Actually it kinda looks like it is a 12 year old Sunny, not Omori, due to the subtle outfit change basically representing the memory of the two witnessing what they had done.
Technically, it's actually playing a motif in the whole Pale Machine album, as that little melody is a tune found in all the songs featured in said album.

You should've seen the look on my face as I slowly learned that the kel nuked strat was deliberate. The best part is until hero gives the coffee, it's possible to _assume_ that the happy kel and flex were just random chance, but the moment hero raises his lil' bro's speed. *You know what's coming*

(but seeing new content makes me excited anyways! i absolutely loved the friends boss battle theme and have been listening to it on loop)
