    No other jet beats this one. I don't care what it is or what country it came from. The Raptor beats all.

    You do realize that the F-35's RCS is 0.005m2 compared to the F-22's at .0001m2 right?
    Is it more in danger? Of course it is, however that's like saying that a person is more in danger from a tactical nuke vs. a strategic nuke.

    I think the highest quoted cost I've seen for the Typhoon is around $100m, where did you get that from!!!!

      There's another Raptor demo team touring this year with Maj. Paul "Loco" Lopez. I'd like to see them when they come to Virginia in May. They have a pretty full schedule, from what I understand. Look them up!

    Um, they are developing two different helmet cuing systems depending on its role. The Marines will be using a different helmet than the Air Force and Navy are using. It has nothing to do with "they can't make it work".

    How it is a flying pig? It is faster, more maneuverable and carries a better weapons load than the F/A-18, F-16 and A-10 its replacing...

    silent eagle is over 100million the all incost of vstol f-35 is pushing 280 million if you include development costs f-35 is a very unimpressive plane that is depending on a lot o expensive avionics that they are having trouble developing .They are even developing 2 helmet cueing systems for lt because the preferred one cannot be made to work .The lowest current estimate is more like 130 million and you can take that with agrain of salt

    It will be flying against pak-50's with L-band radar in their leading edges that have been shown to be effective against low rcs objects and su-35 with new radars receiving radar intel from pak-50 via data link. Not to mention S-300, s-400 mobil sams. The raptor with a rcs of a marble has a chance in this situation and if necessary the ability to escape . The f-35 would not be so lucky and is more in danger of being shoot down.

      I know this comment is 10 years old, but it’s crazy to think that today, the F22 has an rcs of 1/10 the size of a fly! Fucking insane.

  • @ironman7261
    @ironman7261 12 лет назад

    should have made more and used billions on f-35 development to update avionics. f-35 will have more advanced avionics but is a flying pig.it was originally to cost 80 million do you think they had a straight face when they came up with that amount !

    A general recently said it takes 4 f35s to do what 1 raptor can and that's why they need all the ones they say they need. All that tells me is its time to kill that turkey stop wasting time and money and build more raptors. Recent dog fight pitted f16 carry in a fuel tank and thus limited in GS against a clean 35 not carrying any weapons thus flying light. F16 kicked its ass

      Actually the latest quote is by a air force general said a 2 f-22s do the work of 8 35s will try to find link and post

      He was talking about air superiority. He even says in that article, the F-35 is more geared towards ground targets, and he says the F-35 is to the F-22 as the F-16 is to the F-15. This is the concept is known as the High low fighter mix.

    • @Spartan136
      @Spartan136 8 лет назад

      People say the F-16 beat an F-35 in a mock dogfight. However, in the actual report it is shown that this wasn't a mock dogfight at all, but was, in fact, a test was designed to stress the high angle of attack control laws with a _modified_ F-35A called AF-2. Also, the F-16 was fitted with the fuel tanks so it could fly as long as the F-35, not a performance limiter.
      The Report:

      +Spartan 0136 Because of flexing in the fuselage the 35 is limited to 3 gs to pervent
      engine fires the fix would make it even more over weight then it already is. At the rate they are draging their feet on flight tests they will have bought over 250 of these planes before they know it it can do the job they say it can.
