I swear every program that makes this process seem so simple just ends up being a scam. It's far more worth following this well-explained tutorial, than risking it because you're lazy!
You sir are a legend! I've spent over 2-3 hours trying different ways to move some large files from laptop to iPad. Google Drive, Google Photos etc. kept freezing and lagging. Wire transfer kept timing out and having issues. iTunes wasn't working for me either. Finally came across your video while super frustrated and annoyed. Hey man great video! I have made it work but I run into a little issue.
You see, I placed the folder I wanted to share on my Desktop. I followed the whole procedure and managed to access it from my ipad but I can access my whole desktop as well. At 4:03 you are showing 2 folders, a folder named Users and a folder named Video. If I access this Users folder I can then proceed into accessing my whole Desktop and other files/folder as well.
Any ideas on how to access my specific folder only?

I have transfered a folder containing PDFs and MP3s, but when i copy or move the folder or parts of it to "On My iPad" folder, they do not work if i am not connected to the WiFi. HI Safaa need your help. Followed tutorial exactly up to where you go to IPad and select File App. I cannot find the same one you have used. Am stuck having come so far. What other File app could you suggest that I could follow step by step to transfer videos from my pic to my iPad. Many thanks.
Thank you. This worked tremendously well for transferring 14 folders and their respective 8GB of files from PC to iPhone. Much faster than copying from PC to thumb drive and then from thumb drive to my legacy iPhone.

one thing I need to mention in case anyone else had a little trouble and didn't work for them with workplace wifi
I was connected to workplace wifi and at the last step, it says FAILED
so what I did was:
I went through all the steps as the video, if It didn't work: open your mobile hotspot at your computer
and make your iPhone/ iPad connected to your windows laptop (( This is gonna be the same Network for both devices ))
2) save your local network IP ( of your device) not the wifi you're connected to ( from network & internet setting)
3) now connect to the server through your iPhone/ iPad
and it's gonna work

I do have a question. I was able to set up sharing and I was able to access, from my iPhone, the shared folder on my PC. When the file I wanted came up on the iPhone, I selected it and chose the Share icon then Save to Files then On My iPhone the Save. The file I copied is a ringtone. How do I find it on the iPhone? Can I access it to make it a ringtone? The file has the extension m4r.

Followed the steps but got stuck in the last part to download files into my iPhone. However, I finally made it by try and catch, unsure how. Understood this video was release 4 years ago, hence, iOS UI or behaviour has changed. Is there an updated demo? I am using iPhone15 and I am a newbie in Apple product. Many thanks.

hey man great video although when I get to the iphone part and im in the file the contents will not load it gives me the message " Content Unavailable , the folder contents could not be displayed because of a unknown error. I have a lot of downloaded songs in that file that i want on my iphone from my previous phone and i would hate to lose them. please help !!!!

Hello, thanks for this video. But is there a way to transfer folders? The share option is disabled and hence i used the copy option and pasted it under "On My iPhone". I had pictures and videos from my old android device segregated into folders for easier access (since the app "move to ios" moved all the pictures and videos under one album and i had a tough time finding a particular picture). After using the copy paste option, i am not able to view any picture or video. It all appears as icons. Could you please help me?

Good video, thank goodness computers have simplified things over the years and we’ve moved on from the complexities of having to right click plus send to or having to go through the whole drag and drop process to move files !

I swear my ip address is correct the same from where yours came from “IPv4 Address”.

Thank you. Great explination. Is "AirServer" an app or is that a native Windows 10 built-in feature? or can you just use file explorer networking instead to transfer if you don't have AirServer.
Hi. AirServer is a private app unrelated to the video. He used the app to screen record his iPad to show to the audience (us). This method truly doesn't require any third party app. Whatever he did in the AirServer window, just do irl on your iPhone or iPad.
