I move into my new house. ✌🏻
Good racing there. I noticed Rory making sure and steady progress too behind you. How's the DD extreme? I see you're not using the wheel but do you still have the base attached?
Quite honestly it was a great drive, but i'd venture a guess and say ppl like kie25 seemed to have a slightly better setup (yours seemed understeery, your fronts were wearing much faster than the rears too, probably too much rear wing etc). With a better setup you'd be on the podium no problem. While the best mod is driver mod, amongst seasoned competitors a small advantage like a good setup can be the difference between 1st and 11th lol.
Awesome race Steve... I think just a little more fuel saving along the way so you didn't have to manage it all in one block at the end... might have made the difference there.
just did this one, was winning comfortably in a low split and suddenly i realize i wasnt going to make it on fuel, last lap was MAD coasting but it worked lol. more long races please !!
Love it. The only thing, is I feel like the payout should be higher across the board. If it’s a good, close, clean race, and you end up last, you should still get more than a few thousand credits for doing a 40 minute race
This is similar to the 12 laps at Le Mans that was daily race C a few months ago. Was changed to 6 laps midway through the week which made it terrible.
I just did this race in a Porsche, great car!!! Started P5 and won the race, I was challenged the last 5 laps. I held on for the win… pace Yourself preserve the tires…
I would have loved this race configuration, but unfortunately, we had some Brazilian drivers (American market) that it seemed like their entire goal was to punt people off the track. Out of an entire week of racing, I had 1 clean race. It was quite shameful.

I've always said there should be 4 events. 2 daily races that actually change daily, a nominated vehicle event and a short Group BoP race. Then another 2 that change weekly, one 15-20 and one 45-50 minute one.

Definitely feel like you need to work on your fuel-saving strats, think a video on that would be really interesting. Fuel mixes is probably the worst way to save fuel on.
For 20 players lobby I think PD would have to drop the support for the PS4. Depending on the race conditions the PS4 sometimes drops frames, like being in the back on the pack, at night with rain. I don’t think it is GPU bound, like changing the resolution on the PS4 to get better framerates, I think it is CPU related.

easiest fuel saving, short shifting. If you shift when the rev indicator is about halfway up the range it saves quite a bit of fuel without losing too much time overall.
I just raced this. Started P10 out of 15, and ended in P8, with 10 players remaining at the end. I did accidentally knock somebody off track, but I let them pass straight away. I had a 3 second penalty, but I finished 9th, but P7 had a massive minute long penalty, ( so god knows what he did 😅) so I ended up a position higher. It was a lot of fun though, I'm quite new to GT7 and that was my first long race, absolutely loved it.
@quim-ninja-6919 ah I see. I was the first to pit because I stupidly forgot to change my tyres and went out on intermediates, and they wore out by lap 5. The racing mediums I put on lasted the rest of the race.
This is random but on your f1 2012 german gp 50% length no assists from september 16 2013 at around the 3 minute mark you say something along the lines of mercedes looks pretty strong for next year and you hope they’ll be strong how does it feel now looking back with them winning all those years

Yeah, using the DD+ wheelbase but I prefer using the McLaren rim.
