Part of the game. Same as any other. You're not gonna win them all. Thats what I like about this guy SuperGT. He finishes the race regardless. That's how it's done. You learn to fight another day.

I had the saying right. We already know that we're going to live through these races. The question is whether we learn why we lost, make the correction, then go back and wup some ass. Maybe one needs different tires, less downforce, short pit, etc.

This was a fenomenal race. I had some great, fully clean battles in them
Steve, this one was so impressive. Qualifying is not your strenth, you're not slow, but there's definitely people faster over one lap, although with enough practice you've proven to be able to slap in on pole. But usually you're somewhere between P4-10. But then comes the race. That's where you excel, making moves most of us can only dream of making them stick so often. You got sent to the Shadow Realm making the move of the month in this race, but came back and became the fastest dude on track. The Racepace of yours is something I need to learn! It's not just this race, it's something we can see in most of your videos! Keep doing this!
😂😂 that’s amazing, 8:50 pit exit is the cars strongest part of the track. There’s always a positive thing you can take away from this race

This was one of favourite GTWS Races in a while. I did the same as you Steve and had one go at 14:00, Managed to Qualify P2 & Finished P1 on a DR:A/SR:S Lobby! 161 Points in the bag and feeling very pleased with myself. Sadly, I have to miss tomorrow evenings GTWS race due to work 😭
Loved this race, got my first ever Sport mode win here! (C/S rank)

Would love to see the Bentleys in this game and also in multiplayer have the option of turning off driver names and country above the cars for better immersion
This race was so hard. And to add an extra level of suck, the people in my lobby kept playing bumper cars.
No practice & a one race challenge, still a top ten finish with all the quicksand out there! Champion title for keeping in the race.
There are only so much available hours in the day, and some drivers really put a lot of time and effort into GTWS.
I personally hardly have the time to maintain my modest DR rating in the dailies as I need the hours to get the consistency and confidence.

Love the bonnet cam view that you use. I wish others would. So claustrophobic in cab and tunnel vision of the track isn't very entertaining. This though, is superb. Bravo Steve.

Well done though Steve, I'm actually glad to see you do one of these without practice, a race that didnt go to plan and still showing you learned from it and stuck it to the end. I know SO MANY people who race in this game who could learn from that attitude

Are manufacturer events different for different dr classes? I'm in b and was playing gr4 and 18 laps.
I joined in on this one for the 2nd slot. I thought, let’s do it for the lolz. Practiced of course, and somehow got 300+ points for the 1st time. :D
I got 1st on medium tires but didn't realize i had to put once so I went from 1st to 11th 😅😅

I know I'm not. I finished 1st in my heat at Deep Forest, and finished 6th in the first round starting from the back. I don't think I have a chance finishing above 6th place around there. Not in the Audi R8 EVO. It's a handful around that track 😂😂😂

Following recent BoP changes the AMG is now a decent car (again). It’s mighty at Bathurst 🏧 so will be a good choice next round.

The Mercedes SLS AMG was codeveloped with Chrysler's Dodge Viper back in the Daimler Chrysler days. The Amg Gt was an eventual evolution of the SLS so they still share some design similarities.
Hi what are your steering wheel base settings? and what size monitor are you playing on?
Nearly all base settings yes, except for rotation 540, FFB 35. Monitor is 32 inches.

I have a question that if someone could answer it I'd appreciate it. Right now I mostly play Assetto Corsa/Competizione, Dirt Rally 2, RallySimFans RBR and occasionally Automobilista 2 and I've been thinking about picking up a PS5 specifically for GT7 as it seems to be a fairly good sim racer, but one aspect of the game that I've noticed while watching these videos that I really don't like is how when someone spins out/crashes a car it then almost instantly becomes incorporeal so that other cars can pass through it unharmed. I'm personally of the opinion that opponents driving poorly or making mistakes that can end up affecting you negatively is just part of racing that needs to be accepted and would prefer to leave that added element of danger in the game. Is there any way to disable that feature? I'm not saying it's going to stop me from buying the game if there isn't, but I personally prefer racing sims to really stick to the core ideals of what a sim is in spirit meant to be, a simulated representation of real life, which to me includes the stuff that could be annoying or race ruining.
i don’t think that can be disabled for online races i believe that’s a set feature for all races, regular offline races that’s not turned on
God, when the Genesis let you through at the 12min mark, he was indicating RIGHT, letting you through ON THE RIGHT... That really infuriates me because it's the DIRECT OPPOSITE of direction you're supposed to be indicating when letting someone through, you're not meant to indicate towards the direction you want to be passed on, you're supposed to indicate towards the side of the track YOU will be on so the car behind knows where you'll be. I had a situation like this a couple years ago in GT Sport where I indicated left but to my surprise got overtaken ON THE LEFT and ended up in a hideous accident.
How to tell someone doesn't have a license.
The AI on the Nordschleife indicates correctly when it's letting you through, goes to the left side of the track, indicates left, and vice versa.

are you still using the new steering sensitivity and getting used to it? Or did you switch back to 360
This was done before the steering sensitivity revelation so I was using 360 here. I am now using 540 which works a lot better.

@@MrTehNomsAFAIK that's how it works on tracks too. You're supposed to signal which direction you're leaving open for other traffic.
Yeah, I think he wanted me to pass given that he slowed down before the corner more than usual. It was slightly confusing though because he indicated right but moved left. I'll happily take the position though of course.

I watch a lot of ACC and what I can't understand, even in this high splits, people can't drive clean without contact. You could have finished at least Top 5. But good recovery ;)
