I love this review because your ball speeds are similar to mine. Everyone else that reviews these hit them 300 yards and that is not realistic for most amateurs
Brilliant review, I always enjoy your videos. Just getting back into the game since stopping as a Junior player almost 19 years ago! I have just won one of these drivers in a competition and I’m looking forward to trying it.
Happy new year Hannah great review but how easy are they to get I ordered a set of new p790 irons in Augusta last year and I am still waiting after being told 3 weeks the driver looks good though cheers jj
Are the dispersion circles correctly labelled near the end of the vid? You said dispersion was what most impressed but the light blue standard Stealth looks all over the place, and the HD yellow circle is right of target which would be weird for a draw biased driver?
I'm looking to purchase a 2023 Taylormade stealth, however, I I don't see ladies shaft only on the HD for women which I don't want as I don't slice?????!!! Thank you
Will these new drivers models give 10+ meters improvement in distance compared to a Taylormade R360 model that I believe it's a 2003 model? Currently, my daugher drives somewhere 140-160m. Thanks!
Yes I suspect she would especially with the right shaft! I actually have a video testing different age TaylorMade drivers here ➡️ ruclips.net/video/4Eo921LKXgw/видео.html
I just bought a stealth after demoing one. It is not an "all Carbon" driver as alluded to in the video. Here is a quote from MyGolfSpy. "Simply, a Carbonwood is a driver with a carbon-fiber face. For TaylorMade, the Carbonwood is the evolution of the metalwood. It represents TaylorMade’s position that conventional titanium-faced drivers are obsolete (or damned near, anyway). To be sure, there’s still plenty of titanium to be found in the Stealth driver but what sets it apart from every other driver you’re going to see is its carbon-fiber face. TaylorMade is so committed to the Carbonwood that it has said it will never make another titanium-faced driver. It’s so serious, in fact, that job titles are changing. Guys have literally had the Metalwood in their job tiles changed to Carbonwood."
@@nationalclubgolfer I think it might be units of measure. If you convert 210 meters to yards thats around 230 yds carry which seems correct for your speed and spin rates. Your chart said yards but I think you meant meters. You may have even said meters during the video
@@seansack609 Ram had all carbon woods in beginning in 1984. Here's the data from Maltby's club guide. "Tour Grind Featherlite: Ultralite construction. All graphite head with slot groove on toe. I have watched many videos of this driver and it works well for faster swing speed players to get more ball speed, but does it work well for slower swing speed players 85mph or is the face to thick for us to get to flex. I have always felt that the callaway jail break stiffens the head too much for slower swing speed players to generate enough power to get the face to flex and get better ball speeds and am concerned this carbon face is too thick for slower swing speed players to get the flex and get the benefit of the extra ball speed
I'm 65, just took up the game again and recently went to Golf Galaxy to get a ballpark on my distances with my current clubs. (I was getting 195-205 yards with my 10.5 M5 [Tensei Orange R Flex]) While there I demoed the 10.5 Stealth [Hzrdus Red R Flex]). 2 out of 5 balls were going 215-220! I switched the shafts and got the same results. No gain in the M5, 10-15 yards gains in the stealth. I now own one.
The best dispersion circle was the yellow one, which was labelled as the HD model. Kind of surprised this was to the right of target line. Were the circles perhaps mis-labelled, and this was actually the Stealth dispersion?
Great job Hannah and thanks for the very honest review. But I've noticed a similar trend to all the reviews of this club. The performance is equal to the SIM2 with no major differences. So I can't see why anyone would put this in their bag unless they're interested in the "new tech" , "new look" or just the Oh look "Shiny New Driver effect".
Anything less than a X-stiff swing speed won’t notice a difference. But then TM don’t design drivers for 15 handicappers. You should change a driver every couple of generations, and make sure it’s fitted - most of the videos are with stock shafts that are all wrong for the player. This one probably included. Me? I’d be tempted as my bad drives are spinny, from what I’ve seen this driver would help with that from what I’ve seen. My good drives were longer 20 years ago with the R300, but everyone forgets the shockers they hit that go nowhere.
My daughter has a swing speed of 65mph, she is ten years old and using a TS1 driver. Do you think the womens stealth driver will help her, in regards of distance and accuracy? Thank you.
Good question! Both the TS1 and Stealth Ladies are set-up in a similar way to help people with slower club heads speeds Obviously the Stealth is newer so would expect some more distance but she might also see that from the TSi1. I think the best thing that is going to help her here is a good fitting. Getting the best shaft and possibly having it at a lighter swing weight might work the best. Where about's are you based?
I just got fitted to Taylormade Stealth irons and hybrids, and man are they hot. That said, I tried the Stealth driver, and it didn’t give me anything more than my good ole Titleist on TrackMan, so I decided to skip the whole “new shiny driver” syndrome. But it looked and sounded nice.
The HD grouping didn’t look like they helped to draw ball. Most draw drivers claim to help with shot shape but it’s basically the user that determines direction.Just my opinion.
Not really! All driver heads are maxed out now, PGA has set the limits and the only thing now you can work on is more forgiveness across the face and match it with right face. The rest is up to you to put the right swing on the club. Most people don’t have a 110mph + swing speed. Is 5 yards really worth the the extra dollars? Each to his own.
If you already have a sim 2 don’t change, it’s worthless. If you wanna buy one then get the sim 2 just because the prices have dropped a lot. Besides with the very agressive marketing of taylormade it’s quite clear that a new stealth 2 will pop up next year. It’s never ending.
Normal blue collar golfers don't invest in expensive Taylormade equipment. That is why you only see pro golfers and reviewers use Taylormade clubs because they these clubs for free. Nobody who will pay for clubs out of their own wallet to be labeled obsolete by Advertisements because the next gen is more forgiving and goes farther because of Unicorn Horn Technology and Nano Semen from Bigfoot.

Great video. But are your numbers off ? 140~143 mph ball speeds should be more than 208-210 yds carry, No ? Especially with a nice mid 2k spin
Yeah that didn't make sense to me either?? Maybe not hitting off the face??

Yes its the swing room at Huddersfield where we are both members :)

Hannah, with your swing speed are the spin numbers high for the best optimization of distance and roll? Thanks
So for my distance about 2300rpm is optimal
So overall the spin numbers were higher. Do you attribute that to the stock shafts that were used and changing shafts would get the spin to 2300?
