  • THIS IS MY BAIT TANK USED FOR STRIPER BAIT,IT WORKS VERY WELL AND ITS CHEAP COMPARED TO A 400 DOLLAR BAIT TANK.NO NEED FOR INSULATION BECAUSE STRIPERS DONT FEED WELL IN THE HOT SUMMER SUN,COOL THE WATER WITH ICE AND FISH AT NIGHT,WINTER NO ISSUES WITH HEAT SO ITS JUST FINE

    the best vid on youtube , very simple , very cheap, the one improvement would be keep the lid , drill a hole for hose, so baits dont get down in their and scuff the bodies and gills and make them stale, also if you desire insulation , get the sheet foam at home depot, cut slits in IT and form it around tank, and use hotmelt glue gun to attach

    Good job partner, about as professional as you can get for DIY. Yes you could make some improvements, but I am still congratulating you for a job well done. You do need a drain and a simple valve to drain all the water and junk. It has been said by someone earlier that you also need to have fresh water coming from whatever water you are in. But looks almost professional, good job. Partner, good fishing to you. From Alaska. . . where we have the biggest fish . . .

    I like it. Do you ever have any problems with bait jumping out of the open top?

    no problem u can do it how ever with filter and air supply but the general construction of the top lexan and uhmw plastic is the best way as it makes the tank ultra rigid

    What gallon tank did you use. 15gal, 30 gal. How many gallons of water do you think are in the tank when in use.

      Striperbent do you only fish fresh water? how do you get saltwater in it?

    • @Striperbent
      @Striperbent  10 лет назад +1

      you can add 1lb of pool salt per 30 gallons which helps with slimcoat of bait fish and i fish freshwater only.
