I made one of these for the Linus project, but I'd love to make a rectangular one on my couch. I was wondering if it would work the same way if I just made a longer chain like the Granny Square retangulars?

I love the fact that you are working on a black background! It makes it so much easier to see and doesn't strain my eyes as so many others do. And instead of using your finger to point to a stitch, you use a needle to demonstrate where to hook. Thank you for making things so easy for this easily confused learner! 💟

I think I am the only one who is having issues by the look of things but I have to do your skinny corners as my regular corners and your regular corners as my fat corners every 3 rows or my blanket doesn't work up flat. I just had to flip flop things so it didn't get all wavy. I don't know what I'm doing differently but its working up wonderfully since I made that change. I decided to give it a whirl!!! Thanks for being so clear and concise with instruction.
I'm doing mine with Peach #6-Chenille and 8.0 hook. White is 4- acrylic/cotton blend 5.5 hook. I like the contrasts in the mixing if yarn weights. If you've done so before, what are some things that will/might go wrong with my working it this way? Thanks!!

I cant remember if I left a comment when I finished my spiral granny blanket. Had a look in comments but don't see one from me. So: Thank you so much, it looks beautiful! It worked up really quickly once the spiral got going. I really liked how I could put it down for a few days and come back to it and know exactly what to do next. I also love not having to count stitches and rows. My first blanket (yes, making another! 😃) I did 100% wool, with one cream spiral and one multi-coloured spiral. The second I'm abou to start in 100% cotton and with an ombre effect (I hope) going from light to medium to dark in one of the spirals. I love this pattern heaps and can't thank you enough for your tutorial. Your voice is very pleasant and you explain everything very clearly which, as a beginner, I really appreciate. 🌻🌻🌻
