I personally believe it has something to do with how the majority of white creatures have pink noses simply due to the lack of pigmentation (look at albino animals), but there are a few holes in that idea (such as why it’s pink instead of blue, considering skin is pink due to the red blood underneath) I love your take on it!
The icewings are one of my top three favorit tribes from wings of fire. But all my icewing character are to some degree like Winter or Arctic haveing left the ice kingdom forever in order to get there freedom or just a better life. Also i have been waiting for a closer look on icewings for a while and also cant't wait for the one with the Nightwings
Honestly, the ice wall being destroyed and all that was a good thing, the BAD thing is that Tui didn’t give them more worldbuilding and interesting things in their society. The ranking system and their society is provably toxic towards dragonets and their self esteems. Which is why I think it was interesting and a good move for Snowfall to do so, it just sucks that the Icewings don’t have more good cultural aspects about their society.
Same, I feel like Tui just made them for a winter tribe because she needed one. They’re my favourite tribe, but they just don’t have any impact other than getting beaten up by nightwings. I wish they had more world building around them that WASN’T just implied.
This is a little off topic, but why did everyone assume that the ‘talons of power’ mentioned in the jade mountain prophecy refers to Vulture’s Talons of power? I mean, the entire Vulture conflict was very much a filler story to have enough content to fill a book. Isn’t it more likely that the talons if power refers to the animus test held by the seawings? Hear me out, the talons of power ceremony was a big plot point in turtle’s past, and was also the reason Anemone was an animus. Also, the Seawing animus Fathom was Darkstalker’s best friend, and darkstalker is the main villain in the 2nd arc
Foeslayer wasn't captured in battle I think. She took off her protection earring and an enchantment that queen diamond had sent took action which was to send her to queen diamond or something
Wasn't Snowfox who became the Queen of the ice wings, was a couple with Snowflake, if that was the case then they would have to had adopted there daughter. Then they're adopted daughter would probably became the next Queen of the ice wings. So Queen Glacier might not even be blood related to Queen Diamond and Prince Arctic. So maybe that was what happened to the animas magic instead of a long line of bad genetics.
When I was reading Winter's book I couldn't help but think IceWing society is reminiscent of North Korea. We were told that if Winter / Icicle / Hailstorm slipped too far down the rankings then so would their parents by association, and that would mean they all lose their place in the ice palace regardless of their direct familial relationship to the queen. This gives the impression that their home doesn't actually belong to them, it belongs to their rank. Again, like in North Korea where several defectors have described how in the capital city their job title dictates their residence and quality of life.
@@krztorooindustriesYou have a point, they’re my favourite tribe, I just wish they had… more to them? They pretty much only exist as a punching bag for nightwings and for a filler wintery tribe. It’s such a shame too, they could be so much more interesting!
Hey charcoal, just so you know, the gift of vision doesn’t give the wearer visions of dragons and human’s memories, it can give visions of things in the present time to.
Anyone else confused with the IceWings Forbidden Treasury? It's not like the Animus touched things down there are dangerous as the name implies Snowfall takes 3 of them out & they all do exactly what they are supposed to, no strings attached so what is the point of locking them away as if they have lethal curses on them???
Because it's not true nor confirmed anywhere. That's a popular theory based completely off .... Albatross looking weird and being an Animus. That's it. However there would have been more royal drama and a war if he was actually a hybrid. The dragon tribes tend to be very racist and anti- cross tribe breeding.
The IceWings only destroyed the dragonet rankings the adult wall was kept. Queen Snowfall and Lynx agreed it wasn't healthy for the Dragonets to be "pitted against each other"
Of all the tribes of Phyria, IceWings are my least favorite and SandWings are my most beloved (although I LOVE Winter - I ship Qinterwatcher, deal with it - because he's the black sheep of his family and reminds me of my brother)… Qibli is without a doubt my favorite WoF character and I can't wait to get Darkness of Dragons from my local library today as I just finished book 9 last night... Turtle is actually a really good character although at first he just seems like a boring, introverted SeaWing at first. :)
Yea, they lost something that made them unique plot wise, but it’s for the better because in reality their society was incredibly toxic and manipulative so it’s definitely good that snowfall brought change
Maybe pink because idk maybe they ate shrimp (like flamingos) and turned pink? But idk about shrimp living there in a place so cold. Maybe just something they have?
I believe that it’s only Wasp. It makes sense because of the plant thing and how much she has to consume. She’s also the only HiveWing to have been mentioned to have green blood.
What if IceWings have blue blood not because of genetics or anything but because of what they eat with. In the past, for humans, when royal families had blue blood, it was because they ate with utensils made of silver. Maybe that's what's happening here, too? This is just my theory, though
I guess I’d refer to you as Charcoal here? Lol but okay, I won’t start a comment war like I joked about to increase engagement, but I will keep my word about what I said and like all your videos soon enough dude lolol
I am furious at Snowfall for impulsively destroying the IceWings most ancient gifts! It just baffles me how much destruction she caused. Also I have a theroy that Tundra will challenge Snowfall in the future.
I think the crown was the only thing that had to be destroyed but I sorta understand her. They don’t know what else Diamond has enchanted, the crown was the first thing she’s discovered that has a negative spell cast on it. I didn’t expect her to destroy nearly everything. But if she had destroyed the gift of vision or that other gift that I can’t remember, I don’t see why she would. And I don’t know if that’ll be possible. What encourages Tundra to challenge her niece for the throne? That leaves another question lingering in my head - If Tundra’s her aunt and possibly Glacier’s sister, why hadn’t she been chosen as queen?
@@chronicwasp I mean when Snowfall was “dead” for the two weeks she’s been gone but they put Mink in charge instead of Tundra Can’t tell if Tundra took Glacier’s words on her death bed a little too serious and made her youngest daughter queen for two weeks.
